hello i'm mkie (31) from just outside Baltimore Maryland. i will be on the cruise with my DW(Katie 28) and DS Tyler (1.5). This will be Katie's first cruise as a Platinum member, i'm stuck in gold and Tyler will be silver.

this will be our second cruise of 2013.

I'm a Lieutenant (and Paramedic for the fire department) and she's now an Emergency Room nurse.

I figured I'd check closer in to verify the nights however as of now I'd assume they are the same as the current 5 nighters.

I'm excited to be on the cruise right after dry dock for the Magic. I'm pretty sure the inside cabins will be receiving the magic porthole's that the new generation of ships have.

I'm also interested to see how this cruise fills up..it seems that the cruises out of miami haven't been booking so well..

I was just browsing the disney cruise site, saw a double dip at CC and a day at Atlantis, had to go!!!!!! What a great schedule!!!!!! Last cruise we did we had 2 kids, now up to 3, so cant wait for our youngest to experience a Disney cruise! So you can count me, my wife, and 3 kids (7, 5, and 20 months currently) to be coming aboard!!!!

We have always cruised in winter, early spring Anyone know what the weather will be like in October? Water must be warm after the summer months. I know when we were at Atlantis it was actually too hot, walking around was painful! SO I am hoping October will actually be a little nicer.

I am so thankful I was just browsing the site when I did, I dont think this cruise was posted too long ago, I think it will fill up quickly. Glad we got our room booked!

DW of 2MC here! Can't wait for this cruise! Looking forward to going back to CC, and taking the kids to Atlantis (DS is still trying to wrap his head around the waterslide through the shark tank! ). Kids will be 8, 6, and just shy of 3 at the time of sailing, so looking foward to seeing all of the new stuff that has been added to CC since our last cruise as well.

Looks like there is some Halloween-themed stuff that goes on in October - anyone have any experience with that? We have never cruised close to any holidays/events, so not sure what kinds of "changes" or "special activities" happen for those times of year.

I updated the first post with info. Please let me know if anything is incorrect.

We just got our documents yesterday for our 10/20/12 Fantasy cruise and they just emailed saying they were doing trick or treating for the kiddos and costume contest for the adults. I'll make sure to save everything from the cruise to share when we get back! We cruised 2 other times at Halloween time and they did the same thing (although I heard they didn't do anything last year).

The weather in October is wonderful- warm enough to swim and play but I usually have to throw in a long sleeve tee and a pullover for the evenings- especially on deck.

Our first cruise will be this one.

It will be me, DH, twin 19 year old daughter and son, and 7 year old son.

Now how am I supposed to wait over a year?

Atlantis was awesome (minus the burning hot concrete that you had to walk on at the end of August). We really enjoyed it, and one of the reasons we wanted to book this cruise was so that we could take the kids there for the day (will also give us a chance to see if it's a good fit for us for a vacation in future). The only thing is that it is expensive - like $6-7 for an ice cream cone (or at least it was back then)...will be interesting to see how much it is to grab quick service lunch for 5!! Haha!


Thanks for the info re: weather and Halloween - the kids will be SO excited if they can trick or treat during the cruise. We all got dressed up for pirate night last time (wigs, boots...head to toe!)...may have as much luggage for costumes as we do for clothing! haha! As for the weather, I suppose it's all relative. We laughed so hard the first time we went to CC - it was February, and you could pretty much tell where everyone was from by whether or not they were in the water. Those from the southern states were sitting in chairs/talking about how cold the water was...the Canadians (us included) were in the water the whole day, and were so excited about how warm the water was! Some of you will be packing sweaters for the evenings, and we'll be sweating to death (it is entirely possible that it could be snowing at home by then)!

We saw the other day that our cruise might be the first one post-extended dry dock...will be neat to be the first to see the changes (if any). If anything, guess we know it will be in top shape and super clean for our cruise.
