Ignore my last review as I finally remembered how to post pics! :cool1:

My DS12 and I stayed for 8 nights (Aug.24 to Sept.1), first two nights were at ASMovies, and the rest of the trip was at CSR. We both love Disney dining and always use the dining plan. Great value for us. I've paid OOP for a couple days on previous trips and wow we spend a fortune! Love the DP. Anyway, on with the review....

California Grill - We ate here on our first night. Loved this place so much last year we had to come back for more. We both had the filet without the sauce. OMG once again they did not disappoint. Best steak ever. Cooked perfectly. So tender and full of flavour. It really is the best steak we've ever had. Its been a tough one to beat, let me tell you. I've been searching other places in my hometown for a steak as good as this one. For dessert we both had banana's & caramel as per the servers suggestion. It was fantastic. Loved the crispy and creamy combination.

Best steak EVER:

Banana's & Caramel: (INCREDIBLE!).

Sci Fi (walk up, no ADR!) - I had the spinach artichoke dip with a kids cheeseburger. Lol. Spinach dip was amazing. The burger smelled funny thou, not impressed. My son had chicken wings and onion rings and loved both. Esp the wings. I tried one and it was quite good! I personally didnt care for the onion rings thou. I found them too greasy. And I dont usually complain about greasy food, so thats saying a lot. For dessert we had peanut butter chocolate cake and thought it was pretty AWESOME!!!! We were fighting over this dessert. I knew i should have had my own! Lol. We'd definitely come back. Love the atmosphere. Most of the time we've been here its always been a walk up. We've been pretty lucky. ;)

Sorry i only have one pic. And I have this annoying habit of remembering to take a pic mid-meal.
Spinach dip with tortilla chips (didnt want to use the flash):

Via Napoli - I had the quattro fromaggi pizza and my son had the pepperoni. Both were absolutely incredible!!! OMG this is a must do from now on. I cannot believe how yummy their pizza is! Between the two, i have a hard time deciding which is best. Theyre both incredible! For dessert we had the ricotta fritters, WOW. Absolutely amazing. They come to your table warm and fresh. HEAVEN! I liked the whip cream dipping better than the chocolate.
To drink we had the blood orange, very refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. Love this place.

Quattro Fromagi (sorry, half was eaten already. And fyi, the red blots on top is from the pepperoni pizza tomato sauce. It must've fell onto the quattro fromagi pizza):

Tutto Italia - Ok so both places in italy/epcot are now my fave restaurants. I had the lassagna and it was seriously the best lassagna I ever had in my life. It had the perfect meat/cheese/sauce ratio. So yummy. My son had the fetuccini with parmesan cream sauce and pancetta....he inhaled it. I tried some and it was delish! For dessert i had the tiramisu....incredible! We'll definitely be coming back for more on our next trip! I highly recommend this place. :thumbsup2

The Bread, olive oil, & olives (we didnt touch this, we both dont like olives. And i just wasnt in the mood to dip my bread):

The best lasagna ever!

My DS12 dessert, choc chip icecream. Cant remember the Italian name!

Crystal Palace breakfast - Love CP. We always loved the characters here, very cute. Interaction has always been hilarious. This time around Tigger was trying to play with my son's ipod. And Piglet was so happy that we didnt have bacon on our plate. Lol! As for the food, it was great! Love the made to order eggs, the fruit, the bacon, sausages, etc. Finally got to try poohs puffed french toast. It was good!! Not outstanding, cause i dont normally care for donuts, and essentially thats kinda what it is. But it was really good!!! I have to say, the real winner for me was the breakfast lasagna. HOLY COW! Why didnt anyone tell me about this dish? its outstanding! it might not look like much, but you seriously gotta try it. Its amazing! Esp the creme-brulee type crunchy topping! YUM! It deserves far more hype than pooh's french toast i think.

The breakfast lasagna (waffles, pancakes, pound cake, berries, cream, custard, bananas = HEAVEN):

Early AM ADR's:
For so long i've been hearing about how amazing it is to get an early AM ADR (8am-ish) so that you can walk down an empty main street. So I made an ADR for 8:10am and was very excited...UNTIL I saw how many people were on main street! It was considerably full, considering it was about 745-750am!!! WTH?!? I've seen main street much emptier during PM EMH's (around midnight) thank you very much! My thoughts for those who want to make an 8am ADR because of this, DON'T stress yourself. It really isnt a big deal. Main street wasnt that empty for me.

