I am one of those people!!!
Well, at least that’s what they told me upon my arrival here in Florida. Let’s start with a basic introduction shall we?
For those of you who haven’t read one of my several TR yet, my name is Alicia
I am 23 years old and a recent college graduate with my Bachelors in Fine Arts (I was a theatre performance major with a costuming/design tech minor). I can be best described in a few words: Disney Addict, free spirited, and child at heart. This is the story of my biggest undertaking to date!!! I guess you can say I am taking on the adventure of a lifetime which goes perfect with the new attitude I have adopted since graduating college and is brought to you by a familiar movie Up, that slogan being “Adventure is out there!!!”
I guess you are probably wondering what this little report here is about huh? Well when I was younger, around the age of five or six I set a goal for myself, which was, become a Disney Cast Member. From the moment I was born I have been devouring, consuming and digesting all things Disney. When I reached college I was set on participating in the Disney College program but for more than one reason I was unable to do so. If you want the truth of the matter I went to college with that specific goal that I had to attain to feel complete. I will admit that when I introduced myself at college and people would ask what I wanted to do with my life and I said “DISNEY!!!” I received more than a few strange glances but I did not let that get me down. Over the years people really got to know me and realize that I had a true love for Disney, a kind that would eventually take me to Florida no matter how hard I had to work to do so. All throughout college I was known as the Disney Girl, I was the go to for any questions anyone ever had about the program and even vacations. Which is why when I applied for the program the last semester of my senior year everyone was ecstatic for me when I was accepted. This is what I have been talking about for literally as long as I can remember!!! And it’s actually happening for me, I am an actual Disney Cast Member. I am literally beside myself at this point I am SO grateful to have been given the opportunity and I can’t wait to get started.
This is just a way for me to keep tabs and write down memories of all the amazing things that happen during the experience. It is also here for anyone looking to do the program to learn from, people to come and go as the please and follow along on my journey. The Disbaords have connected me with so many amazing and supportive people and I am really so grateful. I just wanted to thank everyone on here who has loyally followed along with my old TRs and PTRs (if you are interested in those I will post the links below). Everyone that I have met so far has been so supportive and made this such a smooth transition for me. It’s amazing to feel like I have people all over backing me up on this HUGE endeavor. I want to thank everyone for their endless support and help.
I look forward to sharing this next adventure with you and I hope that you enjoy reading long with me!!! I would like to say off the bat that this is a LIVE report. I am actually living in Florida as we speak, it’s not something that I am doing have complete the program so I will be learning and sharing along the way. Once I get into full work mode I’m not sure how often I will be able to update but I will do my best to keep everyone up to speed by checking in from time to time, which means there may be a lack of pictures so please bare with me!!!
Thank you all once again for your support, guidance and encouragement. I can’t wait to see what the Disney College Program has in store for me
