oct 20 2012 Magic can happen!

I thought the same thing but I think that cruiser was taking back to back cruises and on their second cruise they would be celebrating Halloween.
See below, the post was from skayrobe. My group is on a B2B but not sure if skayrobe is as well or if the festivities are planned for several cruises around Halloween, I had thought it would only happen on our 2nd cruise during the cruise that Halloween fell within. But I haven't attempted to find out any additional info
That's what I was thinking. Thanks

Also since this is our first Disney cruise...how many kids are usually expected this time of year. I figured the week of Halloween would be greater.
I think kids and adults will be low :)

We have just booked this cruise. This will be our first Disney Cruise. Then we leave Dec 9 th on our second Disney cruise through the Panama Canal.
It is just my husband and I so far. I am thinking of bringing my4 year old granddaughter.
I just read on twitter that this will be a Halloween themed cruise. Hooray. Costumes. Fun food. Scary movies. Can't wait to find out more. Does anyone know if there is a formal night and a semi formal night? What about a pirate night. Sherry

Skayrobe are you on a back 2 back cruise as well? Did twitter mention any additional info?

I got my info from twitter from the Disney Blog. It stated that both cruises would have Halloween celebrations. Spooky movies on the funnel vision by the pool, special Halloween themed characters. I will see if I can do a little more research. But he definitely stated the Oct 20 and the Oct 27 cruise. Makes sense for decorations since they turn around and leave port again. Sherry:cool1:

Aha, I found a source for my info on the cruise. I googled The Disney Blog, then on his homepage I found the search box. I put in Halloween cruise and there was the info I had seen on twitter. It has alot of great information. :banana:Sherry

I have no idea, this our first cruise. My kids are only in Pre K so school isn't an issue for us.

Just booked our first family cruise with 2 yr old DD, DH & grandparents! We're so excited to join the FE if this is still possible?

Glad you are joining us. It is our first Disney cruise also. If you look back on page 4 near the bottom you will find the link to sign up for the Fe. I don't think we have a cut off date yet.
Today I was out shopping for pink flats, anyway I ran into Marshall's , I did not find my pink flats but did find some wonderful Martha Stewart Halloween decorations for a really great price. Lots of stuff to decorate my stateroom door. Now I just have to find magnets. So excited for the cruise.:yay:

Yes you can still sign up. There is a link above that will allow you to sign up on a spreadsheet.

we will have to decide as a group when we want to close the FE gorup. I am fine going til maybe 2 weeks out from cruise? but am flexible. anyone have recommendations for when we should close?

my girlfiends nov 4 FE group just closed yesterday:scared1:

May I suggest Oct 1st as a final day to sign up for the Fe. We don't have that big of a group signed up but I know I will need time to get my things ready. :yay: Sherry

We are looking into booking this cruise soon. This will be our first Disney cruise. Trying to work out the details with husband's job and pulling the kids out of school. I have a 6 yr old daughter and 4 yr old son. I'm really hoping things work out and if it does, we definitely want to participate in the FE. I am already trying to come up with FE gifts - will it be per cabin or for each individual person?

SOUNDS GOOD to me :dance3:

I dont know all the FE rules  but I vote for whatever you think of that you would like to do is fine it can be for the cabin or per person. Mine happen to be per person and per cabin just because of what I found and I keep coming home with more FE ideas/goodies. Thankfully we are flying Southwest!

Thank you for the link! I finally took the time to sign up our group! My kids are especially excited about the exchange. Last time we went they wanted to know what the pockets were all about! Does anyone give gifts that are about their area or region? Or is it more candy, or trinkets, or toys? Just trying to do some planning! See you all soon!

We received all of the above during our 1st FE. It is up to you and just do whatever you prefer, I think. I gave out a local item plus toy, candy bags for the kids and the adults other items- mini safety/ 1st aid kit with our cruise info on box on our last cruise.

I really had the best intentions of making my own Fish Extender for my stateroom door. I looked around for ideas then I went to etsy for ideas. I found such cute ones that I ended up ordering one. Oh well, that leaves me alot more time to make gifts. pixiedust: Sherry

I received an email from Disney today about our Halloween party for our cruise. It did not give us a date for the costume party but there will be prizes for adults and a parade for the kids. Looks like this is going to be a fun cruise. Can't wait. :yay: sherry

Hooray we are up to twelve staterooms for our Fe exchange. I had better get busy. How is everyone else doing? I always put things off until the last minute. Pretty soon we will be thirty days from cruising. Wow!:cool1: Sherry

I haven't been on in awhile and YAY there are more goings on here now that we are getting closer.

Thanks miyta for starting up the FE! I added me and my other half. ::yes::

Can't wait, we are almost 30 days out...:hyper:

Have Halloween costumes. Looks like the kids might be wearing them for both cruises 20th and 27th. Have too many FE goodies, but I did the same last cruise as well. Need to get snorkels and masks for the kids this week, two of the 3 have outgrown theirs. With them so little, it's hard to get good fitting gear on the excursions. I try to pack 2 weeks early so I don't overpack. I take things away vs adding. If I ack the day before, it's a frenzy and I always bring too much:hourglass
