My whole extended family is counting on me to make this trip magical! I have planned all the air-resort and meals. What I need help on now is Fastpass and Ride strategies. Their are 6 adults and 2 kids. Ages 3 (36 inch) and 5 (48 inch).

What rides in MK should we do 1st and what rides should we get Fastpasses for? I have read Peter Pan is a must. Any info would be great!! Thank you.

I would head straight to Fantasyland, and:
-Grab a Peter Pan fast pass
-To Dumbo
-Barnstormer
-Winnie the Pooh
-Check out the rest of FL
And then just do whichever other rides you'd like. I'd advise to stay away from Stitch's Great Escape, and possibly pirates(it can be scary, and its pretty dark in there for younger kids haha)

Touring plans dot com and EZWDW dot com both give lots of good advice about "touring strategy". A lot depends on the day you are at the park, so I'd give those sites a look.

Get a touringplans.com subscription for $9.95 with the Mousesavers discount. It is so worth the money!!! Their plans give you step by step instructions about what to ride when, what to get fast passes for, how to tailor the plans for your group (small kids, teens, couple, etc). I have used them twice and will use them again.

Thank you all for the info. I just singed up for touring plans. The site is great but I would love if someone could just give me a list of what they do. I will keep looking on the site it has a lot of information. Thanks.

Is your 5 year old a daredevil type? Would he/she ride space mountain, Splash mountain, or BTMR? What day of the week will you be in MK? Right now is a pretty slow time. You should be able to ride most everything you want to.

This allears site has the ride height restrictions...

We usually get a must-do list from the kids and we go from there.

He is. He will ride anything. We will be there on a Tue. The Halloween party is also that night if that helps.

I was thinking of starting in Fantasyland.

That's usually a quiet day at MK, and when there's a party at night, the crowds are usually lighter until later in the afternoon when people start arriving for the party. I would try to be there for rope drop and just have a plan on how you want to go thru the park. Personally, I think that plan is different for everyone. We use FP when necessary, we try to eat lunch early (11:ish) as to avoid crowds and wasted time, and just have fun. You won't see everything, it's too big of a place. The best thing you can do is know what's important to the people in your group and come up with a loose plan.

Defer to PP's on Fantasyland.... although Mickey's Philharmagic is a MUST DO for us... even with "KIDS" aged 18-20...

Tomorrowland has Buzz Lightyear and Monster's Laugh Inc....those are sure to please your little ones... (Totally agree with skipping Stitch!)

For the older "kids"... maybe do Space Mountain and entertain those too short in the gift shop OR

Don't forget to look for PUSH... the walking talking trashcan in Tomorrowland !

Have a magical visit !
