Tortuga Tavern Open Seasonally?

I like to plan out every meal before we leave for our trip and I'm in the process of compiling our lunch list now.

I have Tortuga Tavern on the list, but I know that everywhere says that it is open seasonally.

How can I know if it will be open during our trip (September 29 - October 5)?

No way to know. I've seen it open in March, May and July this year, but only for lunch.

1) And, even during busy times, it can open or not open daily.
2) I know there is a reason, but no one k nows when/why it is open.

It's never open when we go in Nov. Sadly, b/c I'd love to try it. However PB tall tale cafe always has the taco salad which is pretty darn good.

Tortuga was open on our last trip (December 2011), but sadly we missed out because it closed at 4:00!

We were there in October and Tortuga Tavern was open, but the hours were pretty limited. It was listed as 11:00 - 3:00 in the Weekly Times Guide that you can pick up when you enter the park. We were surprised to see it open so we walked through it, but didn't eat there.

We ate there on our last family trip in '09. It was almost 3 years ago, but, YUCK! It was taco bell quality, not good at all. I would opt for something else personally.

We loved TT! We ate there last June. Really hope they are open for you. Not Taco Bell quality. Sorry but Taco Bell is dog food grade. This is far better. Plus my girls loved their quesadilla kids meals If you eat there get the beef nachos instead of the taco salad. Basically the same meal (just a pretty taco shell for the salad), but the nachos are cheaper.

I would not call it cute.

It is outdoor and you know how messy people are when they don't have to clean up after themselves.

It is similar to something like a Taco Bell or Taco Casa.

It has been open in Sept. end of Oct. Early/late Nov. Early Dec. And early March. In recent years. I think it is open more than we think...only the hours are limited. It closed at 3pm when we have eaten there recently. We like it but PB has a better toppings bar! I have been known to wander over there for some goopy cheese to add to my food from TT! It is way less busy than PB.
