Anyone else watch "Once upon a time"? I just found it on netflix. I am loving it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE that show. That and Revenge were the 2 best new shows last year.

47 days and 12 hours until we leave our house.

We decided to surprise our DD5 because we didn't want her getting all excited about going when my 3 nieces are not. They have all been twice already, but this time my DH is going (1st trip / 2nd try, long story) and he just wanted it to be us, so my sister, 3 nieces and parents are not going. Although my BFF, her daughter and her parents are going at the same time. It's a surprise for BFF's daughter too.

Since myself, DH, BFF & her dad are all bowlers and often travel for tournaments, we are going to tell the girls (when it is closer) that they are going to a tournament with us. We are driving down from New Jersey, leaving on Friday, Nov 9th and planning on staying in a hotel somewhere in South Carolina. We are not sure if we are going to tell them on Saturday morning that we are actually going to Disney (we have "Surprise We Are Going To Disney" shirts made) or just let them figure it out when we pull into All Star Movies!

Glad to hear of all the surprises, hope everyone posts pictures and reactions after the big reveal!

Both of those sound like great reveals! I will definetly post pics, can't wait to see others as well!

I've been trying to catch up with what everyone is saying. Lots of changes for some of us. Love hearing from everyone. Now that school has started we have gymnastics and ballet and tennis. And I've been going to the gym in the mornings. Going to Disney and being able to slow down is going to be the best part of the trip.

Good Morning!! Happy Sunday :goodvibes

So praying for a big win for my Ravens today as they battle the Patriots for 1st time since huge upsetting loss (still not over it yet :( in AFC Championship game) As you can guess I am a huge sports fan---my mom always said I was her "boy in girls body" child. lol!! Its true I guess as I do get passionate about my home teams, and what about our Orioles this year, huh?? Simply AMAZING!! Can't wait to see what the end of this week brings and hope they can come out ahead of the Yanks finally---have been chasing them all year! Wouldn't that be a switch for once??

Went over our plans again yesterday and how to break the surprise that we upgraded to the Royal Princess rooms at POR. They think we are staying at POFQ- My husband and daughter Sarah are driving from Pensacola- and we (Myself and DD 15 Rachel) will meet them at front of POFQ- I was thinking...when they pull up just saying....Beryl (that's my DH- I don't think we are in the right place are we? And he'll say "you know I think you're right...Mickey sent us a little surprise and we have to get back in car and drive just a wee bit farther....we will ask them to cover their eyes or blindfold them, since its a really short trip go over to checkin (or I can try and do this beforehand if I can sneak quickly while I leave Rachel in gift shop or something) and go to room where surprise will be revealed. Any other thoughts on this?? I want it to come naturally. They have NO ide of what's coming. We also plan to have our room decorated by the Disney florist people as well since we are celebrating Sarah college graduation, and Rachel's sweet 16!!

We are UNDER 40......woohoo!!! 39 days to go!! We started packing yesterday!!!

Yay!!!! We too are at 39 days! But I definitely have NOT started packing yet. I will probably start packing only a week before the trip. I'm not sure what clothes to pack.
We will start our Disney countdown at the 30 day mark!

We are surprising our kids (DD12, DS 10 DD 7) too. My Wife wants to wait until the morning of our flight. However we have to be up at 4am to get to the airport. Not sure what to tell the as we wake them up. Its also their first plane flight.

Any idea's

Maybe set their clocks ahead so it looks like they are getting up at the right time until you tell them??

We're suprising our DD12 and DS10. Our flight is at 8:45 AM, so we can get them up at regular time for school.

Good luck!!

Why are you cancelling? I must have missed that part. I'm not there on the 21st but for ease of someone else trying to snag it, what time is it for?

It was for my mom and sister at 6pm however now my mom isn't going with us at all. So here are the details:

Nov 21st for two at 6pm.

Just a hint we used today that I thought I would share with everyone. Today we paid off our Disney vacation (45 days). We went to Target and opened a RedCard and we purchased $1200 worth of Disney gift cards and since every purchase is 5% off we wound up saving $60. Then we called and read the numbers to a very helpful agent pver the phone until it was paid off. It was a little time consuming (1/2 hr) but $60 bucks is a lot of Mickey ice cream bars and Dole Whips!!

Mmmm more Mickey ice cream bars.....

Congrats on paying off your trip:woohoo::cool1::banana::banana::banana::cool1::woohoo:

I'm going Nov. 6th and heading home on Nov. 12th and staying at POR.

I'm really looking forward to it. I spent the weekend reviewing my plans and decided that since I'll have the chance to see 3 different bands at the F&W Festival, I had to change up my plans and a dining ressie to give it a try.
I really want to see Big Bad VooDoo Daddy so I made sure I can adjust my plans last minute if I can't see them on my first try. I read that the line can get long for them.

It'll be my first F&W Festival!

I was so into that show and then I lost a little interest. I want to give it another try. I think the evil queen got on my nerves. I really wanted someone to smack her and chop down that darn apple tree of hers.

I feel the same way! I can't believe in 43 days I'll be at Disney! WOO HOO! :cool1:

Yes, sometimes I can't believe it either and we hit 2 months exactly tomorrow.

I have to finish our shirts. I feel like I'm working and working and I'm not getting anywhere. I don't think I realized how much work was involved; I never made shirts for a trip before and I guess I should have started earlier in the year, but I've already been working on them for weeks now (maybe 2 months). I didn't know it would be such a long project. :worried: :faint:
