Does anyone know how good the wifi is at aoa & cell phone reception?

Anyone currently staying AoA (preferably Nemo Suites) I have a question about outlets and the windows...so if you could PM that would be great

I was there 3 weeks ago. There are 11 open outlets throughout the suites. I counted because I knew inquiring mins would want to know.

Remember there is a false front panel on the from of the bureau - right under where the TV sits. Open that up and there is a double outlet plus a/v outlets as well.

The wifi is very weak. 3g signal was strong, I used that to get online. I didn't pay attention to the phone signal because I wasn't planning on making any phone calls.

Thanks for your answers I'm really torn between staying at the Art of Animation in a LM room and Pop... Has anyone stayed at Pop before and then in the LM section at Art of Animation?? I'm wondering if the distance from the LM section to the main building is any further than the 80s or 90s section at Pop is from their main building... can anyone comment on this? I don't mind the walk at all but we're going with my mom and dad and I'm going to be dragging them around enough at the parks, I don't want them to have to do much more walking back at the resort! LOL

I'll let you know in 9 days . We stayed in POP and will be staying in the LM section in 9 days! I did request building 7 so hopefully I get it. However, I will say that Dh and I will be driving so I'm debating on skipping the busses this trip and just driving to the parks.

Cell reception was terrible for me. I got a signal around the resort once or twice, but never in the room.

The reception was so bad, that I called and they reset the modem. It was much better but still not great at all

What about the buses since the whole resort is now up and running? We are booked in a Cars suite, but if buses are too bad we are thinking about changing back to WL.

What about the buses since the whole resort is now up and running? We are booked in a Cars suite, but if buses are too bad we are thinking about changing back to WL.

I read someone's post about AoA that the longest they waited was for 90 minutes at MK back to AoA. I think it was after Wishes. I believe they also said that aside from that time, the buses were fine.

We were there at the end of August. LM hadn't opened yet. It wasn't busy season yet it wasn't quite value season. We never had an issue with busses leaving AoA. The one time we had just missed a bus, and this was the only time there were more than a few families at the bus stop. We expected to wait awhile but they converted another bus to our location.

Leaving at park closing is always standing room only. One time DH and the big kids wanted to leave MK before wishes. They got to the bus stop and there was a bus there, but the bus didn't leave until wishes was over and the bus filled up. So they got to watch wishes from the parking lot (minus music and castle) and were the first ones on the bus.

We just returned and I posted that we has a problem only night after emh at Magic Kingdom. That for us was the exception. The buses were really good after that. Little waits( less than 10 min for the most part) AoA is about 10 min from Epcot and DHS and Ak and about 15 from MK. Best overall bussing experience. I was happy with it!

I sure hope they will be able to fix the wifi reception in the room since so many, myself included, bring notebook computers or iPads or other devices. I don't do a whole lot online while on vacation but I do keep up with my email each day.

I also use my cell phone to keep in touch with family while I'm on vacation so that access is important, too. I have an iPhone 4S on Verizon.

Has anyone compared the reception of different carriers while at AOA?

Just using Verizon, not wifi, on my Droid was great. It was a little iffy around 11 pm but otherwise no issues.

Just checked in and the LM suites. Small but cute! On top floor and can hear noise from all over, but overall quite nice and clean inside. Wasnt expecting the crowd to be as big, but not terrible.
