Are there any places where the kids meals come in cute keep able containers or drinks with fun straws or something?

I think most of the restaurants offer the light-up clip-ons. I think there's Tinkerbell and Buzz Lightyear.

At Restaurantasaurus in AK they serve kids hotdogs in sandpails with shovels. DS also got a blue plastic dolphin with his regular drink at Coral Reef and of course CRT has the swords, magic wands & wishing stars.

You get the pail and shovel at Hurricane hannah's as well at the BC. I saw at Toyko Dining the kids meals come in monorail shaped containers. I only saw them from afar so i don't really know what they were made of or if you could keep them and after having the worst meal of my life there I will probably never know, but it's a thought! P.s. the little light clips on the kid cups will set you back $7 and our daughters quit working a couple of hours later.

Most places have the cute little lights (lightning mcqueen or tinker bell) with a cup u can keep. The lights use a hearing aid battery, so u can just replace it if the light goes out. We still have lights/cups at home. Fun souvenir.

Just the question I wanted to know the answer to. Thanks for asking op :)

Does Tortuga Tavern have treasure chest that the meals come in? I was thinking I read that on here at one time, but cannot find out where.

I have also read about a power pack avaliable at HS. Can anyone confirm if comes in an R2D2 container or is that just for Star Wars Weekend?

And what meals can you get it with at Resturantsourus?

Also if these containers are avaliable are they includen in the meal while on the dining plan or do you have to pay extra for them?

I do know that the light up tinkerbell and buzz lightyear are $5.95 or $6.95 and come with gross lemonade, but you do get a cup, too. I always make sure to have them put a regular soft drink in the cup. I wish they would offer other characters.

I remember a long time ago when Sci-Fi used to serve their kids meals on glow in the dark Frisbee. Also I have cups that Epcot sit down restaurants gave kids drink in a hard plastic cup with lid and straw with Mickey and symbols from each country on it.

Disney has stopped many of those little special things.

All the kids meals at Resaurantosaurus are included, there is a brand new kids menu as of last week. Link from easywdw below. Keep in mind you can order without the pail/shovel for $2 less, so not really free.

The treasure chest that were at Tortuga have been missing for quite awhile no word on whether they are coming back or not.

The R2D2 boxes were for Star Wars weekends until they ran out, not sure if they are available in the picks anymore. HTH

Just wanted to post on Restaurantosaurus too - it's one of my family's go-to spots at AK. ALL of the kids meals come in the pail with the shovel - we use them to play at the boneyard in Dinoland.

We have had great experiences there, but last fall was especially memorable. I have a very picky little boy (just turned 3 at the time) who only wanted to eat chicken nuggets and fries (they weren't on the kids menu). He announced this while we were in line a few times. When it was our turned the cast member bent down to him and asked him what he'd like for lunch & he repeated his request. I said they don't have that and the CM winked at me & said "I think we can make that happen." My DS was thrilled, and even more so when he saw that he got a pail and shovel. I know it doesn't sound like much, but that really meant a lot to me for her to do that. :thumbsup2

Thanks! :) I will ask about the R2D2 when I get there and if they have it I will order a power pack, if not i won't, it is only for the R2D2 lol.

I wanted to know the same thing about the kids meals that come in fun sand pails etc. if they were included in the DDP.

At the end of November we saw a kids' power pack in a cute little Perry lunchbox at The Refreshment Port in The World Showcase in Epcot. It was adorable and had kid friendly snacks that were perfect!
