As the days get cooler I can't help but think of our next big family vacation. We're booked Mar 5-15. Had to move dates around to get better flights. Trying to decide if we want to try to tackle Disney MK (should be insane with new Fantasyland open). But really want to see it. Adding Discovery Cove to the agenda this year as it gets rave reviews on Trip Advisor and I can use Aeroplan points to buy passes.

Let's hear some other March Breakers plans!

I just rebooked my DVC points for Mar 10-15 from New Years week. I'm really looking forward to this. Will be staying in 1 Bedroom at Bay Lake Towers Lake view! We stayed there for one night last March before we flew out of MCO and we loved it! I'm looking forward to it again this year, but now for a longer stay.

We are going to Harry Potter too. My son has suddenly become a big fan!

We did Harry Potter last year. Holy busy. Run there first thing and get on Forbidden Journey. Even non-riders should walk the queue as it is pretty neat in the castle. There's a wait area right at the ride boarding for non-riders. Once we got out, there were line ups even for the stores! Rest of the park was busy too. We waited 40 minutes for the Dr Seus train! This was during March Break.

Bay Lake looks amazing! Have fun!

We are going Mar 9 to 15, Cruise on the Dream. Could be our last trip with our DD who is in Gr 12 and planning to go off to University.

I've got a March Break trip planned and to be honest I'm more excited about it than the one coming up in Jan.(Lots of family)

I am going solo in March and doing a split stay at OKW and ALV. (DVC).March 10-16
It's my week of just me! me! me!
Shopping,, eat what I want,,sleep when I want,,did I say shopping,,flower and garden festival--ah flowers in March!
ahhhh what a week it will be!:yay::yay::cool1:
:beach::beach::beach::beach:
Hugs Mel

We're doing Hollywood, Universal Studios Hollywood, Disneyland, California Adventure and Seaworld for March break. I'm super excited. We've never been to California before. We're going to check out the 24 hour Sprinkles cupcake ATM.

Bababear_50 that sounds amazing. I am also the type that would love a solo visit - but alas my DDs would never allow it while they still live in this house. I'm putting it on my bucket list for my 50th! I've been solo on business for a few nights and though I missed the kids, it was sure nice to be on my own schedule! You'll have to tell us how it is..........

March break will be the first trip to WDW for DH and our boys. I've only been once, so we should have a good time!
Since we usually travel, over Christmas, we may sneak a cheap last minute trip in before March...have to see what we can find ;)

We are going Mar 9 to 15, Cruise on the Dream. Could be our last trip with our DD who is in Gr 12 and planning to go off to University.

This is our situation too! Our oldest DD is in grade 12 and will be off to University after this year..this will be our last "family" March Break vacation. We too are cruising then going to Orlando for 9 days..March 9-25. I'm very excited..yet sad at the same time

We will be at Hilton Head for March break, DW and I, after spending Xmas with the kids at WDW.

I know it can get cold in March, but I'm sure it will be warmer than in Montreal :)

Still need to buy plane tickets. I am looking at two options: I can pay 440$ to fly to HHH, or 260$ to fly to Charlotte, then drive 4 hours to Hilton Head, so we'd be loosing one day of vacation. The price difference would pay for the car rental and gas however. Not sure what do do.

Airfare booked. Feb 24th to March 14th , 2 adults 2 kids.

Nothing has been booked for rooms, but here's the plan. *assumes free dining opens up for the first weekend in March.

MCO airport hotel for Feb 24th (9pm arrival time)
Rent DVC point for Feb 25th to March 3rd -AKL
Free dining QSP at POP for March 3rd to the 14th.

Note: Since Free Dining has not been offered yet, I am keeping my options open. I am considering (a) Bonnet Creek (b) cruises (c) Universal/Seaworld as potential opportunities since we have 18 days to piece together. This may go exactly as I laid out above, or it could be totally bass end ackwards :)

We are flying down again for March Break, leaving March 2nd from Buffalo on JB and home with sw on March 15th. We are staying at Westgate Town Center, first time. Hopefully it is as nice as it looks in the picture. I will have to pull up my big girl panties to beat down the timeshare hounds, as I understand it, but I am up for the challenge. I think I am the only daycare provider that takes half my daycare kiddies with me to Florida for vacation. We live beside the public school here, and I have a lot of teachers as clientele. So my poor oldest dd doesn't know what to think,(she is 12 now) but her JK teacher, her SK teacher, her grade 6 teacher, and her VP are all coming to meet us and stay at Westgate for the 2nd week with us. We are friendly with all of them, as I watch all of their kids, or had at one time. They all have their own units, but still. They are a great bunch of families, and my kids are friends with alot of their kids as well. So fingers crossed we have a good time!

