Condo rental in Cape Canaveral

Has anyone rented a condo (VRBO - Vacation Rental By Owner) in the Cape Canaveral area ?

We are looking at staying 3-4 nights before our cruise next July and the condo seems to be most cost effective with our large family.

but what we did was one of those timeshare tours to get basically like a condo at a big discounted price . alot of people do not like this but i feel if you are up for one you can stay somewhere nice

Which timeshare did you tour? How long was the tour and how many nights did you stay free? DH and I did one a few years ago, sadly we went around home so no free night, and it was awful. We kept saying No and were there almost 4 hours. In the end we were handed a voucher for air tickets to Vegas to be used in the following 60 days, which we couldn't use that quickly.

The rental I found is $400 for 3 nights, sleeps 6, on the beach (parking lot view lol) and includes cleaning fee. Almost sounds too good to be true. This place in particular had 27 positive reviews and photos look nice. Id hate to get down there and its a bust!

Planning almost a year in advance to hopefully avoid major issues

first the good you can get almost anything from these time share people just by asking , but i got a 1bdr studio for my family it was for 2 nights he asked if i wanted an ocean view but due to i pulled muscle in my leg before my trip i told him i needed something really close to the car which they (Best Western ) help me when i checked in , the room was big almost like an OKW studio .
they will ask for you to pay up front it is guarenteed by Ron Jon you will revceive a receit from the timeshare place with everything on it Always read it carefully if there is anything wrong just call them they will correct it and you can canceal up to 30 or 60 days out just read cancealation restrictions
The Bad Side
doing a timeshare is not the easiest because some places just do not take NO for an ansawer if you have kids they have a play area for them while you tour , time wise i will say it is roughly 2 hours give or take . but sometimes the savings is worth it ? if you are on a budget , as per the tour with Ron Jon they were not bad they show you the resort then they show all the financial cost of it as per the PUSH factor i would not say they are not the hardest (that was west gate ) but they try .

and when i say they would correct anything this is what happend to us it was suppose to be my family and another family going but the other family miss the final payment and DCL cancealed there cruise so i called him up to canceal them and he offered free transportation for them to the orlando area while we were cruising and he made mention about Ron Jon having a water park on a previous conversation so i guess to butter us up from not cancealing he gave us a family pass to the water park but we did not use . Something else to think about to do while your there .
