Full Disclosure.. I havent read one reply here so if this has been asked, go ahead and shame me :) :lmao::rotfl2:

Anywho.. Kindani village. On the maps I see walkways a number of places along the resort. Do these coincide with elevators inside? I guess I ALWAYS used the main elevators, so have no clue what other means of getting in and out of our room area there are. Or do those doors / walkways / whatever just for exiting the ground level?

There are banks of elevators ALL over the resort, that go from the parking garage to the top floor.

There are paths leading from the lobby to pretty much everywhere (and good signage, too, to lead you). Those paths MAY not be the quickest way to get to your destination, depending on where your room is. Sometimes, it's easier to walk the hallway to an elevator, take it down to the garage, and then walk to your destination...rather than walk to the lobby and, essentially, retrace your steps outside.

....SHEESH! Sending me over to the DVC Board was like sending the lamb to the LIONS!! :rolleyes2:worried::(

They can be a somewhat rough bunch....especially on certain subjects (like many of them think everyone should know everything about the product, the popular times of year, etc before asking a question).

I finally called and added one night to the beginning of my trip in Feb!:thumbsup2
Now I have 2 nights in a Savanna view stuio and 6 nights in AKLV CL:cool1:
Would be nice if the waitlist for the 1st 2 nights came through so I wouldn't have to movepixiedust:

Speaking of which,I am 158 out from check-in to CL, shouldn't I have heard something by now?:confused3

I'm so forgetful I don't remember when I heard from them last yr when I stayed CL in oct.

Trying to catch up - just saw this!! :) Life would have been much easier had I flown. They didn't give me a choice this time - told me I was driving (the nerve!) :furious:

I have had a lovely evening (OK, b*tch-fest ) with my colleagues and they have convinced me to start speaking up. Next time I am told I'm driving, if I don't want to, I am going to tell them as much! :thumbsup2

Hopefully, I will sleep well tonight - just from sheer exhaustion!!! :rotfl2:

Glad you got there safely :) that's a good idea, it cant hurt to say something.

Wendy, I hope you didn't do all of DS's school project. :)

Jen, I'm sure they'll email you soon. Congrats on adding another night!

Jen - So glad you decided to add another night to your trip. It will be here before you know it!

Good Morning Jamborinis and Kidanites!

I'm getting better each day. I'm still limited to my activities--basically walking. I look and feel like I'm eight months pregnant. :lmao:

Good Morining Everyone!

It has been a very busy couple of weeks. I am sorry I have not been here much at all. Our friend in San Diego passed so we were there to help and attend the services. It is so sad that he was young but he is out of pain now and in a much better place. His wife has a sister and brother in law who have come to stay with her for a couple months to help her sort things out. Our friends have a guest house on their property so the living arrangements should be perfect for this. We are thankful he passed before we left and not while we were gone as he and his wife had made us promise to go on vacation and stay on vacation no matter what happend. Which we would not have been able to to. Feeling so many emotions this morning.

Today is pay bills, pack the last minutes items and carry on. We fly out tomorrow morning. I will have my i Pad, hope to update you all during out trip or at least check in.

Kathy (JohnsMom) So good to see you post here, not sure if you have been on the DIS since your surgery as I have some catching up to do. Rest, only do what your body tells you to do. You are in my prayers and thoughts.

Laura - So sorry about the company making your drive and basically do a complete turn around. I certainly would speak up to them too. Say safe, I hope you get some good nights of sleep.

Alison - I hope you got my PM the other day. Let me know as it was the day the DIS was wiggin out off and on. Or maybe it was me. :rotfl:

Wendy- Hope you and your family are all cleaned up from the storms. And that there are no more for a long, long time.

Sending a big :grouphug: for everyone. I will try and come by later today if time permits. Got to get running here.:)

Ann

Since you guys were helpful last time, I have another question for you. :) I currently have a pool view room booked but keep going back and forth about upgrading to savannah view. What is basically holding me back (besides the money!), is the time of year we are going. We will be there the very end of Jan/Beg of Feb. I have never stayed deluxe and hesitate some since we don't spend a lot of time in the room. However, with the 40% off military discount, I really want to try it. Anyways, we will probably always do rope drop and tour through about dinner. So, we should be able to enjoy the lodge most days from about 6pm on or so. My hesitation is that it will be dark about that time. So, we will spend a few hours each day enjoying the lodge, but it will be at dark. Have any of you stayed SV during this time of year? Can you see anything in the dark?? Are the animals very active if it is cold at night? Just wondering if I should stick with the pool view during this time of year. Thanks for all your insights!!!

Good morning everybody :)

Elin, feeling any better?

Hi, Pam. :wave2:
Not really feeling up to snuff yet. :( But I will!! ::yes::

At this point in our lives I would rather look 8 months pregnant that be 8 months pregnant...

Take care, Kathy!

If you truly don't think you will be in the room until dark I would not spend the extra money on a savanna view room. It will be dark and it is difficult to see the animals. However, you can stop off and use the night-vision goggles on your way back to your room from the park!
