How cramped will it be in our Pop room?
It will be myself, my mom, my aunt (last minute addition to trip), my 11yo & will be 9 month old at travel plus a scooter and a Pack-n-play.

I stayed at Pop in April 2005 it was myself, my mom, my then 4 yo, my cousin and her 2 kids, but we had 2 rooms. I remember it being small but not sure how much smaller than a mod room.

TIA

It will be cramped but it is doable. The scooter is going to be the issue. It will have to be by the door, the pack n play will fit by the room connector door or between the beds. Is everyone ok sharing beds?

I think REALLY cramped! I just remember DH and I on a trip without the kids, as soon as I entered the room, I though, wow, this is small! This was following a trip staying mod and normally staying value. The scooter you mentioned put it over the top from doable to cramped! Go in with the right mind set and I'm sure you will manage. :)

I also think really cramped. It was DH and I last year, and we were tripping over the suitcases in our room. Don't get me wrong, I love POP, but for that many people, plus a scooter, plus a pack & play ... it's gonna be tight.

I would request a ground floor due to the scooter and you can park it right outside your door I see it done all the time at Pop .:thumbsup2

they have elevators and scooter can go on with no problem I back on it and pull out.. would be more somfortable and another bath to get 2 connecting rooms. is cheaper than a suite at any value. some do leave scooters outside but I bring mine in the room

With a 9 mo old, do you also have a stroller and all the other stuff that goes with 9 month olds? We were cramped with 4 adults and no scooter....no pack and play and only carry on luggage....Sleeping won't be a problem but getting up at night to use the bathroom might be. Also, when everyone is trying to get dressed. If you can I would upgrade to a moderate or book 2 rooms at POP.

According to Allears Pop is going to be approx. 260 sq ft. If you could swing the upgrade, maybe you might consider 1 room at CBR as it offers larger rooms for a mod since it was the first mod built. The square footage is listed at 340, but I believe that some rooms are actually larger and there are a few rooms that can accomodate a wheel chair. You can make it work at POP, it's just gonna be really tight. Could be fun like a big sleepover party :cool1:!

Yep, it will be tight. I love Pop. I don't see a huge difference between Pop and most of the moderate resorts...maybe a foot smaller each way. And with just 3 or even 4 people, that isn't going to be an issue. But once you stick a pack and play in there, and then a scooter?? Way too much in that room.
I would try to change to CBR...rooms are a bit larger than regular moderate rooms.
Or, go with two rooms at Pop. If your aunt is a last minute addition, she may be willing to pony up part of the addtl cost.

Yes, my mom & her sister live together and soemtimes when they are watching movies my aunt falls asleep in moms bed. I think I will be the only one with the problem. My 11yo kicks the stuffing out of me when he sleeps LOL

That's what I was thinking. The good thing is I missed going to Disney in 2011 becasue I was pregnant maybe I'll be so excited being back there that the crampness won't bother me so much LOL

It was DH and I last year, and we were tripping over the suitcases in our room. .
My original plan was staying at FQ but I had to change my dates & plans 5 times when I was able to finally set down the dates I was only able to get into Pop. Don't get me wrong I love Pop but would have rather stayed at FQ.

We never had a problem going to the upper floors with scooter. SInce the scooter is not ours I perfer it in the room with me.

I wish I could add another room, but can't swing that right now. We only just recently added my aunt, because my mom got sick of hearing her whine about not being invited. We are going Sept 28th to Oct 10th and got the free dining offer.

I usually the one up at 6:30 letting everyone sleep to my business. Since I haven't traveled with a baby in such a long time I decided not to go commando this trip. Most mornings we are eating in our room or we are starting the day late so we can take our time getting ready. I hope to put luggage inside luggage to compact it down and the carriage is so little it can stand in a corner somewhere or leave it in the car. This is my hopes LOL

Thanks for the info. I might call DIsney see what we can do. Not sure what we can do since we did the free dining.

That's what i was thinking. I'm such a nice daughter/niece I'm actually footing the bill for everyone so I might see what I can do.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I might call Disney to see what the price difference is. With car insurance, the town taxes and the school tuition money for Sept is always a little tight. I should have done later in the year, but I want to go NOW lol

Thanks again everyone

You know you will pay an extra adult fee for each night of your stay since you have three adults in the room, right?

Yes, I did. My mom, my son & I got free dining but I had to pay for dining with upgrade for her since we added her after the free dining expired.

I called about upgrading to a mod and it will cost another $450.00 I think I will stick with my cramped room LOL Since we don't spend that much time in it I'm sure it will be OK. I just have to keep my mind open to the fact it will be cramped.

Thanks again everyone

I think as long as everyone is close, you'll be fine. My suggestion based on our last trip is to put the scooter by the door if you can fit it there. Move the small table as close to the door as you can as well and put the Pack N Play to the left of the entertainment center. That's where we put a twin inflatible bed last year and there was plenty of room. That leaves you to the right for more storage, plus the whole of the closet. If the scooter won't fit behind the door you can always put the crib in between the beds (I'd say put your 11 y/o near the wall so that the older folks aren't having to crawl over a bed to get out every time. I've also heard people say they put the crib in the closet area so that they could shut the curtain and stay up a little later with the light on while the baby slept. So that's an option too!

We love pop and there is 4 of us. I think the only problem will be where to store the scooter. They do have scooter parking near the Me counter on the side of the building. I'm not sure if that is used for just pick up and drop offs. But I have heard of them getting charged in that area.
