Yes. They close DL early for the Trick or Treating. We got so much candy I'm sure it was worth more than what we paid for two tickets. Plus the party is the only way to see the Halloween fireworks.

We had a blast last year and have tickets for the 15th of October.
We will be there for the party that night too!

Beth, did you decide whether or not to go to Knott's? Tickets are on sale now and Lisa is thinking about going the 18th, but now she is worried that it will be too scary. Do we have a plan for meeting up on the 19th?

Helllllllooooooo Divas! How's it going? I know, I know...I have been MIA from here for forever! I just want to go with you so much and know that is just not a possibility this year so I have been staying away for my own sanity! Anyway, does anyone here remember the LPF? Well, it's time to have one in the Pacific Northwest! Calling all interested Divas! I am having a movie marathon/sleepover at my house in Lynden, WA either October 27th or November 17th depending on the schedules of those interested in attending! Kandace from the Seattle area is helping me plan the event! More details will be forthcoming, for now I am just trying to figure out who all would like to come and which of those dates would work for you! So facebook me or pm me here and lets get this party started!

Hope all the rest of you divas are fantastic!

TTYL,
Sarah May

I just want to say that I'm loving your blog!!! It has solidified our plans for an October trip!! One would think it would provide a fix, but it just makes me want to hop on a plane right now!!!! I do love the witty comments too! :)

Thank you SO MUCH! What a lovely thing to hear! :goodvibes

We went to Mickey's Halloween Party last year. I was a bit disgruntled because as an APer, I was like "Really? I have to PAY to get into DL again?" But seriously, it was worth every penny! I blogged about it here. Bottom line was, the candy was great, the parade was cute, the fireworks were AMAZING (seriously, second-best show after Remember...). I would totally do it again.

I got your mail again Beth. This time from Pep Boys.
Okay, Trudi, this is getting too weird! Cue the Twilight Zone theme music...

Welcome back Beth!!!! :welcome: :yay::banana::woohoo::dance3::cheer2::jumping1: :jumping3::jumping2::Pinkbounc:bounce::wave:

Hope all your doctor visits go well today.
Awww, thanks!! As for the Dr. visits, I'll have several days of waiting before I know anything...you know how that goes. :rolleyes2

Welcome back Beth!! Glad you enjoyed the train ride! It really is a great way to get to see the country & relax....I find it hard to relax sometimes though...too much to do! :)
Thanks! I know what you mean. In a way, it was nice to be on the train and forced to sit back and relax.

We're still undecided if we'll do the halloween trick or treat tickets though. We did it a couple of times at DCA, but have not done it at DL. Daughter said she didn't think we needed to, but wondering if it's better now that it's at DL. Do they close the park to people without those tickets? Seems lame to have to pay $50 as a Premium Annual passholder

Feedback welcome! :)
I've been to the party once in DL, and while I am glad we went, and would recommend going once, I doubt I'll go again. My kids just aren't all that into it. :confused3

:rotfl2: A girl can try :rotfl2:

Tie dye and tiaras. Yeah. That's what we need. :rotfl:
Well, you got it half right. :rolleyes1

Hi, Carol. Yep, we are going to Knotts on the 18th. We are doing the pre-scare boo-fet, too. It's good, and nice to get in a bit early. I don't think it will be too scary. They have many mazes to choose from, and this year for their 40th anniversary they'll have more shows. I'm looking forward to it. She should definitely go.

Sounds like a blast, Sarah! Hope you get lots of ladies to join you. :thumbsup2

I wish I was close enough to join you. I haven't been to a sleepover since I was a teen. Such fun times! Be sure to take lots of pics to show us! Do you have a theme?
Okay, Trudi, this is getting too weird! Cue the Twilight Zone theme music...

I just wondering what will come next. Hope you don't subscribe to anything naughty. :rotfl:

Hello, ladies!!
Wow, super quiet here this weekend. Hopefully that means everyone is out enjoying their weekend. :goodvibes
Mine was spent restocking the kitchen after our 3 weeks away. And, getting the last bit of school supplies we needed. Not a whole lot of fun, but necessary.

I was excited to see one of the grocery stores putting out their Halloween candy, and Walmart had Bounty Halloween napkins, of all things. lol Plus, Bath and Body has a bunch of their Halloween items out already. :yay: :cool1: I love it! :teeth:

Sometime next month I'll be starting sign-ups for the Halloween exchange! So, if you are interested in playing along again this year, or joining for the first time, keep an eye out for that. :)

TTYL!

Hello everyone! How are your weekends going?

Welcome back from your trip Beth! Looks like you all had a great time! :)

We are having a great weekend. I just wish it wasn't almost over already. I love my new job so much, but I also like family time too, and it seems like there just isn't enough of it sometimes.

Yesterday we had some friends over for a yummy steak dinner, then played some cards and had some drinks after the kiddo went to bed. Then today we took the little man to the Reptile Show. He had a blast petting the snakes and a bearded dragon. I really am thinking about getting a beardy. Dillon had one when we first started dating, and he was so awesome. So I think it's something we are going to start thinking about getting. They are just a little pricey starting out, so we will see. And I also don't like having bugs in the house to feed him. Bleh!

Busy weekend here! We've got our DD, Violet, on the way, so we need to move DS out of her room and into another, which is currently an office. So that requires moving the office stuff somewhere else, which requires moving THOSE things somewhere else, and a lot of visits to Goodwill, and so on and so forth. Saturday we went to Ikea to get a new Big Boy Bed for DS and he's totally thrilled about it. Today we had a bon voyage party for a 20yo who's spending a semester in London, then we swung by the hardware store to look at paint chips for DS and DD's rooms. DS has decided on "yellow" (he's 3.5 so we're taking his suggestion as a general rule). We've decided to put the Cars Land attraction posters up as decoration, so we need to hop over to the park to buy those and then see which yellow compliments them.

