Resort window decorations for Halloween

We will be at WDW during Halloween and would like to decorate our resort window.

I know you are not allowed to use tape on the windows but are there any other restrictions? Are you allowed to hand lights and leave them on?

Thanks so much!

Not at DVC resorts. No decorations can be seen from the outside.

DVC notice:
Resort leaders offer holiday-decorating reminder
As Disney Parks and Resorts reflect the spirit of the season with a winter wonderland of holiday decorations, many Disney Vacation Club® Members are decorating their villas in similarly festive fashion.

While Disney Vacation Club welcomes the use of safe decorations that don't damage the finishes of the villa, resort leaders are reminding Members that all decorations should be contained within the villa interiors and therefore shouldn't extend to the balcony or other exterior areas.

This policy, included in Members' condominium documents, is designed to help preserve the carefully crafted architectural stories and visual themes for which Disney Parks and Resorts are famous."

As for DVC....I have on both my 2 trips this spring and summer and coming up in 25 days for Halloween and then Christmas I plan on putting string lights on my glass door with suction cups. No tape or adhesives that can damage in any way. There are threads about decorating ideas and what not. People used to put trees and those blow up decos on their balconies. No more of that allowed and I can see why. We always decorate with lights coordinated with the season or holiday and keep it inside but you can see if you have a visible door. We put up a small tree in front of our glass door for christmas. No problems. I did see people at Key West last Christmas go to town outside on balcony but that was posted as a "No No Reminder" ~~~Inside...no problem to visibility....it helps you notice your room. Got to Love the Mouse House!!

Have fun...look for ideas and go to town. You only live once so enjoy and make the memories.

We went Christmas 2010 and decorated the heck out of our room at the POLY.
Lights on the windows, we could see our room from the monorail (Aotearoa) .
We had garland and lights strung up in the rooms, cling decals on the windows, and a small wreath on the door knob. Even a small fake tree,
No one said a thing.

Really? How about the interior doors? I was thinking of decorating ours with magnets at BCV.

No, that would be from the outside of the villa. So no door decorations in the corridors. You could put them on the inside of your door, but not the outside.
