Just got back. They were doing a new Boardwalk advertising film while we were there. Fun to watch and an lot of production people milling around including an adorable dog they were using for one of their scenes!

A dog in the villas? :sad2:

But, still, at the villas? Animals aren't permitted at the villas unless they are assistance animals.

Oh dear lord ... really? They were filming a COMMERCIAL. How anal can one get? End of thread. Good grief.

Maybe so. But some people will see a dog at the villas and think they can bring their dog next time.

I think Deb has a good point, why would you use something in a commercial that is not allowed. :confused3

It simply opens up the door for abuses or confusion.

I forget the day, but they were also filming at BCV during our stay. We returned on Thursday.

Hi Murron!! I was there as well and agree that these boards just over analyze everything to death which is why I hesitate to contribute anymore.

The commercial production appeared to have a Charlie Chaplin type of guy with a silly little dog. A comedic type scene was being filmed. That being said, anyone who sees this and leaps to the conclusion that dogs are allowed in villas is just extremely sad. The majority of hotels and timeshares in the U.S. do not allow dogs and again if one leaps to that conclusion based on a funny little Chaplin type guy in a commercial then we have a bigger problem in catering to the lowest common denominator of intelligence. Maybe we should also remove Pluto and Goofy from the gift shops also.:rotfl2:

Thanks Mrs. D. I probably should have detailed the fact that it appeared to be a comedy scene. If you're not specific here, they all jump on it.:crazy2:

There's an obvious divide here of people who have indeed seen posts or heard IRL complaints stemming from "but the commercials showed xyz", and those who haven't.

I fall on the "I've seen 'em" side, and think that unless that dog was an obvious service animal, it shouldn't be in the ad. No matter how cute.
