Next round of Fastpass testing 9/18

We arrive on the 17th and I hope we are lucky enough to be picked to test the system!
 
Can't wait to see the latest enhancements, along with app integration!
 


Does anyone know how to get picked? We are arriving on 9/14 and staying until 9/20.

Last time, they chose guests using Disney's Magical Express transportation.

This time... it looks like Disney is making early contacts.

They have not specified just which "kind" of guests will be contacted (or why they will be chosen.)
 
Curious as to how this will work. I don't have a smart phone and am not inclined to get one. Do you have to have one if you'll be using Fast Passes?
 


Not linking the new system....... The old way was so much more park friendly.

Now, it appears that we have to waste time close to that area, or have anxiety over making it back on time.....NOPE not likin it at all.
 
I'm going to miss getting a bundle of fastpasses for many different rides and then using them all at once.:sad:
 
IKR! we never abused it, but we would go early a get a couple of them, and enjoy the parks all day and then go on the rides we fast passed at the endoof the day before the fireworks and then head to the hotel....

I can't imagine how its going to fair well, when one is there at peak, and you fast pass say.... splash mountain, and the you go to wait for say space mountain, and the line is long and it take one over an hr just to get through the line , then the ride, and then you have to run back for the fast pass ride....

I always thought that the way it was was perfect... we could go about the rest of the park, and enjoy our day, instead of worring if we would make it back in time......not sure if they institute this new system it will not be used by my family.... too stressful
 
With this next round of testing is there any indication when the new system will be permanently implemented?

Us too, no smart phone and no intention of getting one..this sounds like a nightmare, what was wrong with the old system, seemed to work fine...must have to do with money and paying less people...that all it has been about lately
 
This system will make life a lot easier for Cast Members and Guests alike :thumbsup2

can you explain how? Because before it didn't matter to the cast members what time you had on our ticket...now they have to look and turn people away for being late...sounds like there will be more angry people when they find out they are too late to ride.

ok... I missed a portion of the article...I appologize. But now it means you would actually have to plan your day. still not liking it ..... We like to just go..the only things that are planned are dinner and shows.
 
We just got the email that we were selected. We get to pick one day to test it. I will post screen shots later tonight of the info.
 
I got the email too but I am getting an error Reservation details not valid! When I logged on my name and birthday came up correctly so I don't understand what's happening. Guess I wil call tomorrow. :confused3

Can you tell me? I am having the same problem. I got the email but every time I try to log on I get that darn invalid message. :confused3
 
I got the email today (we'll be there on the 18th). I'm having the same issue registering also. I guess I'll call tomorrow if I can't figure it out.
