My young teen dd and I are planning a MAR '13 trip to WDW.
We will be at the world the week BEFORE Easter.
Now comes the hard part- which property.....
We have been MANY times and stayed at properties which ranges from VALUE to DELUXE.

We have not, however, stayed at BC, YC, BWI, Or OKW.
So who can WOW me on one of these?
My only requirements are a HOT tub near by (outside is plan) and NO DOUBLE beds. lol.

We plan on a standard room. We also hope the Disney Gods send us a %off pin or a % off for public. lol. One can dream.

You need to decide on what's more important to you
BC or YC - best pool on property
BWI - great night life
OKW - laid back and very relaxing

They're honestly all great places to stay. We have stayed at all of them, and my favorite would be BC/YC if you plan to spend most of your time in Epcot and HS. If you plan to visit all 4 parks, than OKW is more centrally located.

Hi, Your DD will love the YC/BC pool area :) And the Board Walk is just a short walk away for your enjoyment. OKW is a lovely resort but low key and quieter because it is ALL DVC condos,no hotel rooms. Joan

I think the decision has been made. Well, down to 2 properties. :lmao:
Either BC/YC.
We had a lovely walk through the grounds at BC when we went to CMC.
The pool looked AWESOME. Really didn't venture over to YC. Are they very SIMILAR? We are big swimmers, so their pool would have to top BC's.

Now to decided between BC or YC. lol

BC and YC share the Stormalong Bay pool, so you get the enjoyment of that pool regardless. Both resorts have their own quiet pool though.

Nothing beats BC for just being dang pretty IMHO and the water park area is THE BEST!

Half of the rooms at BC do not have balconies. While I love the common areas of BC so much, I do like being guaranteed a balcony.

But half the rooms do have full balconies ... (I guess i'm a glass half full kinda guy) :lmao:
We've been fortunate enough to get a balcony on each of our BC stays by having it noted in our reservation and asking for it when checking in.

I've stayed at all 3 of the epcot area resorts and would rank them as follows (just my preference .... you cant go wrong with any of them IMO)

1) BC :beach:
2) YC :boat:
3) BWI :clown:

You really can't go wrong with either resort. YC you will be guaranteed a full balcony, whereas BC you won't be even if you request it on your reservation. We have gone to BC and have had juliet balconies each time, but the balcony is not a necessity to us anyways. Little did we know until I started looking around on the DIS about room requests, now we plan on requesting a full balcony for our next trip. We like BC because of the marketplace, we go down for coffee and snacks often, and like it to be close. YC has a small area for coffee and drinks, but not anywhere as large as the marketplace.

3) BWI

ACK!! That crazy scary clown!! That's why we can't stay at BWI even though the cottage suites sound awesome. My DH and DS wouldn't want to venture in the clown pool!

I'm glad someone got the reference :lmao:

I am just sold on BC.....I will check out the particulars about YC.
Making my deposit this weekend and praying we get SOME kind of deal.
If ya'll have any pix u wanna share, I shouldn't get mad if you posted them....:goodvibes

Going in the month of March will lessen your chances for a balcony just because the entire month is full occupancy... I wouldn't let that change your mind, but it's important to consider the likelihood of getting what you want

I don't think you can go wrong with either resort. We're going in June to celebrate my DS 16th birthday, and he specifically requested YC. He loved it so much the last time we were there. I didn't think I was a balcony person until our last stay here. The balcony and view were so amazing, I became hooked:)

For me booking is in this order:

S/D (sometimes very cheap, other times, I won't pay the $500+)
YC
CR
GF
BC

Those are the resorts we enjoy. The S/D pool is second only to SAB and I find the YC to be much more quiet than the BC which is why I have the list I do. Either way, you'll have a ball!
