On the Eastern (not sure about Western) Formal Night is Sunday.

Main (or early as it is sometimes called) is 5:45. Your show would then be about 8:30.

That's up to you. Main seating is more popular with young families, since kids have trouble staying awake for the later seating.

The late seating is more in line with our west-coast time zone, but it also means we go to bed on a very full stomach.

My kids will stay up late...just wondered if there were an advantages of one time over the other? I was reading something before about it determining your breakfast on check out day but can find that thread again...there so much to read I need months of uninterrupted time!

We much prefer late dining at 8:15. We like to go to the show before dinner and do other things after dinner until bed time.

We have long since skipped our last breakfast in the dining room. My own feeling is that it is too rushed and a lot of chaos in the dining rooms the last morning. We now just go up to the buffet on the pool deck and have breakfast there and then head to our cabin to pick up our carryons bags and leave the ship.

This way we are not hauling all our stuff to breakfast. You must be vacated from your cabin by 8:00 am regardless of what time your breakfast is.

1st dinner seating = 1st breakfast on debarkation day, about 6:45 am

2nd dinner seating = 2nd breakfast on debarkation day about 8 am

in the same restaurant you had dinner in on your last night. If you ate in Palo, Cabanas, or Remy on your last night then it is the MDR you would have eaten in on your last night.

If you have 2nd dinning and need the early breakfast, Cabanas is an option or talk to your server to see if you can switch to the early breakfast. We had no problem switching to the early breakfast but we weren't on a full ship either.

Formal night is your first sea day and semiformal is your last sea day on most cruises. Alaska has been the only one that was different for us.