Hi Ted. Nice to see you've booked to be there while we're there - though I like your dates better! I'm going to be in Halifax. Will pm you if you want to swing by and say hi.

So yesterday I made Be Our Guest reservations. I couldn't get lunch on March 6th but got dinner. So then I looked at the menu and there was NOTHING I saw worth the money. Have a look and tell me what you think. Even the kids menu isn't great - pretty fancy. I'm going to cancel. I guest we're just fussy but we don't like super fancy - especially at a theme park. We'll stick with Tonys.

Was hoping Dwarfs Mine Ride would be open but not until 2014. Mermaid will be open anyways.

we fly down on the 7th March , 2 nights at the poly then our fantasy cruise! fly back home on the 16th and hopefully we come back into mild weather!:scared:

We are also getting excited. Flights are booked out of Manchester, NH on Southwest (Yay! for direct flights and no luggage fees). Am I ever glad I booked when I did, as the total for 6 of us has gone up over $1000 since then.

We fly down March 2nd for a split stay on DVC points. Three nights in a 2-bedroom savanna view at Animal Kingdom Villas: Kidani, followed by four nights in a 2-bedroom theme park view at our home resort, Bay Lake Tower. We are taking my sister and her 13-year-old son with us, but she can only stay 5 nights because she has to work. (Nephew is staying the whole week).

Plans are Animal Kingdom park, Universal/Harry Potter, EPCOT and MK while she is there, DHS and a water park after she goes home. We have some ADR's made but park tickets not purchased yet. Planning on skipping park-hoppers to save money, which just means better planning.

Can I join in if it's not Disney this time?

We're used to going in November or early December, and though it was a tough choice... I didn't think we would cope well with the crowds in March.

So we've decided on a guest ranch vacation in the American Southwest, near Tucson!
Very excited.

But we'll be back to our true love next December.

Sounds good! Ironically, I'm in Ottawa next week

We've been booked for months. No wiggle room on dates for us - DW is a teacher, so we have to go with the wave. This year's trip starts on Friday 8th right after school's out. We depart Ottawa on WJ at 6:00. Originally booked a direct flight, but that has since been canceled, and we are now routed through Toronto. Arrive MCO at 11:13.

Our rental right now is for a full-size Crossover SUV with Alamo, $700 all in for 9 days, but still looking to improve that closer to the date.

We've booked nine nights at Sheraton Vistana Resort. We had to exchange our owner week for another week as March break has shifted a bit this year. That gets us the first 7 nights, with 2 extra nights reserved directly with Sheraton. We have another unit week reserved for DSIL and our two Nephews, but they are now wavering - we may get stuck with with an extra 2BR for the week.

We have 8 days left on our NE MYW WPFAM passes. We'll probably knock off 2 majors, a water park, and DQ. There is at least one visit to USF/IOA, maybe two, plus our usual trip to Gulf Coast for the day, a lots of shopping. That pretty much fills the days (is there any time for chillin' by the pool still?)

Flight back is direct (unless WJ changes that too) on Sunday afternoon, getting us back to Ottawa just before 5:00 so we can deliver 2 very tired students and one teacher to school on Monday.

This trip just keeps getting bigger and bigger each year! Excitement is already setting in.

BTW - did anyone else notice that the new Unofficial Guide hit the bookstores recently. Time to pick up the latest version of the bible.

Have fun everybody!

We head out on March 4th from BUF on JB until March 12th. For those Blue Jays fans who would like to take in at least 1 spring training game around that time, the Braves' schedule has already been announced and the Blue Jays will be playing at ESPN WWOS on March 8th! I like not having to drive two hours to catch a spring training game!
