Emmysdaddy Accompanies the Damsels & Yes, He Posed with Princesses 2/2 Completed

I'm so jealous you got to meet Jane. We looked for her when we went to DL outside Tarzans Treehouse butwe couldn't find her.

I hope she's still there in a couple of weeks.:thumbsup2

A Tarzan show at AK? And they don't have it any longer? Darn! That reminds me of a parade they had at D-land that had Tarzan riding an "elephant" and he was very nice to look at. :lovestruc

Yep, the Tarzan show was the musical which was replaced by the Finding Nemo show. I seem to remember that it had a bunch of monkeys on rollerskates. Or was that just a weird dream that I had??? :lmao:

Oh, and I too noticed your shirt change, but figured you'd had some "spillage" during breakfast and had ran back to the BWV for a quick change of clothes. Glad to hear there was no "spillage" involved. ;)

Brenda, I'm trying to hit up a couple of threads before I hit the sack to get up at 3:45 for our 4:30 ride to the airport.

I love the photopass picture, and the photos as you walked to breakfast are beautiful.

With the breakfast and starting off with Spaceship Earth, seems the day is off to a good start.

A Bloody Caesar is a little different from a Bloody Mary as it's made with clamato juice instead of plain tomato juice. Otherwise it's usually served the same way, with tabasco, Worcestershire, horseradish and garnished with celery and/or pickled carrots and a wedge of lemon or lime. The glass usually has a salt and pepper or celery salt rim. I love them, the spicier the better! :lovestruc

This drink is divine if made w/ all the ingredients you listed.:lovestruc My DH & I had them in Toronto & they were delish!! We are huge fans of Bloody Mary & the Caesar can taste a touch better b/c of the horseradish. No matter what version, it has to be made right.:thumbsup2

I LOVE the Tarzan show and am still disappointed that it has gone. The music from that film is really good.

How cool to see Jane. I've never come across a picture of her in a TR before.

I remember your morning photos from your last trip of the Boardwalk. (Isn't that where your DH bought his Donald hoodie??) I loved your photos and I hoped that I would have the same lovely peaceful feeling there. I did! :goodvibes

Yes! The Screen Door is where he found that hoodie, remarkably on sale! :thumbsup2

Sunday August 19, 2012 - Day 2, Part 2

Next on the list of things to do….Let’s have some Beverly at Club Cool! It is such a refreshing aperitif! NOT! However, Michael didn’t know that. Before I launch into my evil plan allow me to illustrate how truly devious I can be. Two years ago when Em and I had our first girl trip to WDW, I had read about the infamous Beverly. I tried to get Em to drink it but she’s perceptive and knew something was amiss because;
1. She doesn’t drink soda AT ALL.
2. I had a video camera trained on her saying “taste it!”
3. Complete strangers came up to us and encouraged her to try the Beverly which they said tasted like monkeys and rainbows.

Here's a photo of Em's Beverly taste trial in 2010!

And then there's this video of my attempt to get her to drink some of this vile stuff Beverly. (I know you are thinking what a horrid mother!)

So with that, I thought Michael needed the “Beverly treatment.” He was so trusting, I handed him a cup of this bitter soda and he tried it. His reaction wasn’t that dramatic but he certainly didn’t ask for seconds. (Unfortunately we didn’t capture this on video.) He said, “You planned this (getting him to try the awful stuff) from the time we came in the door!” Wrong! I actually planned this since I knew he would be coming with us to WDW!

Completely independent of any mischief that I may have planned, Michael tried another ick soda which you can see captured here. That one may have been Vegita Beta.

Next stop was Innoventions (west pavilion) where Em wanted to do The Great Piggy Bank Adventure. We did this last time and it was a lot of fun although I was no help getting her to reach her financial goal. In fact, I was the reason that my poor child was unable to have her bedroom make-over! (Anyone not familiar with this attraction that is sponsored by T Row Price; you select one of 4 financial goals [vacation, retirement, bedroom makeover, & one other option?] and then you have a series of 3 or 4 activities for which you build your wealth while preserving your investment from being stolen by a Swiper type fox character. This time she had Michael to help and since he’s great at these types of games they succeeded as a team and Em earned her imaginary room make-over.

Moving on… we decided to go to The Seas and see Nemo & Friends. It is a cross between the Nemo ride at Disneyland and the Little Mermaid ride at California Adventure – another words really cool!

After exiting the ride we spent some time in the aquarium watching the fish, dolphins, manatees, and whatever else was swimming around in there.

Before leaving The Seas we took a photo with Bruce the shark. However, Michael gave an entirely different perspective to this prop for which people happily pose inside the shark’s mouth. He said I should pose like I had been eaten by the shark which means that my legs would be sticking out. It was funny in theory but the photo didn’t turn out so well since you can’t really see my leg – just the bottom of my shoe.

It was after 1pm and we had a 2pm ADR at Tokyo Dining so we decided to head to WS. We took the boat to Morocco which is a short walk to Japan. We had plenty of time to walk to Japan but we still checked in early for our lunch ADR.

Here’s the link to my Tokyo Dining lunch review.

When we left Tokyo Dining it was starting to rain. We hovered under a little overhang that Michael declared his personal rain shelter. It did look like it was built specifically for him.

