Hi Everyone!!

Welcome to my new TR. This is my 2nd TR on the Dis and my 2nd cruise TR. Some of you may be thinking what’s with the name. Well, throughout the trip, we had a lot of delays, chaos and confusion. Yes, this all happened in one trip.

For those of you who didn't read my previous TR, here's all about my family:

Me- A soon to be junior in high school. In school, I am apart of two special needs clubs and class council and is so school spirited. I love Disney, boy bands, and meeting celebrities.

Mom- A wonderful mom to my sister and I who loves her daughters and Disney.

Sister- My twin sister who is going to be a senior in high school. :scared1: She loves Doctor Who, Merlin, the British TV shows and Disney. She is the older twin. She is apart of Drama Club in school.

Dad- A UCLA lover, where two of my college friends go to.

Up Next: A 4 hour flight becomes a 12 hour flight: will we get to JFK? What's going on?

Stay tuned to find out

Hi WDWJonasGirl...

I am looking forward to reading your TR and hearing all about your trip!

Looking forward to your TR. I hope you had a great time in spite of chaos, confusion and delays.;)

The day finally came. My parents woke me up at 4:30 in the morning to have breakfast and take the shuttle to my local airport, LAX. There, we checked our suitcases and went through security. After all of that fun stuff, we had a long walk to gate 35. We had about an hour and a half before we boarded our plane so I took pictures around the terminal. Eventually, we boarded the plane where it left at 7:35. During the flight, I listened to music on my iPod, watched Kidsongs and My Friends Tigger and Pooh on my iPod and watched Disney Channel on the TVs they have on the plane. The shows that were there were Good Luck Charlie, Phineas and Ferb, Jessie, Austin & Ally and ANT Farm.

About an hour before we were to descend at JFK, the flight crew announced that JFK had been shut down because of storms. :furious: Also, we were running out fuel so we had to land in Philadelphia. We waited to get the plane fueled and things didn’t get better. As we got in line to take off, we discovered that there were sixteen, yes sixteen :scared1: planes in front of us. Eventually, we did take off to JFK. Twenty minutes later, we finally landed at JFK. :yay: Everybody started cheering during that time. After getting off the plane, we took a bus to get to the terminal where baggage claim was.

After getting our baggage, we took the Air Train to get our rental car. We got lost during our drive. At one point, we found a sign that said that Junior’s Cheesecake was going to be on the next exit. We were in Brooklyn where we couldn’t find it. :sad2: We continued to drive until we got to somewhere in New Jersey. At that point, it was 11 at night and we haven’t eaten dinner yet. We stopped at a Roy Rogers where I had the best bacon cheeseburger. We continued to drive and finally arrived at our hotel in Philadelphia at 1 or 2 in the morning.

Up Next: A late start and Many Closed Signs

Will we wake up early or get up late? What's with all of these closed signs?

Stay tuned to find out

Great report so far, hope your trip got better!!! Too bad you couldn't just grab a car when you landed in Philadelphia!!!

Thank you!! While in Philadelphia, they wouldn't let us off the plane. :furious: We would be there anyways but our rental car was at JFK.

After being up for 20 hours the day before, we got up at 12:00 noon. After getting ready, we walked to the City Tavern which reminded me of Liberty Tree Tavern at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. It was really good. Along the way, we looked around. We didn't know this but because it was Sunday, many of the things we wanted to go to we're closed. :sad2: we continued walking around until we found an ice cream place to eat for dinner. Yes, we are that crazy. We made a stop at a grocery store before heading back to our hotel.

Up Next: Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, will we get to Hershey?

Stay tuned to find out

The next day, we woke up and went to Independence Hall. It was nice although we have one at Knott’s Berry Farm. Our tour guide was nice and took us around the east bend. We went through the west bend and went to the visitor’s center. We also went to the Liberty Bell where it was small. Along the way, we went to the Constitution Center and the visitor center before heading back to our hotel to get our stuff. On our way there, we stopped at the Redding Terminal Market and the Benjamin Franklin Institute museum. We got into traffic on our way to Hershey and had a quick dinner at our hotel. I was really impressed with Hershey so far.