Ohana dinner - Service was great. The food was alright. Not the best ive ever had. My son and I are chicken wing freaks, and we weren't blown away by their wings. We just didnt care for them. My DS12 took one bite and put it down. The skin was too slimy and not crispy. I like them crispy. Noodles were decent, a bit dry thou. Same for the potstickers. The steak was not great, poor quality of beef. Chicken was good, but the pork was horrible. Way too sweet. Cant say much about the shrimp cause I dont eat that stuff. Blah! Dessert was the real winner here thou. OMG incredible! Overall it was a good experience, my fave items were the salad, bread and dessert. LOL! I honestly dont think i'll bother to go back to Ohana thou. This place IMO is highly overrated. Its one of those things where you can say 'been there done that', then move on to something better. I just wasnt impressed with the food quality.

Salad (very good):

Tusker House lunch - Sorry no pics! We've been to tusker before, but for breakfast. Not lunch! Thought i'd give lunch a try since its new to us. I thought it was decent. But I didnt care for the selection to be honest. The items I had on my plate was pretty good, but I still think their breakfast is far better. I really didnt like the variety & selection at lunch that much. Didnt care for the meat selection. The carbs were good thou...rice, potatoes etc. Some examples of offerings were: curried chicken, rotisserie & spit fire chicken, corn dog nuggets, mashed potatoes & wedges, mac n' cheese, salads, two kinds of rice, couscous, deli and cheese slices, samosa. fruit, dessert etc. Cant remember what else, sorry. Glad i tried it, characters were cute. But i'll stick to breakfast from now on. Oh, the banana bread pudding was pretty awesome and the highlight for me. Lol.

Chefs de France - OMG i love this place! So incredibly yummy. we both started out with appetizers. My son had the cheese board, WOW! Amazing! I had the warm goat chz salad. Soooooo very delish. A lot of food thou! Didnt finish thou because we had to save our appetite for the main course. For the main i had the beef short ribs with pasta. Mmmmmm, the meat was so lean and tender (kinda like a filet). It was absolutely incredible. Loved the sauce. I highly recommend this dish. My son had the half chicken with potatoes and liked it. Esp the potatoes. For dessert i had profiteroles, pretty good. but i liked my son's creme brulee better. Loved seeing Remy. We'll definitely come back next year. I was really impressed with the food and decore.

Half eaten cheese board (sorry! forgot to take a pic). Missing from this pic are the grapes, slices of raisin-type bread, and a slice of what looks like swiss cheese. Best app i've ever had:
IMG_0736.jpg

Salad with warm goat cheese. OMG incredible as well:
IMG_0731.jpg

Beef short ribs with cabernet sauce & noodles. The meat was surprisingly very tender & lean (keep in mind, there are no bones). I love it!
IMG_0744.jpg

1/2 roasted chicken with potatoes. Both were great. Esp the potatoes! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Yum!

Profiteroles:

Creme brulee (the winning dessert):

Wolfgang Puck Express (marketplace, takeout) - I cant say enough good things about the food at this place. Just wow. Last year i had the spagetti & meatballs, it was phenominal. This time i had bacon wrapped meatloaf with onion straws and mashed potatoes, HOLY SMOKES, incredible. Out of this world. The creme brulee cheesecake was amazing as well. Oh how i wish I had a WGPE closer to my home! This was one of the highlights of our trip. I know i've said this already with tutto, chefs, and via, but seriously, this place rocks my socks. The pic is lousy, i bit into it AGAIN before remembering to snap a pic. Plus to boot, I had it in a take out container. Lol. Sorry! :confused3

Bacon Wrapped meatloaf with onion straws & mashed potatoes (HEAVENLY):
IMG_0265.jpg

The pic doesnt do this dish justice. It looks mangled because I already put my fork thru it. But its by far one of the best meals of my trip.

