Ok...thanks...I was thinking 6pm so I'm definitely glad I asked...we'll plan on being there by 5:30. Thanks again :thumbsup2

just did my online check in!! We arrive in 10 days :thumbsup2 Question regarding online check in....I have done online check in for other trips and I know there is a field that you can put in requests etc, but this time, when I click on the button to add a request, it never gives me a field to put in my request :badpc: Has anyone else had this problem recently? Not a huge deal but I had wanted to put in a request to get a room in a specific bldg (I know it's not guaranteed)I guess I can call and put the request on my reservation over the phone. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

10 days!! can't wait!!

The same thing happened to me a few days ago, as well. Today, when I was on the phone with Disney, she happened to mention that the computer systems were undergoing a huge enhancement this week. I wonder if that's where the glitch is coming from.

My sister and I are stay at POFQ Sept. 9 - 15. This is my sister first trip and we don’t have any special needs. As this is my first time staying at POFQ, are there any request I should make or you would recommend for our check in?

Any advice would be appreciated.

K

I figured it was some sort of glitch...no big deal though! The resort is small enough I think that any building will be fine I'm sure. Have a great trip!

I would recommend this resort.

We just came back from a 9 night stay and we enjoyed it. It was quiet (a need for me) but still had plenty of activities. The pool is nice and the room was spotless. I LOVE the fountains and walkways plus the walk to Riverside (still my favorite but barely) is super. The doorman is a sweetheart and the gift shop is adequate.

We weren't overly impressed with the food court but Disney food courts in general don't thrill us. The bus service was spotty but there was always a CM out there tracking the buses so maybe that's a work in progress.

Yes, I'll gladly recommend this resort to anyone. I'll stay there again.

I keep seeing bad reviews about the POFQ CS food. Is it really that bad? What items would you recommend we eat there for lunch/dinner? What should we stay away from? Thanks.

I always stay at POFQ, and I find everything at the food court fine except for their eggs/omelettes at breakfast. Sometimes they're okay, and other times they're like rubber. I think they're powdered eggs, because they taste nothing like real ones! If you get breakfast there take a look at the food at each station before you order. Mickey waffles might be a better option. Or beignets! Yum.

About a week ago, I got the gumbo which was strange and DS hated his burger and fries. I'll try more but it wasn't a good night.

I believe I might have mentioned this earlier on this thread after we returned from our Feb trip, but I thought it was cute, so will do so again:

My husband and I took our 3 y/o GS down there this past Feb and stayed at POFQ. My outgoing little grandson immediately made friends with the doorman. Every morning when we left, the doorman would hand him one of those coins and we'd have to go back in, so my GS could throw it in the fountain, before we left for the day. Then as we walked back out past him, they'd give each other the thumbs up sign. Then we'd come back after lunch for a break and the doorman would give him another coin to throw in the fountain. Sometimes he also gave him stickers. Anyway, one day we spent all day in the parks and didn't get back until night time. My GS looked around and asked "Where's my man". We told him we were later coming in than usual and the man was probably off duty. My GS gave us a disgusted look and asked "Why would he leave? He knew I was coming back. I told him so this morning. He wouldn't leave without telling me. He's my friend.":rotfl: When we left out the next morning, my grandson asked, "Where where you last night? I missed you". The very nice door man apologized and told him he had an emergency, but was sorry, and he'd missed him too. He then winked at us.:rotfl:

I don't know if it is still on the menu, but back in 2009 I had very yummy pot roast.

We recently had to upgrade to a River View room to keep our free dining.
I've read that some people are bothered by the horn on the ferry boats.
What would be the best location to avoid that and yet still be close to the pool?
Building 6 or 1 possibly?
TIA

We've been in both Building 5 & 6 on the river and while we heard the horns, it wasn't bothersome at all. I did hear that they are more noticeable in Building 1.
