Be Our Guest...dinner or lunch?

We are going the last week in January and I have already booked all my ADRs....then.....I found out about this restaurant!:crazy2:

So I quickly made a dinner reservation, surprised I even got one....but now I have to decide if I want to sacrifice another ADR or give up this one and just go there for lunch. We are on the meal plan.

From what I have been able to gather there are no characters....my question is, can we sit in any section of this place during lunch? It seems as if we can from what I have read but I am not 100%...the food is irrelevant, I just want my daughter to be able to walk around. If there were characters at dinner then we would do that, but there aren't.

So can anyone confirm that I am reading this correctly and we can sit in any room (ballroom/west wing/rose gallery) for lunch?

thanks in advance!

ohhh i'm also interested in this. i've been trying like a mad person to get a reservation but if we can see the restaurant at lunch, then it would be so much easier to do that

Lunch is counter service/quick service and dinner is table service. When I made dinner ressie's for February, they indicated that if you have seating requests for dinner you should come early and make requests when you arrive. I have been wondering the same thing because I would really like to see the ballroom along with the other rooms. They do say that lunch service will be different than any other quick service and your food will be brought to your table, after your order, on china plates. It might be easier to sit where you want at lunch, especially if you hit it earlier in the day or for a later lunch when it is less crowded. Good luck! princess:

From what I understand, there is only a certain area open for lunch, and you can not walk around in the other areas.

1) Correct
. . . one section for lunch
. . . two different sections for dinner
2) For dinner, you can request a room at the podium.
3) However, you cannot walk around to view other rooms at any time.

Will the rooms rotate for lunch or always stay the same? I'm guessing stay the same?

I'm also very interested in this. If they have all the rooms open during lunch that would be great. If they only have one room open, which one will it be? DW really wants to eat in the ballroom but all ADRs for our possible Dec. trip are booked so lunch is the only option.

We just ate there this week for dinner and lunch. For dinner all 3 rooms were available. We ate in the ballroom which was beautiful. They told us when we were done dining, to go to the other 2 side rooms for a surprise. We had our picture taken with the Beast and then got to see the rose. Food was good, not great. However we loved just looking around. For lunch, we ate in the West Wing. Very dark. I will say we actually enjoyed our lunch much more than our dinner. Service was OK for dinner and very good for lunch. Dinner waiter kept forgetting things and never refilled any glasses even after asking. We wouldn't go back for dinner but will for lunch. However if I had a child that loved the Beast, we'd go back for dinner. I will give one negative that to me was a pretty big deal. If you are sitting in the West Wing near the rose, you will be bothered with people coming in to take pictures. They will be standing right at your table. I can't believe they couldn't come up with a different set up for that.

We ate lunch and dinner there this week. For lunch they had all three rooms open to choose from. Because we did lunch first and saw all the rooms, I requested the ballroom for dinner and we were sat right by the window to watch the "snow".

The kids meals were crummy at lunch. For dinner my two girls and I shared two different entrees and really enjoyed it. The ambiance is more enjoyable for dinner. However I agree with the waitstaff being rushed and forgetful. Our waiter was nice but when we asked about the "grey stuff" he laughed and said he would be back. Never brought anything but put a note on the receipt for a birthday surprise. It was strange but not a charge for it so no biggie. My girls were just disappointed to not try it.

All in all, we will go back for dinner. Oh the strawberry cupcake is delicious but we didn't care for any of the cream puff desserts.

We ate there for lunch twice last week and both times we had the option of sitting in any of the 3 rooms. We sat in the ballroom both times but did visit the other 2 rooms and took pictures. It is a beautiful place and the food and service were great both times. It opened for lunch at 1030am and the first day we lined up at around 1025 and it took about 25 minutes to get in the door and order. The next time we lined up at around 1010am and were in the door and ordering around 1040am. Both times the food was out to us about 5 to 10 minutes after we selected our table. Loved the experience! :thumbsup2

We had lunch there on Monday. They had all of the dining areas open. We waited a while to get inside (25 min?). The food was good for QS, and I think it's definitely the best QS option at Magic Kingdom.

Had lunch there a little over a month ago and all 3 rooms were open and we were invited to walk around while we waited to be served. Which we did. The place is amazing! We filled our drinks from the fountain area in the Rose room. And chose a table by the windows in the main ballroom. We had dinner there a couple weeks ago and just the West Wing and the main ballroom were open. We enjoyed both meals!! At dinner Beast stormed thru twice and we could have got a pic with him after we ate. We will be back for dinner Feb. 25. And I am sure we will try to have lunch there again!

We went for lunch last week and I may be odd but we did not enjoy the food at all, it was worth it to visit the castle but ickk... The fries were soggy and the sanwhiches were just all crust. The inside was amazing though.

I was unable to get dinner reservations for our trip at the end of January, so I'm hoping to do lunch there....sounds great!

Cannot wait

We are picky eaters, so we are going for lunch, midweek, offseason....the dinner menu sounds disgusting to us...lol.....hope we can sit in the ballroom!!

We are very picky too. 2 of us had steak w/o the butter sauce and fries. Can't get much more simple than that. It was good. :)

We ate there last week for dinner and thought it was the best meal of the trip. Service, food and atmosphere were all great! I had the salmon, DD had the shrimp/scallops, and DM had the steak. All delicious.

The "grey stuff" was brought out for DD's bday. We loved everything about the place. It's really breathtaking.

We went for lunch and dinner the 2nd week of Dec.
At lunch all 3 rooms were open. I assume because of the popularity of the restaurant.
Food and service were good not wonderful but good. Just the line getting in there was long.

For dinner 2 rooms were open, the west wing and ballroom.
Food was good (seasoned fries was CRAZY salty tho, I had to send it in and get an unseasoned one), we had the salmon, hen and kids pasta.
All were good.
Service was kinda slow but understandable with the level of crowd they were having.
We requested the West wing for dinner at the podium and they were able to accommodate us.