Vanilla cheesecake (notice the creme-brulee-like topping? amazing!):

Beaches & Cream - Four of us had dinner here one night, my son and I, and another disser with her DS. When i checked in they said it was close to an hour wait. But my buzzer rang after only 25 min, and the place was empty! Really strange. I was excited to eat here because i keep hearing about how they have the best burger in disney. Well sadly, none of us thought the burgers were the best in disney. The flavour was good, but the burger itself was pretty thin and floppy. A little disappointing. The highlight of the meal was the kitchen sink. WOW! Its huge! four of us barely ate half. It was fun thou. Our server was great. But I doubt we'll be rushing back to this place in the future. Again, been there done that. Moving along....

The over-rated thin and floppy burger:

Kitchen sink:

Pepper Market dinner:

Pasta with tomato-cream sauce & chicken. Not too bad!
IMG_0778.jpg

Some treats:

Candy apples:
IMG_0467.jpg

Cake pops:
IMG_0469.jpg

Inside of the red velvet cakepop:
IMG_0492.jpg

I thought the cake pop was good but not the best. It was far too dense for my liking. I like my cake pops a bit fluffier, more like cake! Instead the consistency was more along the lines of fudge. If that makes sense?

Ricecrispy treats:

Forgot to include this in the via napoli review. Blood orange drink. So refreshing!

Great pics!!! You have me hungry for dessert.

I want to try to get Crystal Palace now that they brought back the breakfast lasagna.

I love cake pops at WDW but they are more like fudge, that is what I like, yum!!

Great trip report and great pictures. After seeing your via napoli pictures, I just made an adr for lunch, have been trying for a dinner adr but can't get one, but I thought after seeing your pictures, that there is no way I can miss that pizza.;)

Youre very smart, via napoli is phenominal! promise me you'll try the ricotta fritters for dessert? (zeppole). Its amazing! it comes to your table warm and fresh. so good. btw the menu at lunch and dinner are the same. so dont worry about not getting a dinner ADR. Same menu! ;)

Love your review and agree with you on everything we have tried, so I know I can trust you on things we haven't! Lol! Those zeppole, yum. Loved them so much I made my sister try to make them for my birthday! She did a pretty good job too! The braised ribs from Chefs, yum. The creme brulee, yum. I could go on and on! Thanks for posting this!:thumbsup2

Okay, now I'm hungry. We have Cali Grill, TH, 'Ohana and Via Napoli booked from your list. Can't wait to try them all.

Another reader here who wants to know what's in the "breakfast lasagna", since we are looking at CP for our next trip.

Zeppole is SOOOO GOOD. Love the fact that it comes to you warm and fresh!

Chefs is wonderful, it gets so many mixed reviews but i absolutely loved it! Glad you enjoyed the pics. If you have any questions let me know. ;)

I've never heard of breakfast lasagna, could you please tell me what is in it?

Another reader here who wants to know what's in the "breakfast lasagna", since we are looking at CP for our next trip.

I believe it contains waffles, pancakes, strawberries/berries, bananas, custard, cream, & pound cake. The topping is very much like creme brulee. ITS SO GOOD! OMG a hidden gem for sure. You gotta try it! :goodvibes

TH & Ohana were disappointing. I love both for breakfast way better. I dont get the hype with Ohana dinner....the quality of food isnt that great IMO. The "famous" wings were chewy and blah! I like my wings with a bit of a crisp to it. Not chewy/slimy. oh well!

The real winners were Cali Grill & WGPE (been here before, consistently phenominal meals), Via Napoli (so good), Tutto (amazing), and Chefs (love it). Lol!

Good lord, it's the entire breakfast buffet on a single plate! Sounds wonderful! I'll be trying for one of those 8:05 ADRs, not for the Main Street view per se (we're not big photo-takers) but so that we still start our park time before the crowds begin to hit.

This is a huge bonus! i loved being ahead of the crowd! I couldnt believe how packed main st was before 8am. Crazy!

As for the breakfast lasagna, its just like a reg lasagna in terms of how its served. One big pan. You scoop out how much you want.

I have to say, I was on the fence about choosing Via Napoli....well, not anymore! You have me excited to try it!! I loved your reviews and pictures!! Thanks for sharing with us!!:goodvibes

Youre a VERY smart individual! Great choice. I really dont think you'll be disappointed. :thumbsup2

Great reviews! Love your succinct writing style. I loved seeing all of your opinions and choices, but I have to say thanks for your review and pic of the cake pops. I too would prefer a cakey pop instead of fudgy so I'll save money and stomach space for a different dessert!