We were ready for a break from the rain and the subsequent heat/humidity so we walked back to Boardwalk resort.

A few last photos before we exit the park:

Before we went back to our room we first stopped at the Screen Door General Store to pick up some waters. (Again, using our APs at most resort and theme park stores gave us a 20% discount.)

Next Up: Our first Dis Meet(s)

The way to tell Chip and Dale apart is that Chip has a semi sweet chocolate chip coloured nose! :)
Aha! That's good to know.

I'm so jealous you got to meet Jane. We looked for her when we went to DL outside Tarzans Treehouse butwe couldn't find her.

Sounds like we were lucky or at the right place at the right time!

Ha! Monkeys on rollerskates - that's wild! I couldn't find my Tarzan photo that I wanted to share.. thought I took about a dozen of him since he was so "authentic". :lmao:

Ummm yeahhhh... sometimes I just want to wear something "looser" after eating a big meal but I certainly didn't want to point that out here! :rotfl2: Thus outfit #2.

Brenda, I'm trying to hit up a couple of threads before I hit the sack to get up at 3:45 for our 4:30 ride to the airport.

Hi Kathy! I saw on FB that you made it to WDW and are already having fun with the merchandise at the store.

Hi Happy! I do like spice.. just not sure I'm a fan of clamato juice. :confused3

Oh my goshhh! I love ur villa @ the Boardwalk, it has so much character!!:goodvibes

Thanks! Boardwalk sure is lovely!

I LOVE the Tarzan show and am still disappointed that it has gone. The music from that film is really good.

How cool to see Jane. I've never come across a picture of her in a TR before.

Now that I know there was a Tarzan show I really wish it were back as well. Hmmm.... not sure Michael would share my joy but he would be outvoted 2 gals to 1 dude to see a show like that!

Yes! The Screen Door is where he found that hoodie, remarkably on sale! :thumbsup2

:) Funny thing but before we stayed at BW I wondered what the heck was the Screen Door store... didn't know that it was their "general store" until we walked in there that day.

LOL the old Beverly trick. I am such a weirdo because I don't mind it, but I would not go our of my way for it. I am going to have my friend try it when we go hahaha!

I too have never seen a photo with Jane before! She looks adorable.

Michael looks like he is being such a good sport! He managed to pose with a non-princess and was subjected to the Beverly trick and survived. Granted it's only the first day :lmao:.

Ha-Ha on the Soda's!! I think hubby and I tried them all before but I didn't get any photos of our reactions.

I love your second to last photo. Where was that taken?

If you like a spicy Bloody, you should check this out(this is non-alcoholic, just add vodka):

We were there the same day you were in Epcot -after sampling several Margarita's my DW put on a brilliant performance with the Ziti Sisters, by the way. This stuff was pure heaven -the bartender( who apparently had too much tequila the night before) let us have a sample as he was making one for himself as a remedy. I'm with you on the clamato -I like seafood, but I'm not understanding it as a breakfast drink(?).

Loving the report!

I have to be completely honest in that *I* have never had Beverly...never even knew about it before Dis.

I already had plans (which DH is in on :rotfl2:) to get my older kids to try Beverly. I plan to video it, but then, being a good mom, I will try it myself...after them of course! (Really, I will :thumbsup2)

So, you say it tastes bitter, huh? It may not bother DH & I then b/c we drink 100% Noni juice which is INCREADIBLY bitter. So now I am curious to try.

Taking pics with Bruce is always fun :)

Have you ever had a Campari (red Italian aperitif), it's usually served with soda water or just on the rocks? It's the type of drink that as you sip, it becomes more palatable -Italians sometimes will drink it with salty snacks that tend to complement it. The Beverly is similar but slightly stronger in my opinion -I actually think its not too bad, but it definitely an acquired taste.

We skipped the cola tasting before, but I have been to the Coca-Cola place in Atlanta (where I'm originally from!) and ewwwwwww… there are SEVERAL types of soda that is just GROSS! Although, when I was in Germany, I LOVE their Coke! It tastes better than our Coke, I think! :thumbsup2

I have never had a Campari. I just asked DH if he had since he is Italian and thought he might have remembered it at his grandparents house or something...no such luck.

Just made my way over from the dining review boards to get caught up! I loved reading the Beverly part (and I still think it's hilarious that you got an assist from random strangers - "monkeys and rainbows", wow ). And your pictures from the Epcot resort area and The Seas are beautiful.

Can't wait for the next update! ;)

It looks like you had a nice, mellow time in EPCOT. I love the pictures with Bruce the shark. The only ones I have are blurry- camera did not know where to focus- and we don't get to the Seas with Nemo often :(

That's cool that Michael and Em successfully funded her bedroom makeover at the Piggy Bank game.

Speaking of cool...

:woohoo: on having a new victim for Beverly!!!

Your lunch at Tokyo Dining sounds lovely and the pictures of your meals were excellent!!! I don't hear much about this place, but the reviews I have read are always very positive.

I've never been to Tokyo Dining, but now I want to! Your lunch looks great!

:rotfl: at Michael's personal rain shelter! Very convenient! :thumbsup2
