You are. Same as driving or any other private transportation.

Perfect reason to buy insurance, yes it's costly, but IF needed, saves $$ and headaches. Just like life, it's a gamble.

It would only cover it if you bought the airfare through DCL. They expect you to leave plenty of time between leaving the port and your flight, so that it woudn't be an issue. DCL insurance only covers what you purchase through DCL.

Most independently purchased insurance would cover this. (Of course it always depends on the exact circumstances).
