I still think it is so cool that you guys hung out together at Magic Kingdom and had dinner together

However, I am practically crying now because I am at work and can't see any of the photos so I have to wait till I get home

Ok bacon cheeseburger and chili fries... I guess Cosmic Rays is on the list of acceptable CS now. Lol. Sounds like the place is right up DH's alley. But I'm still going to force him to eat at CHH with me too. Now I'm so excited for our free QSDP in December.

It was so very nice to meet him AND to ride Splash Mtn AND to watch the fireworks together AND to have a meal together.

If Mr. DDW endorses Cosmic Rays, it must be ok. Hooray for FD in December!!!

What a great picture! Considering how very photogenic DDW is, its a surprise he has been in hiding so long.

Still so hard to believe someone so young has such an incredibly mature palate and ability to communicate. DDW, your mom must be so proud to have a son like you!

He is pretty adorable! NO ONE on here 6 months ago knew this young man was not even old enough to have a cocktail!!! And to write such articulate and well thought out dining reviews!!

I completely agree. It's almost impossible to remember his age when reading his reviews, which always made me picture a sort of Geoffrey Zakarian figure. He really is just a normal, friendly, handsome young man! And I'll stop now before I start virtually pinching his cheeks like a deranged aunt. I still hope that someday my taste-buds grow to be as diverse as his!

I kind of never want Brenda's report to end, at this point. Can we start a fund to just keep her at Disney year-round and serve as the review board liason?

I just have to say how great you guys look after being "SPLASHED" and "DRENCHED". It takes some very attractive people to pull off the "drowned cat" look. Again I must award bonus points, both for allowing a picture to be taken of you while you were soaking wet and also for riding on Splash Mountain during your DISmeet with DDW. How cool is that...Brenda you are my hero!!!

Ugh! I so didn't want to post that soggy photo of me but heck, it was a good one of Betsy and DDW so I suppose I must put aside vanity for a minute! Glad you got the sneak peek photos.

I loved this review! Who knew that everyone would love a burger & chili cheese fries review so much?! It sounds like an amazing, fun evening. I'm so glad that you were able to meet DDW, (he's like a star now and everyone knows him instantly when you say DDW!) and make a night of it. I also love the photos.

I forgot to ask earlier about the rice at the Japan TS restaurants. I originally had an ADR to Tepan Edo because my family likes both hibachi and sushi. But then I read on someone's review that they don't do fried rice so I cancelled it. My kids like the fried rice best. Did I read correctly?

Hi basketlacey. I don't recall seeing fried rice on the menu or being served. You could always ask. Or maybe they serve it in China??

Awww...no reason to be shy or worry about an accent (which I'm certain is charming and lovely) . It would be awesome for others to meet you. I would say hi and even give hugs if I saw you. This was the only morning the entire trip that we didn’t have a breakfast ADR – which was actually very nice since it allowed Michael and Em an opportunity to sleep in while I explored the Boardwalk and picked up some breakfast from the Boardwalk Bakery. This would also mark off #13 from my List of 18 from Jabead: 13) Get breakfast from the Boardwalk Bakery at least once.

Boardwalk in the morning:

I had read about lines out the door for the bakery in the mornings but when I dropped in it wasn’t too bad. The bakery is really quite small so a line forms rather quickly. Breakfast is served from 6:30am to 11am. They offer two breakfast croissant sandwiches (ham, egg, & cheese and egg & cheese), a yogurt parfait, cold cereal selections, and fresh baked bakery items. There are refrigerated cases with all manner of cold beverages and then several coffee options.

Menu Board:

Standing in line I was running through the options on the menu board and trying to catch a glimpse of what was offered on the bakery racks behind the counter. Since I was winging it without their input I just decided to get a variety of items and let everyone fight over the selections in the room. It may have been a mistake to not have a plan since I kept adding “one more thing” to my order! Everything looked really good – especially the cupcakes. In the end, I carried 2 bags back to the room.

Here’s my choices:

Beverage choices:

I was in the mood for something hot and cheesy so I ordered the egg & cheese croissant. Since Michael was trying to eat relatively healthy, I got him a yogurt parfait. For Em I got her a cranberry muffin. That is what I thought they wanted. In reality, here’s what happened… Michael was craving protein so he took the egg & cheese croissant. I started eating my back up choice – the bagel with cream cheese. Michael finished his breakfast sandwich and instead of moving on to the yogurt parfait, he set his sights on my bagel! Ok, so I had ½ a bagel. No one wanted the yogurt parfait!! Em loved her muffin. The croissant got eaten at some later time.

Strawberry Cupcake:

Saving this little beauty for last…… I HAD to try a Boardwalk Bakery cupcake. I selected the strawberry cupcake. This actually sat for 2 days before I got around to eating it and by then the bottom was a little soggy but that’s my fault for not diving in immediately. It had a creamy strawberry mousse type filling that was light and flavorful. Also, just to note that for my taste, there was way too much frosting on this thing. However, I do love sprinkles on my cupcakes so even though I scraped most of the icing off the cupcake I ended up eating most of it since I wanted the sprinkles. Stupid huh?

Great job with the pics of all the BW Bakery goodies, Brenda! The pictures reminded me of all the delicious-looking desserts there that I haven't yet tried, but really want to...like their famous cheesecake brownies. I would love to have one of those right about now.

Yes! I also had that strawberry cupcake on my trip (although I ate mine right away ). Looks like you chose a nice variety of goods from the Bakery.

And it's nice that Emily and Michael got one morning to sleep in. Sometimes, those mornings are even better than making rope drop at the parks.

I much prefer the look of that strawberry cupcake over the one from the Contempo. Disney does love to overdo it on the frosting though! I guess you could have just "brushed" the sprinkles off but that probably would have resulted in a mess .

Does anyone actually finish the yogurt parfaits they get at Disney? I say bah humbug to "healthy" eating at the World! Yogurt parfaits barely even make the health cut anyway. I say full speed ahead to the cupcakes .

Catching up with your DR, darn work keeps taking away from my DIS time, LOL. I love the Cosmic Ray's "duo-report" and the bonus pics of our own DDW! It looks like you and your family really enjoyed sharing this time with him and it's great to finally have a picture to go with the name. Love your choices at BWB, that strawberry cupcake would have been mine too. I always end up scraping most of the frosting off Disney cupcakes, since I usually find it's just too much but I just can't resist them, LOL. I'd also be tempted by the key lime pie, as that and lemon meringue are my favourites.
