When Ducks Attack&Monorails Don't Work! A July '12 TR **new 3/17

Sorry I've been MIA, but I was in Disney and just got back the other day! Sounds like a fun morning in Epcot! I def need to try Lotus Blossom Cafe! I normally love MS, but I got stuck on it for 15 minutes before they started, but after they close the doors and lock ya in there! Your Minnie ears are so cute! I got the regular mickey ears, but not I think I'm regretting my decision after seeing your pics. Oh well! Bummer about the long commute back to your resort.

I am loving your trip report so far!!! By the way, youre minnie mouse ears are so cute!:goodvibes

Thanks! I looooooooove my minnie ears, I also brought silver ones just like it, but I never did wear them during the trip

Whoa, I hope you had a great trip! I'll go check out your TR :-)
That sounds like a bummer place to get stuck for fifteen minutes, I've never really been stuck on a ride that long before
Thank you, I am in love with those Minnie ears :-)

Looks like you guys picked some good food options. I've never been to the China pavilion for a meal and I love the food from the Mexican pavilion so I think I might have to try the Lotus Blossom Cafe fried rice. A shame you had to leave and run into the Brazilian tour groups. YUCK!

Wow, you really did not have any luck with the monorail on this trip. The pictures your brother got are really nice though. Everything looks so much more photogenic from up there no matter how photogenic they may already be.

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

LBC's fried rice is delicious, you should defiantly try it!
I agree, pictures just turn out so much cooler when you're on the monorail :-)

July 6th, 2012

Once we made it back to our room, we quickly got our bathing suits on because house keeping had not yet come by and we wanted to be out of their way when they got there.

We got seats in the shade

And my parents went to fill up everyone's mugs!

I went in the pool to cool down... but I'm VERY OCD about my hair, I hate getting it wet because it's so much work to dry and style it and I like to have it perfect. So I made sure not to go to deep

The boys, however, jumped right in and swam all over the place

They also loved the slide (which I didn't go on the whole trip, I guess I'm not a fan of water slides lol)
095-1.jpg

It was such a beautiful day out

Johnny and Joey got a volleyball and played with my dad

I decided to join in, to make even teams, plus it looked like fun

I'm not too good when it comes to hitting it back over the net, but I can actually serve it pretty well!

Throughout the time at the pool, we would check back at the room to see if housekeeping was done, but they didn't come/weren't done until 4:30.
By then we were all pretty tired from being out in the sun all day and swimming, so we relaxed for a bit in the room.
We decided against going to a park this night, like originally planned, because we were just pooped!

We agreed on having dinner at the hotel, The Contempo Cafe! My new all time favorite resort quick service! It's sooooo good and I loved everything I ever ate there!
It's really cool, you order your food on the touch screens, then pay for it, and they give you one of these things that buzz when your food is ready
DSC03035.jpg

And then you go pick up your food, it's very neat

Our food was ready pretty quickly
I had the Multigrain Turkey BLT - cheddar, bacon, and vine-ripe tomatoes on multigrain bread with lime-cilantro aioli
DSC03037.jpg

Minus the tomatoes :p
It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo yummy!

Both the boys got Cheese Flatbreads
DSC03038.jpg

My mom got Pasta with Chicken Basil Creme Sauce

My dad got Pasta with Marinara Sauce

Everything looked very yummy

After dinner we looked around the gift shops

These mugs were very interesting
One side said something good, the other said something "bad"

My parents came by and said they were going to go on a walk, so I joined them.
Stopping at this first

We walked down to the pier

My parents went to sit down but I stayed on the pier so I could get this shot, but with the monorail in it
148.jpg

So I stood there and waited and waited for the monorail to come by. And while I was standing there, a boy who looked like he was two or three years younger than me walked by me and said "sup" to me. At first I was confused if he was talking to me, because I couldn't tell if he was looking at me or not (because I can't see the best more than ten feet away from me without my glasses oops lol) so I just gave him a weird look and he keeps walking by and goes "okay then"
Whoops, that was awkward! Sorry, random kid!

We all went back to the room, showered, and relaxed because we would be waking up early again tomorrow!

Up Next: Will He Love It??

great update and pics.

CR looks so nice.

That is a good place to eat only been once but enjoyed it.

Great update, Sarah. I enjoyed seeing all your pictures from y'alls swimming afternoon and your stroll around CR after dinner. :)

Ooh, volleyball does look like fun. I love volleyball. :thumbsup2

Great pictures from around the resort. It looks awesome. Love the sky in the last couple!

Heading down to Disney in just over 100 days, Just looking at your report gets me excited already!

July 7th, 2012

We were up early again this morning, we ate our usual breakfast in the room and were soon out the door!

In my notes, I wrote down that there were "crazies on the bus" but I can't remember what happened lol

Hollywood Studios!

We went straight for Rock N Rollercoaster! (While my dad went to get TSM FPs)

Joey was gonna go on it for the first time :O If you watched my trip video in the first post, it includes his reaction while waiting in line seeing RNRC take off for the first time.

Of course Johnny and I rode together, and we got the verrrrrrrry last row!

Joey ended up loving it, yay :-)

Not sure why we were sitting down here, but we were

After RNRC we walked by the Great Movie Ride, which was just about to open, so we stood outside with a few other families for a couple minutes.

At this point, my camera died D: so I had to make sure Johnny, who was using my parent's camera, took a picture of everything I needed

I did take this on my iTouch but then it died so...

After a trip through the movies (which we got to be on the first ride of the day!) we decided we wanted to draw some characters!
012-1.jpg

We didn't wait long... but we ended up having to use the drawing boards, we didn't sit at actual seats, but it was kind of better that way. We were first row, so I could see really well, and you could turn your paper
But the best part was, we got to draw Flynn Rider!
