Let's pretend everything is perfect, no traffic, no delays. How would you get from the magical express to the fort to downtown disney?

Important info:
Flight arrives 10:08am
BBB appointments for 2 kids at 12:20 at downtown disney.

So frustrated, gave my SIL the BBB info for my niece 6 months in advance and she never made the reservations so I finally took matters into my own hands yesterday (11 days out from our trip) and this was the ONLY slot available at either location that fits into our itinerary for our whole stay.

So if we send them directly on their way and not check in until later do you think they can make it?

Getting from an arrival gate at MCO to a BBB appointment at Downtown Disney in 2 hours and 12 minutes using DME and WDW Transportation would require incredible luck.

If you race from your gate to the DME Welcome Center, are ushered directly onto a waiting DME motorcoach heading Fort Wilderness, depart from MCO right after boarding, travel nonstop to Fort Wilderness (instead of making up to 3 other stops on the way), quickly leave your carry-ons with someone at the check-in facility, get to the bus stop just in time to catch a bus to Downtown Disney, and race to BBB, you would make it with time to spare.

In the real world, such perfect luck is unlikely. The reality is that DME typically takes 60-90 minutes, but can take longer. Buses to DTD during the day run infrequently. How long you wait is a matter of luck, but waiting 20 minutes would not be unusual. (I've waited 60 minutes for a late-morning bus from DTD to my resort.)

If a flight that I'm on is only delayed a half hour, I don't even consider it a delay. But if you have to be somewhere in 2 hours and 12 minutes, even a small flight delay could make that impossible.

Now, add the stress, and it doesn't seem like a fun way to start a vacation.

What are the consequences of arriving at BBB too late? Would it just mean a cancelled reservation and disappointed children? Or would there also be a financial hit?

I'd be out $20 but R's not a huge deal, SIL would just have to deal with a devastated 6 year old for who knows how long.

How about ME to the fort then cab to Downtown Disney? Personally I have a rental car but there is no way I'm renting car seats and shuttling them around for something that was their moms fault. Sorry if I sound bitter, just ready to be done with the planning of this trip for 10 with my in-laws!

Can some in the party take DME to check in at FW while a couple others take the kids via cab directly to BBB? There will be cabs at the airport with carseats but this adds at least $60 plus tip to the cost of the makeover!

This would probably put them at the appointment on time but depending on the travel logistics they may or may not enjoy the experience to the fullest.

I would keep trying for a cancellation or an alternate activity.

Certainly would be better chances than by bus. The ride from FW Outpost to WoD @ DTD should be under 15 minutes. And fortunately, the main DTD taxi stand is right outside WoD.

I'd be prepared to hop off the bus @ FW & immediately grab a cab. Maybe split up the party & have someone else handle check-in, or check in later if it's allowed.

Also, I understand that you' have to take the bus to the resort your reservations are at, but I don't know whether you are allowed to get off at an earlier stop. If it's allowed, and if the bus stops at PO, OKW, or SSR before getting to FW, then the group going to DTD could get a taxi at one of those resorts, all of which are closer to DTD.
