Photopass question

I never remember to use my camera so I'm thinking of buying the photopass on my upcoming trip. What do I get? Just pix that the photographers took or will I get ride photos and some stock shots as well?

It depends on what you purchase. Purchasing the Photo CD will include a copy of every picture in your account, including all edits. If you simply do normal Photopass, this will primarily be pictures taken in the parks and with characters.

However, pictures taken at certain locations will add "bonus" pictures to your account. These are typically stock photos that will be included on the CD. For instance, when we added the pictures taken at AK last trip, we ended up with several photos of one of the Tamarins (sp?). And some picture we had taken in the MK added some pictures of Mickey & Minnie. (It may be a general MK picture, or it may have been that we met Mickey and Minnie. No idea) They have also released codes for Halloween photos, Christmas photos, etc. The normal Photopass also included the picture from Test Track for free. As of now, no one knows if this will return when the ride re-opens, although I imagine it will.

The Photopass+ product includes all of the above, but will also include a CD with 300-400 stock photos from around the parks. And you will also be able to claim and ride photos and dining photos while the Photopass+ is valid. You can also buy the stock photo CD for something like $39.95 if you really want it.

Claim ride photos - do I still have to pay for them if I get the + option. That's included for $170 - right??

Search around online for discounts. I just got the photopass preorder cd for 119 through a discount link

If you get the + option, you just go and get it uploaded/downloaded onto your + card (no prints). But you do get free print packages at various dining locations.

Which locations? Is there a list when you activate the package?

I pre-ordered the Plus package and had it delivered to my mom's home (where we will visit before we head to WDW) so I am anxious to see what's in the envelope.

There is no longer a $99 price. Or any codes for the preorder. Just the published preorder pages with the link. The preorder price for the regular Photopass is now $119 I believe.

There is a list provided in the package (or with the actual card/voucher you get at the location), but here's what I found off a website:

Attractions that are participating in the new program include Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock 'n Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest and Dinosaur.

Character dining locations offering print packages include: 1900 Park Fare, breakfast at Ohana, Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, Chef Mickey's, Cinderella's Royal Table, breakfast at Tusker House, Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue, and Akershus Princess Storybook Dining.

NOTE: Cinderella's Royal Table and Akershus already come with print packages as part of your cost of your meal so you DON'T receive an extra print package (so I'm not sure why it's considered as offering it, other than you can now have the photographer add the digital pictures to the + card)

I'm still really confused about Photopass and looking for some help...

Do you have to purchase Photopass in order to buy individual pics taken throughout the park with Photopass photographers? For example, if I just would like 3 pics out of the bunch and have no interest in the cd? Also, can they be edited?

If you only want to purchase individual pictures taken inside the park, then no, you don't have to buy the CD (you can still get the regular photopass card for free, it's only when you want to buy the CD that it costs). I'm not sure if you can edit (add borders) for the park pictures at WDW. I'm pretty sure that at DLR, you're not given that option - you take the picture as is.

Pre-purchase of photopass is $119.95. I believe one individual picture is $9.95 at the park so if you end up finding 12 pictures you like, oops, you've already gone to the pre-purchase price.

You can also pre-purchase the photopass and end up not buying the CD (and get a refund).

If you wait to the parks to buy the photopass CD, it's $169.95 (which is the price of the pre-order for the + CD/voucher, which then comes with digital downloads of ride photos and dining photos, as well as print packages for the specific dining photos).

Would I be able to view the pics from home with the PP card number and then purchase at a later date? I think I read somewhere that the pics would be available for viewing/pruchase for 30 days? :confused3
