Any rumor when 2014 dates come out?

My family is talking about an Alaskan cruise in the summer of 2014. Are the Alaskan cruises doing well? Does it seem likely that they will continue the Alaskan cruises?

I booked us on the June 24, 2013 cruise when opening day prices came out in January 2012 b/c I knew how important booking opening day prices was with the Fantasy when we did that in October 2010 for our June 2012 cruise. On that one, prices for our sailing and same cabin type practically doubled by the time we set sail....however, Disney offered a cash discount price to DVC members which got them on in a verandah cabin at about 1/2 the cost of our opening day price!!!

Anyways, so with this one, the price has not budged since opening day :confused3 I thought Alaskan DCL cruises were popular, etc. Since booking it, I had to move it to the last week in July 2013 (better for work and sports schedules, etc), and prices still have not budged.

I am waiting for 2014 to be released to see if people might move their ressies to Alaska if DCL is not going back there then, or what......hoping they stay empty and Disney offers discounts, like KSF, or DVC cash prices!

I can always hope for summer 2015 as I already promised both kids we would be back on the big Mickey boat then :cool1::banana:pixiedust:

All we really know right now is that they are returning in 2013 for the season in Alaska. I'm hoping they continue to do so.

:cutie:

Me too. I REALLY want to book this for our Honeymoon in 2014. My other half is not a Disney person but is very fond of scenic trips. He's agreed that this would be a trip we could do as a compromise for both of us!

The only trouble is we can't affor to go next year if it turns out they won't be sailing to Alaska in 2014 as we're saving for the wedding

DISNEY - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE return to Alaska in 2014!!!

We want to do a Pacific coast cruise...........and we live pretty close and lived for many years in WA.
I hope they bring it back for 2014.....that's the cruise we want to do in spring for DH's birthday......if they don't, we will go with another cruise line to do it :(

we know they'll be doing galvestone again - since they signed a 2 year contract. However, they switched western itineraries to eastern cause they were not selling.

rumor is NYC will be back...

The westerns were not switched for easterns. Select 8 night westerns where changed into 2 4 night westerns or 8 night bahamas cruises (castaway, port canaveral, key west)....

There are no eastern carribbean cruises from galveston

With absolutely no authority to do so, I'm going to hazard a guess and say that DCL isn't going to the Med in 2014. #1, Because they are going in 2013. And #2, NY wants the Magic back.

:cutie:

That's what I think too. Just hope they do longer cruises out of NY.

Fingers crossed that the Fantasy does the Eastern Carribbean run for Feb break! I don't like the itinerary for Feb break 2013

We don't think we can afford Alaska until 2014 either. REALLYhope DCL goes to Alaska in 2014!

We were on the Magic in August and were told they are looking at various itineraries but there was a possibility of sailing out of NY in 2014. They also told us that 2014 dates may open in October but they weren't certain.

Hoping for Hawaii round trip cruises in 2014!!! Please DCL!!! Since we can't go this October, we really hope they try the Hawaii cruises again in the future and we haven't missed out!

Has anyone found any other hints about 2014? ... We know they signed for 2 years with Galveston, so that will be a port for one of the older boats for at least part of the year. The Wonder will end the 2013 year cruising from Galveston and the Magic will drydock near the end of 2013 in europe and end the 2013 year with cruises from Miami. And we know the 2 new boats are staying at port canaveral. And there is the possibility of Jamaica as a future port. When I check the port schedules (like Hawaii's port calendar) it only includes 2012 and 2013 dates. Any cruise itinerary detective found anything else out?

I would love it if they did some special Southern carribean itineraries. I really enjoyed the Christmas Southern Carribean itinerary back in 2010.

I expect they'll do 7 days going to PC (day excursion to the parks were very popular) and CC. That's my guess. I think also hearing that canada ports were expensive, so it could be an issue.

DCL could sell out a whole 7 day trip in a day of they do a NY sailing on Nov '14 during NJ week. But WDW would be empty...

I am not set on a certain ship or location because I need to see what will work for our dates first. We want to book a cruise during spring break, which is the last full week of March, 2014. I am dying for the itineraries to come out so I can figure out which cruise will fit our dates, get it booked, and then I can finally start getting excited! This is the first time in several years that I'm not in the midst of planning our next WDW trip, and it's killing me!

WHAT?! I didn't hear about this! Is everything ok?

We were on that cruise. We never felt the hit. By the time we disembarked they were already sanding the bow where it hit.Within an hour of the Magic hitting the NCL ship took out the gangway at the Intrepid museum. Not a good day for the pilots I would say.

I have some pics. I will post later..

I am curious on the new 8 night out of Galveston itinerary. We had thought of doing it originally, but without CC, I couldn't sell the family. Well now that they not only added that, but Key West, my husband wants to book a dummy date when we sail on the Dream in 2 weeks.

Bumping to see if anyone out there has any new info. Hoping they come out after October as October is CRAZY for us.