Up Next: Will I get to ride the roller coasters at Hershey Park?, What's Chocolate World like?, What there's a storm?

Stay Tuned to Find Out

ANNOUNCEMENT: I start school tomorrow :sad2: :teacher: so I might not update.

just one thing - you may have a replica of Independence Hall at Knott's Berry Farm but in Philadelphia you visited the actual building where men like Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson actually stood some 236 years ago and forged this great country. You walked where they walked. I love visiting actual historical sights.

Before I update day 4, I started school today and wanted to tell you guys all about it.

Since it's the first day, we went to the gym to get our schedules. Not only that, we also got a shirt. It's white, says "sea hawks 1" on the front and on the back, it says R U in?, and has a Seahawk (my school mascot). It was in red writing. After that, I went to art but I was late because I didn't know where my art class was. I did find it when my teacher took roll. Later that day, we had a rally which was Olympic themed. It was so cool. Lunch came and then it was 5th and 6th period.

Yup - that's Philadelphia, my local airport. Always backed up taking off or landing.

Very cool that your family obviously decided to visit the East Coast prior to your cruise. Hope you enjoyed Hershey. It's a nice park.

Hi there, I hope you enjoyed your first day of school as much as we are enjoying your trip report. You seem like such a lovely and sweet natured girl. I hope when my girls get to be your age, they have them same appreciation and enthusiasm that you share for life in your TR's.

July 31, 2012- Hershey with storms

The next day, we went to Hersheypark, which was our first day in Hershey. We ate breakfast at our hotel and took a shuttle to the park, since we were staying at a hotel there. Once we got in the park, we headed to Hospitality Services to get my guest assistance book. After that stop, we all went on Skyrush, Hersheypark’s newest roller coaster. I loved it even though at times, I thought I’d fall out. Since we were in the area, we also went on the Super Dooper Looper and Comet, one of the wooden roller coasters they have there.

By this time, we headed to the area next to where the coasters we had just been on to meet up with this family we had met through Disney’s Virtual Magic Kingdom before it closed down in May 2008. :cool1: They also brought the wife’s brother, sister in law and baby son. Their daughter, my sister and I went on Skyrush. After the ride, I realized that my guest assistance book had fallen out during the ride :scared1: so my dad and I went to hospitality services to get a new one. As soon as we returned with the new one, we went on the Great Bear, a roller coaster that was like the Dragon Challenge at Universal Florida’s Islands of Adventure. Since we were in the area, we decided to go on the Kissing Tower. I loved seeing Hershey from so high. Along the way, our friend’s daughter, my sister and I went on this car ride before having lunch.

After lunch, we all went on the monorail. This was when I discovered that my stuffed Perry the Platypus was scared of the Hershey characters. My sister, my mom, our friend’s family, the brother and I went on the Lightning Racer and Wildcat, the latter being so bumpy. By this time, we decided to go to Chocolate World since it was in the same area as the park. I loved the ride that took you through the factory. We even got free chocolates at the end of the ride. We hung out at Chocolate World for a while and returned to the park. There, my mom, our friend’s wife and daughter and I went on Stormrunner. It reminded me of Rockin Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While we were in the area, we went to a jukebox show that involved music from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s. I loved this show since I got to listen to this stuff in PE. On our way to dinner, our friend and I went on this roller coaster called Farenheight. Everyone else stayed off and watched us. It was like Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios in Florida. After we got off, we had dinner and there was a storm coming in. What?! :furious: Since it was raining so hard, we went to cover in a barn restaurant. Once the storm was clear, we headed out after some shopping of course.

Up Next: Gettysburg, Buffets, Movies

Will we get to Gettysburg?, What movies will we be seeing?

Stay tuned to find out.
