We've decided to pass on making and ADR for table service. They're just a bit lost on us. We like to eat and move on. I MIGHT make one as a surprise since it's an anniversary/birthday trip but I'm not sure just yet. Anyway, I know that Flaming Tree in AK is a pretty good value with great food, but what about other places in the parks? The best food/most amount for a smaller price? (We may share meals because DH usually takes 3 bites and he's full! More room for snacks though amirite?:rotfl:)

Personally, I love Pecos Bill's in MK... I may be alone in that though lol... Great burgers and tacos salads, fries and onion rings were great too. Best part is the great selection of toppings for your burgers and taco salads, including hot cheese sauce, and freshly fried onions and mushrooms. Yum!

Tangierine Cafe in Epcot. I think their platters are better than many of the offerings at table service restaurants.

That's actually on my list of places I'd like to go because I bought this shirt earlier this summer:

I like both, Flame Tree and Pecos Bill.. though WPE has a great deal of food for your $$$. I would love to hear some other people's thoughts. I was hoping to bump up to TS this next year just for a change for once, but probably won't happen. We love to just eat on the go as well and I hate having to make sure I'm somewhere at a set time with the 5 kids that go with. We work on KID TIME while at Disney.

We like Cosmic Rays in MK. Lots of choices and some things can def. be shared. Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT is a really good cs place too. HS is a little tougher. But we will share a pizza and salad from PP. Not the best pizza on the planet ( hahaaa) but ok. Over by the TOT the cs food is pretty good. AK I love the Y+Y cs. The chix fried rice is great and so are the fries. The sweet sour chix is good too. And grab yourself a Yak Attack. You can easily share at these places. Well you can share at just about everyplace in WDW.

BTW we dont have a lot of adrs. We just wing it. We will go to rfc, t-rex or yy along with other places and sit at the bar. Sometimes we just get apps. You can get everything from the restaurant menu and dont have to plan ahead.

Columbia harbor house! the fried shrimp and steamed broccoli platter was one of the best meals I've had all week. the salmon also gets rave reviews.

I forgot about Yak and Yeti CS! We went there last trip and sat and watched the monkeys. Good food and a fun way to pass the time!

We don't usually do ADRs either. I wanted to try some new TS places but I just don't want to spend the time or money. We're both pretty good cooks so if we really want to try something new we do it at home and save the money!

Thanks for the tips so far everyone!

I share with my son often so I will share my thoughts.

Best bang for the buck is any bakery. Most have HUGE sandwiches for around $6 and the muffins and cupcakes are $5. I can't finish a cupcake with my son they are so big. We easily share the sandwiches. I will also often get a kids meal just for myself. The macaroni n cheese or chicken drumstick kid's meals are excellent. Stay away from chicken nuggets, they are tiny. Other than this, I will list my favorite QS meals.....

Magic Kingdom
Columbia Harbour House= Both for the healthy salmon, cous cous, and broccoli plate (nice to get something healthier), and sitting up stairs is very quiet

Pecos Bill= Taco Salad
I love this because they give you a shell and meat and you can fill up the veggies yourself. I've heard you can sub chicken for the beed but I tried that last time and they wouldn't. This is a super filling dish though.

Epcot
I prefer to snack through Epcot because there are so many goodies.
France Bakery= The ham and cheese sandwiches

Tangierene= Shawarma Platters (though my son didn't like them)

Sunshine Seasons= Decent QS with different selections

Animal Kingdom
Flame Tree= Pretty much everything is good

Hollywood Studios
Starring Rolls= Back to a bakery because most of HS food stinks. Starring Rolls has limited hours

Sci-Fi= This is a TS and not QS, but it's not too pricey. I have to vote this because there is very little food at HS that I like.

Downtown Disney
Two great choices here...
Earl of Sandwich= Everything is good, sandwiches are $6, crazy long line but it moves fast, and easily shareable

Wolfgang Puck Express= Margarita pizza

Check out Disney Food Blog for reviews on everything. I usually only do QS if I need to relax and get out of the heat, so I look for anywhere in the AC. Mostly I just snack...snadwiches, cupcakes, Dole Whips, stuffed pretzels, egg rolls, etc

I have honestly found most of our food court meals to be very good, no matter which WDW resort we've stayed in--Pop, CSR's Pepper Market, and Port Orleans Riverside are all excellent IMO. Also, Sunshine Seasons in Epcot serves a huge pork chop meal. You get two sides with it and if you're on the Dining Plan, the bakery has an awesome dessert selection.

Have to mention that Cosmic Ray's is not the great deal it was when you could get the chicken and rib combo plus the chocolate cake cup they serve is garbage. I think we'll stick with Columbia Harbor House when in the Magic Kingdom from now on. The tuna sandwich is incredible, my family enjoys the fried shrimp, and we love the apple tart dessert. :)

Casey's! Huge hot dog w pulled pork & coleslaw piled on top! Tangierine Cafe is quite yummy & filling. The sandwiches at Pizzafari were very filling but easy on the belly. Earl of Sandwich has long lines but they go fast. Food is great & a bargain even if it were OFF property.

peco bills gets our vote. buy your burger, but load up at the condiment table. load up on mushrooms, onions, lettuce, tomatoes and turn the burger into a feast. also health.

We liked Sunshine Seasons as well. We didnt eat at Columbia Harbour House but it looked good. Also, The Plaza Restaurant (TS) is not that expensive (in fact not much more than many QS). We were on the DDP (free) so we didnt see the exact costs but I think they ranged from $12-16 (really reasonable for Disney). The desserts there are also amazing ranged I think from $4-7!

Columbia Harbour House: Love everything I have tried here!!

Tangierene Cafe: Shawarma Platters, easily shared but so yummy, you may not want to!!

Hollywood Studios: Starring Rolls, the sandwiches don't look huge, but are filling!! The pastries, yummo!!

Earl of Sandwich: Great sandwiches, great for oop since it is inexensive!

Wolfgang Puck Express: Love this place!! Great for breakfast or other meals!! Better value on the dining plan as it is a bit pricey.

Mara: Haven't had a meal here I didn't like and they have some nice different tasting options!! IE: African stew in a bread bowl!!

POR: Make your own pasta. You picl the ingredients and the pasta and sauce you want. It is seriously good and huge!! Easily shared!! They also have a make your own salad which is just as good and just as huge!

I know there are more, but just can't think right now.
