My BFF and I will be on the Wonder out of Miami this spring. Does anyone know where I can find information on hotels near the port and possible transportation from Miami to WDW after the cruise?

Princess Sleepy, We didn't do WDW from the port of Miami, but we sailed out of Miami a couple of times and loved it. We stayed at the Intercontinental (on Chopin Plaza) right by the port. Back then we paid $20 extra for a port view and I loved it.

We were able to walk to the port boardwalk where all the restaurants and shops are. We loved it. Google Bayside Market Place, Miami.

We found it was easier to taxi it when we were ready instead of waiting for a bus to fill up.

Sailing past Star Island and South Beach, all the mansions and the huge condo buildings and the beach was a great sight. Don't miss it. :cheer2:

There is a Holiday Inn across the street too.

We loved sailing from Miami! :flower3:

I want to know too sice I'll be going next year.

How far is the intercontinental?

Hi,
Here's the Miami thread.

Hoping there'll be more info once the wonder starts sailing. There is some discussion there though.

We're booked into the Holiday Inn-port of Miami across the street from Bayside. Heard good things about the Intercontinental but I couldn't get it less than about $450 so that was out for us!
Everything in Miami seems very expensive. :goodvibes

Yes, it's been years since we stayed at the Intercontinental. I believe it was the hotel Royal Carr. put us in as we purchased their air and pre stay hotel. The first time we purchased their transportation. Which meant, sitting there in a luxury bus waiting for the thing to fill up. The next times, we just took a taxi and it was cheap and easy.

But, the Holiday Inn is great! Great location! pixiedust:

Close to the Port of Miami, we stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell Downtown. It is an amazing new hotel with free Wi-Fi, breakfast included and next to Mary Brickell Village for fun.
