"The Wait" for the final notice

Hey everyone! I just took my phone interview this morning. Generally how long does it take for a notification for an acceptance or unacceptence? Last year I applied, it took almost a full month to notify that I didn't get in. Anyone know how soon to long?

Unfortunately it can vary greatly. For one CP, I found out in 11 days and for another it took me 6.5 weeks (the other 3 took about 3.5-4 weeks).

Okay, thank you so much!

I had my interview last Sunday. My interviewer told me verbally on the phone that it should take 3 weeks. I got an email after the phone interview though telling me I should hear back within 2 weeks.

For my first college program it took about 3.5 weeks to hear back.

did anyone recieve a notice saying pending final decision, You will recieve notice anytime from now until december 14th???? I thought it was going to be 2-4 weeks at the max??:confused3

It's 2-4 weeks for most people. However, if you receive a pending e-mail, it's like a wait-list. Some people that are pended do get accepted, so don't lose hope! It just means they need more time to look over your application and see if they have a role for you.

It also depends on if people who have been accepted for whatever reason decide not to go (it does happen) then their spot can be filled by a pender/person on the waitlist. So, it takes a little longer because they need to see how many people that have been accepted are for sure going and if they will have room for you.

Are there specific reasons they move you onto a wait list? Like I have done a cp before, do they give preference to college students who have never done a cp?

Not always. I know both alumni and first-timers who have been pended

I just got the acceptance letter this past Monday!! I think that this is the soonest I've heard of them sending it out. Qsfb 2013, anybody else get their letter yet? If not, just keep your head up, good luck!!

AHHH That was like the last thing I wanted to do.. But if I get it, I'll take it.

It's really not bad, personally I loved my QSFB role.

Last year my dd and a family friend both interviewed the second week of September and did not hear until December 16. The long wait was hugely stressful.

This year, my dd interviewed Tuesday night and heard back Thursday morning. Much better.

Anybody get put on carts in qsfb? I'm used to working in a food stand at a theme park by where I live. I'm prepared for any role, so I think that I'll be happy with whatever I'm given!
