I think the title says it all. I want to be fluffy no more! I will be 31 this year and have struggled all of my life with my weight. Up, down, up, down, and lately it's been up up up up. I weight more now than the day I gave birth to my 3.5 year old. Needless to say, it's out of hand.

About 7.5 years ago I started to get my act together because I knew that I would be getting engaged soon and wanted a jump start on weight loss. I did weight watchers and step classes at the gym and lost about 60 lbs. I was 130 on my wedding day! Fast forward to present day and I'm around 210 and I'm only 5foot 4. Yikes!

I did WW about a year ago and tried doing it on line with a friend, we both lost about 20 lbs and gained it back. Her and I are too much of the same type of person, health wise I think we are toxic for each other. We talk about it constantly and how we are going to change, how this time will be different, etc. well, all this talk and we are both overweight and desperately need a swift kick to our big butts! I know of one of us really succeeds it would help the other tremendously and I hope this will be the time for us!

It doesn't help that my husband loves to eat junk and is skinny as a rail! He is very supportive but I always seem to forget I can't eat the same stuff he does or it will be with me forever. I'm so careful about what my son eats so that he is healthy and I want to be a good example for him. I honestly feel like his pediatrician probably is silently judges me when they ask about his diet and eating habits during check ups. Who is going to believe that the overweight mom feeds her kid right? Well, I do. I may let him have 1/2 a muffin but then I turn around and eat 2. You know how it goes. I want better for him than for myself but I won't be able to keep doing that if I fall over dead.

I need a goal to work for (my wedding was an amazing goal!) so I decided that I want to walk the Princess 1/2. Running just seems crazy for me and I'd rather have an obtainable goal and them finish the Princess and say, next year I'm going to run it, instead of I wish I would have walked and been able to finish. I'd like to do it in 2013 but I'm not sure if I will be ready or not.

I hope to sign up for WW in the next few days, I missed the only Saturday meetings they had, closed today and tomorrows meeting i can't find a sitter for. I'm hoping Tuesday will work out.

I went for my first walk today, 2.06 miles in 37:07. Considering I haven't been doing anything, I am proud I started.

I hope you will join me in my journey to get healthy and hopefully complete the princess!

I'm also trying to cut out caffeine. I am not a coffee drinker but I drink way too much diet soda. I will have to taper off because If I go cold turkey I get horrible headaches.

Well, prove them wrong! You are totally in control of how this all goes. All successes will be completely up to you. :-)

Had a long day in the city today with my son's allergist appointment, they took us back 35 mins after his apt time! We were there forever! He needed to have his scratch test repeated because it's been 2 years since his first work up. No change in his peanut or tree nut, they are still bad :-(

I walked .53 of a mile with my son (he rode his bike) and then later on I did 1.14 miles in 19:17 then I had to stop and go make dinner and feed the family. After dinner I went back out and walked 1.28 miles in 21:27.

Tomorrow morning my mom is going to babysit my son so I can go join WW. I'm excited! I just keep picturing crossing the finish line of the Princess and get that medal around my neck!

I joined WW this morning! There was only 3 of us there! One lady was a huge Negative Nelly and I can see how she could seriously bring the class down! She only been there for 3 weeks, she lost 8 lbs the first week, 3.5 the second and 1.4 this week. She was really bent about "such a small loss". She thought she was going to have big #'s every week. The leader tried and tried to get her to realize that she was doing great and her first 2 weeks were awesome and probably more than she should have lost, but it was useless. She said she was ready to hang herself. It was really sad because I think she needs serious help.

Anywho, I did well with my points today. I didn't get to walk because we went to my in laws on a spur of the moment trip and got home too late.

Due to my husbands vacation time at work the Princess 2013 is officially not an option. So if the same stuff is offered next year, my choices are TOT 10 miler (benefit MNSSHP which we haven't been too) W&D 1/2 (MVMCP which my son LOVES the toy soldiers in the parade and I love Christmas time there plus cooler temps) or wait for Princess 2014 (run through MK but then there is the chance of snow causing a travel delay because I'm in NJ).

The Princess is what I really want to do but that would mean the longest wait for a trip, but it's the earliest race and I think getting up at 2 am may make things more difficult because I like my sleep!

Currently I'm leaning towards W&D 1/2. Thoughts?

We decided the best would probably be to do the Wine and Dine 1/2 since Nov is our favorite time to go anyway. Plus by not doing the princess right away it gives me another goal to shoot for (and an excuse to get back to WDW sooner). Nov 2013, 1/2 marathon here I come!

I stayed within my points today and did well! The only thing that is a huge hit to my points is I like regular vanilla yogurt. I can't stand the taste of the artificial sugar in yogurt. Drinking crystal light doesn't bother me (actually I love it!) but the artificial sugar in yogurt is yucky! I'm only eating 1/2 a cup in the morning and if I find I have a lot of points at night, I have another 1/2 cup.

I walked 2 miles in 34:37 mins tonight.

I just did 2.10 miles in 34:17 mins! I even jogged a little this time. I would jog past 2 houses and then walk a while, jog a few more houses and walk, etc. slow and steady will get me there!

I did good with my points today. I took my son to my parents house and even took a healthy, point friendly lunch for us all! I still have a few points left that I plan on using on some yummy dessert. Probably a WW ice cream or I may have some cereal and milk.

I just realized I Have about 14-15 months to train for the 1/2. I can't wait to do it! My son even wants to do the kid races! I'm so glad that I'm going to be a positive role model for him in the exercise department!

Subbing on to read your journal! :) I would absolutely have chose the W&D 1/2! I've thought about running that one as well, it's a great time of year to be at WDW!

I ate my points today, finished every one I had and did not go over. I didn't walk today because my husband got home too late but I did have DS in the pool for over an hour and it was freezing, so that has to count for something, right?!? I will have time this weekend to walk/jog both days.

I got my walk/jog in this morning because we may go our town's movie night, they are showing The Lorax which we have not seen yet. I did 1.84 miles in 30:12. I wanted to make it to 2 miles but I was getting really hot because of the humidity.

The rain cancelled movie night and I ended up dipping into 2 of my flex points. I was trying not to but I was hungry. I still have 5 points left for tonight, I'm trying to decide how I want to use them. I told my husband I feel like a kid at the prize counter at the arcade trying to figure out how to spend my tickets!

I made my weight loss jars (thanks to a suggestion on here!). They are sitting on my ledge above the kitchen sink, I can't wait to weight in on Tuesday at WW so I can start moving the stones.

I did not walk today, but tomorrow I will start the conditioning plan from Jeff Galloway.

I went to use my treadmill today since DH won't be home before its dark out and I don't have the safety key :-( I was given the treadmill for free before we moved and I don't know if we lost the key (it sat in storage for a few months) or we didn't get it. I'm going to try and rig something and if not buy a replacement.

Today did not go as planned, at all and its only 9:15! My car needed an oil change and our mechanic is by my parents about 20 mins away. I woke up at 6, got my stuff together, woke up my poor sleepy 3 year old (thankfully he wakes up awesome even if he's not ready!). It was raining super hard this morning. Dropped my son off at my parents, dropped my car off, borrowed my moms car and went to get bloodwork done (just regular stuff). The lady was gentle but rude, but I guess I'll take gentle over polite!

I planned to do my walk/jog in between bloodwork and WW since my parents were already babysitting for me. Came home, ready to eat some breakfast and then go out. Went to unlock my door and realized I didn't have my house keys! Totally killed all of my plans for the morning!
