We are staying over the week of Halloween (10/26-11/2) - we rented points for a one bedroom with standard view.
Any suggestions for us for a quiet room? I would like to think we may be able to get our 5 y /o boy to nap once or twice - so, do not want to be near or facing the busy pool w/ a slide (Luna).
It would be nice to have a firework view (Epcot) - and also would be nice to be within 4 - 6 rooms of the elevators.

I know my choices are pretty limited with standard view and I don't think they will upgrade us.

Any suggestions!?

thanks!

We rented points on a one bedroom in January and we were all the way at the front of the resort facing the small waterway next to the parking lot and it was very quiet. We actually never saw anyone down that way the entire 4 nights we were there. And one thing we liked was that there was a door to the outside walkway to the bus stop, so we didn't have to trek all the way back to the lobby and back down.

The member you rented from will need to make any requests for you. The standard view is along the front/main drive of the resort. You will not be on the pool side or Boardwalk side.

You will not be upgraded unless the villa you are supposed to get is the very last one bedroom villa with a standard view and it has to be suddenly taken out for maintenance. You don't want to even mention "upgrade" to the front desk when you check in. They will charge you extra points and you don't own them.

There is only the one elevator bank, so if you want to be closer to the elevator, ask the member to request close to the elevator.

I just wanted to say that you have helped me a lot in my planning... Since I discovered DISboards and renting a year ago - you always let us know what to expect and how to request the best possible locations! and that is in all the DVC resorts we had stayed at.. 3 so far.... So THANKS.... very much appreciate all your help!

Just checked in to BWV. We are overlooking the clown pool, and looks like we are just above the campfire. It's a great location, but a little louder than I expected due to the pool. Nothing we can't handle though. We are just resting now, hoping for our bags from VWL, and major thunder just cracked over our heads. Good times. Suddenly the pool sounds empty. Lol. Loving our trip!

Just be thankful that they disconnected the elephant that used to trumpet every 5mins( I may be exaggerating, but it seemed that bad). Enjoy your trip!

We had Tutto at Epcot during EMH. I don't think we've ever had better service anywhere! and the espresso martini. Yumm. I just love the cannoli there. Cannot find a good one in Cali!!!

Espresso Martini?! No wonder you're up so late;) (or are you still on CA time?) Sounds like even though you're REALLY out of points, you're having a great time - what's on schedule for today?

Late start, but spending the day at DHS, and eventually diner at Epcot (Chefs) and Illuminations. It really is great being this close to Epcot and all the dinner choices.

Hi - I'm planning only my second WDW trip ever and I'd love to stay at the Boardwalk, but I'm a bit confused - do I understand there are no restaurants on site? The Disney website lists several restaurants for this hotel under its "dining" link for the Boardwalk Inn - so those places are just along the Boardwalk?

From what I remember of the Boardwalk area, there's plenty of restaurants right there, so it may not matter. But there's no on-site, in-hotel coffee shop or something? Thanks.

There is a lounge inside the hotel, but no actual restaurants. But the ones on the Boardwalk are all just outside the hotel, basically the outside of the lower level of the hotel. Not at all inconvenient (except when its pouring :) )

If you want a coffee you need to go out to the boardwalk bakery, or on the 1st floor you pass the front desk to their lounge they have muffins and bagels . Nothing like most resorts that have fast food restaurants .