Also, what do I do with all of this ridiculous cut crystal I got for our wedding 11 years ago??? It's stuff we have NEVER used, and some of it I totally forgot about. But it seems too expensive (Waterford and such) to just give to Goodwill. What should I do with it? Ebay?

Morning all. Beth glad you had fun on your trip. Sounded wonderful.

Sarah what a fun idea. Wish I lived up your way how fun that would be!!

Things are super busy here. Starting our third week of school today and things are getting rolling. We had jamboree Saturday which is a new experience for me. It is so weird after 8 years of soccer to NOT be doing anything soccer and learning a whole new sport. Katy's group did good with their cheers and this coming weekend is their first real game and they will be wearing their cheer outfits for the first time so excited about that. Will be a long day though as I have to volunteer for the game before and then their game is 2 hours. Girls also have a min day on THurs for back to school and then have fri and mon off. Wish we could go somewhere but can't with the game being sat afternoon. So hoping to maybe go to a movie or something but otherwise that's bout it.

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and has a good week!

Good morning, ladies! Monday morning....and in our house anyway, back to school. :sad2: And, back to work for Ruben. It's eerily quiet in here. I've been so used to having everyone around, especially the last three weeks when we were all on vacation and had not only our family, but all my extended family there as well. Anyway, it's weird.

I think I'll find a way to keep busy this morning. Cleaning, for sure, and maybe add more trip photos to Facebook. So far, I've only got our departing train trip, and day one posted. This could take awhile! LOL

Have a fantastic day, everyone!

You do sound busy! But, it all sounds exciting as well. I love the Carsland idea. :thumbsup2

Good luck figuring out what to do with the crystal. I've never used Ebay but I know many people have success with it.

Morning all. Beth glad you had fun on your trip. Sounded wonderful.
Thanks, it was fun. Glad to hear your girls are doing well so far with school and cheer! :cheer2:

Hi, Sarah! Hope you are doing well. :flower3: Are you all pumped up and excited for the upcoming marathon? We'll be cheering you on...virtually of course. :)

Thanks Beth. Yeah I know what you mean about it being quiet but I have to say at least for now it has been nice ;) My girls were really starting to get on eachother's nerves and fighting and bickering so it is kind of nice to have some "me" time again :)

I thought about you the other day as I am getting some of my fall stuff out. Know how much you love halloween and such and I am getting more and more that way myself. I have those bulb air fresheners from bath and body and I got some fall scents like caramel apple and pumpkin and my house smells so good and fallish LOL. And I have slowly started putting a few "fall" decs out. Not halloween stuff but just autumn stuff. It is nice too that our weather has cooled off. Makes it seem more real.

Exciting that the exchange is coming up. Have to look over my finances but I am really going to try and participate this year because it is SO fun!

Have a GREAT day!! :)

Hello everyone! :yay:

Wow, I haven't been here in a while. Guess I've been Facebooking too much and not Disboarding enough. ;)

Our kids start school next Tuesday. I still need to get their school supplies, but I think they're ready other than that. Ryan is going to the middle school's 7th grader open house this Weds and he is very excited. He'll get his class schedule, locker assignment and combo, and be able to tour the school to find all of his classes. He'll also be able to practice opening his locker. Crossing fingers he'll be able to do it so we don't have to get him a keyed lock. He hates anything that makes him "different" than everyone else. Frankly, I'm glad he cares about stuff like that. It's normal, you know? :thumbsup2

Ryan is also back on Ensure Plus. Poor kid is just so thin and underweight. I don't understand why. He eats a lot. Maybe his body just isn't able to retain the fat/nutrients from the food he eats? :confused3

Hating that summer is ending. We weren't able to go boating/camping on Lake Roosevelt or Upper Priest Lake like we had planned. Ran out of time...well basically Justin's work schedule got in the way - haha! Oh well, next year I guess.

Hoping to make it to Sarah's Sleepover! I think it will be a lot of fun! And if Deb can go, I can swing by and pick her up on the way. Girls road trip! :woohoo:

Hi strangers!

I'm just checking in, as it's been quite some time since I've been on the Dis. The new iPad ap makes it easier, so I'm hoping to check in more often.

Marty got a promotion at work today, so things are happy around here right now! For me, things are pretty much the same. Still catering, and keeping decently busy. My sis in law got married a few weeks ago, and I coordinated it. Wow, that is a ton of work! I have a couple of weddings coming up over the course of the next few months, and I'm relieved that I'll only be doing the food!

I'm looking forward to finally seeing the completed DCA in a couple of weeks. I've been having Disney withdrawals!!!

I hope you're all doing well. Welcome to the new ladies! This is a fun group!!

Hey hey.....busy weekend here, went boating Saturday, we rented skis and a wake board, the kids all tried skiing! I was super excited for them, they were amazing. Jade & Cassidy got up for seconds, the other 2 girls got up for even less seconds. LOL But they all had fun with it and that's what counted. We also had the tube so we hauled them around on the tube as well. :)
Yesterday we went to Sacramento and went to different fish stores, we bought some fish and corals for our tank and got some really good deals. :) Then we did dinner with friends, it was a good weekend but busy and exhausting.
Tonight I have class, should be fun! :)

Ebay is one option. Another is replacements.com. They are where I found some replacement pieces for my retired china pattern. Here is a link: http://replacements.com/misc/packship.htm

I spent today mostly in Laundry Hell. LOL Add in grocery shopping and taking on the aphid infestation in my back yard and you pretty much have my day. LOL

What is the Halloween exchange?
