Having a hard time not looking at the pics. I want the LM section to be totally new to me when we check in. 81 days to go!

This is a good idea. I looked up every little detail about AoA. By the time we got there it was anti climactic. I was like, yep that looks just like the pictures! Bad idea.

Haven't been on the dis in about a year. Thinking of staying at AoA. I read the first info post but not the whole thread so sorry if my questions about the bus service have already been discussed.
Is the bus area set up the same as at Pop Century, with a dedicated handicap line? Where are the AoA bus stops located at the parks in the bus pickup area? TIA!!:):):)

These pictures are definitely making me excited to stay here! Such great themeing. I also can't wait to see the lighting at night. 10 more days....woo hoo!!!!!!:cool1:

Josh from easywdw.com has photos of some of the parks with where the bus stops are located. I think it's in this link:

People are coming back and saying that the photos don't do it justice, so I don't think it will hurt if you see some pics, but I'm not looking at all of them!

I think it will be absolutely enchanting at twilight and night time when those ship lantern lights come on. It will become a truly magical place. I'm very excited about staying here! And, it opens in just 4 more days!!!! We have 74 days to go. :yay:

Yes, there is a dedicated wheelchair lane for each of the stops at the resort.

We were at Pop last week and visited AoA a few times for meals and to visit with friends who were staying at AoA. The nighttime lighting of LM is beautiful! It stands out from the rest for sure!

My concern is with the walk from the buses to the LM rooms. So much so that when I booked our bounceback with Free Dining for next summer I chose to stay at Pop rather than even inquire about LM rooms at AoA. If you have a car and plan on using it to go to the parks then this won't be a concern to you but for those using Disney transportation it will be interesting to hear what your experiences are. We're staying in the LM rooms for one night in November so will be able to find out for ourselves too. It could just be an optical allusion and using the internal paths may make it a shorter walk than it looked but we'll see. For me it appeared that from the AoA bus stops it was a closer walk to 60's room in Pop than it would have been to LM. I'm hoping I'm wrong as I would really like to reconsider moving to AoA for our vacation next August.

To those going soon....have fun! Cannot wait to hear your reports!

That is awesome for the suites, but rumor has it that there are no coffeemakers in the LM rooms. :(

I believe you are correct. I don't believe any standard value rooms have them :confused3 Guess those Starbuck's had best start opening in the parks before I get there for my next trip :surfweb:

Easywdw says it's about seven to ten minutes from the back of the Little Mermaid section to the Main Building depending on walking speed and then another two minutes to the bus stop.

That's about how long it took me to walk from my room at CSR to El Centro so I'm not too worried.

I added a room request to be towards the front of LM to reduce the walking time since my DM and DMIL will be with us this trip.

From all the pictures I have seen so far, I do not see where there could be a drink refill station in the LM section. Anyone get any confirmed information on this? I am really thinking about trying to switch to POFQ.

I have a few questions. I requested the LK section, building 10, to be near parking and to be away from pools (love them, just want some quiet time). I saw somewhere that there are movies shown some evenings in the LK section, and they are loud. Can anyone confirm this? If so, I'll request a room facing the parking lot. Maybe I can see some Fantasmic fireworks if I get on an upper floor!

Also, are the rooms stocked with paper plates, napkins, silverware, etc? Just need to know whether to add them to my shopping list or not!

How is wifi?

The rooms have paper cups, paper plates. napkins, utensils, paper bowls, and paper towels.

There are movies shown but they are usually by the big pool but they could change location I guess.

We stayed in a cars suite 2 weeks ago and the wifi was not reliable. I was able to log into facebook and upload pictures but sometimes, I would have to reconnect to the network 3-4 times.

You can probably check email and do limited web surfing but don't plan on streaming any movies or TV shows or downloading anything.

I made reservations for LM rooms yesterday, one set in the morning and one last night (we are a party of 12 and will need 4 rooms). I requested adjoining so the kids can room hop and was given a linking number to attach the reservations so hopefully we will be close together. However, when I made the ressie last night the CM told me that the LM rooms have connecting doors so we would be able to move between 2 rooms through an interior door. Does anyone know if this is correct? I hope it is but haven't seen that mentioned anywhere. Now I just have to update my signature and add a ticker!!

When we were there, the movie screen was set up at the big blue pool. To be absolutely honest, the LK section is very small. There's no room to show movies.

The LK section is very quiet. We were in building 6, closer to the pool. The pool had music blasting all day. Once you are inside the building you can't hear any of the music.

I stand corrected. Somebody at easy WDW said they were there and the movie was at LK. I can't figure out where they would be able to show it. Maybe past the "playground" on the way to LM?

Like the other resorts, some rooms -- not all -- are available with an interior connecting door. At Pop Century there is a good room layout map available (on the FAQ thread for Pop) that shows which rooms have connecting doors. We don't have that detail for LM yet, but it sounds like your reservation has a request on it to have those rooms assigned if possible.

I ordered water from Walmart and the tracking says it was delivered on 9/11/12 but we don't arrive until 9/15/12. Will they hold this for us until Saturday? Should I call someone to confirm? If so, is there a direct number for the resort?

I am loving all the photos being posted of LM...can't wait for some night time ones too :goodvibes
