Remy's - Pictures & Ruminations - UPDATED for January, 2013 Dinner

Do you think the Champagne Brunch will be offered on 4-nts in December? Would LOOVE it! We dined at Remy last September and it's by far my favorite dining experience ever. Not that I have many to compare it to ... lol ... it was exquisite. Would love to try the brunch.

For those wondering about how much food you get -- all those courses add up over the evening. There are amuse bouches, cheeses, breads, all those mains and little appetizers and desserts. You should not leave hungry.

Great pictures! Wish mine we so good. My hubby gives me the ginormous eye roll whenever the camera comes out during dinner, so my quick snaps never come out that well.

... I probably took about 500 pictures on this trip - maybe more - and have been very bad about posting.... made the mistake of waiting for time, inspiration, etc. .... don't think, just do.... here goes

Introductory note - we did not see anyone familiar - I think by this point in the cruise, we already knew that MANY from the Dream were serving on the Fantasy for the series of 3 day cruises for people "in the business" (travel agents). As such , we did not get the explanation of various elements of the restaurant (described earlier in this thread), but there was no other real discernible difference in the dining experience.

Unfortunately I do not have any pics to share. The photos of the food bring back memories of the Remy meal we had on the Dream last August.

We are just off the Fantasy and we enjoyed both a Remy dinner and Champagne lunch - both excellent. All the food choices were new. The collette cocktail remained the same thank goodness. They also brought back the original Ratatouille amuse bouche with the dollop of olive oil ice cream that they served on the initial launch of the Dream.

I can't get enough of Remy. Sebastian, pouring wine in your photos, is the head sommelier on the Fantasy, the manager is Nicolas and the executive chef is Benoit. We saw Captain Marco enjoying lunch there.

I've got a photo to make you drool. Eric standing in front of a wall of Iberico ham in a shop in Ronda, Spain!

And for serious, I have got to get back on one of these new ships and try Remy for these desserts alone! So beautiful, they require a second go-round.

Wow - I took so much time off, I forgot where I was in the posting....

Of course, we were too full to enjoy these extra delights - cookies, homemade suckers, and homemade raspberry marshmallows - all of which we had for breakfast in our room the next day, along with a small box of 4 house-made candies. It doesn't get more "vacation" than that, for me!!

Let us know how you like it!

I am looking forward to Fantasy version in January! Making reservations this week!!

LWQuestie - we think of you folks every time we order the Chianti! When are you going next?

I love your photos of the food .... helps me savor the memory

I guess I'm just a foodie but I can honestly say that Remy is my favorite experience on the new ships. I liked a lot of things about my cruise but if I had to list one favorite highlight it would be the Remy experience.

Just got off the Magic yesterday! It was a girl's trip with my mom and two aunts (we left Eric at home).

I hooked my aunts... maybe we'll be able to get on board the Dream or Fantasy to experience Remy on the next cruise! They are part-time FL residents - woohoo!

... was just able to start booking activities for 7-night Jan, 2013 cruise - 3 sea days ensured access to both Palo brunch and Remy brunch, and dinners!

Saturday night, I was able to secure my Remy ressie. Would like brunch but didnt see it offered on the Fantasy yet.

So far you can only sign up for Remy Brunch on board the ship.

Thanks for the info. How was brunch compared to dinner?

Can't answer the specific question because I've only done the brunch. I will say that the brunch was absolutely amazing. Its not one of those all you can eat things. Its a paced multi-course brunch with some really interesting food combinations and presentation. Service is impeccable. Foods are not your traditional things.

We enjoyed the brunch so much we finally decided that we would do Remy dinner on our December cruise.
