Hi, so the island excursions will be open for booking soon and I know the fantasy literally just set sail but I was wondering if anyone remembers some good excursions from the disney magic maybe? (Its the 7-Night eastern cartibean itinerary with st.marteen. st.thomas and castaway cay) So if anyone has any suggestions of some good excursions that they did on those islands, let me know! haha thanks

The Golden Eagle Catamaran on St. Thomas was a blast.

Gometros - can you give me more information on the Golden Eagle Chartered excursion? I am thinking of doing that one with my friends next June and just need more information on it!!! thanks in advance for any information...

also, any suggestions for St Thomas/St John port?

again, thank you

Check out DCL's description here http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/c...excursions/st-maarten/golden-eagle-catamaran/ . We had a blast and the crew were great. They also have a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/GoldenEagleCatamaran

In St. Thomas, check out Godfrey Tours http://www.godfreytoursvi.com/ For $25/person her really takes good care of you and spends the whole day taking your around St. Thomas. You might also want to think about taking the ferry over to St. John and visiting Trunk Bay, just an absolutely gorgeous beach.

We haven't sailed yet, but we have booked these and they have great reviews from this board and other places that i checked out.

Bernard's Tours in St. Maarten - you can do beach, shopping and scenic or just shopping and scenic. $40 per person

St. John Champagne Catamaran & Snorkel - though DCL

We just did Godfrey's Tour last thursday, great tour! Very informative.. and gives you time to walk around and shop! Takes you to the Highest Mountain Top in ST.THomas.. great views/photo taking!

We (DH, DD17, DD14 and myself) did the Rhino Rider excursion in St. Maarten through Disney. It was incredible! It's similar to a wave runner, but requires more physical strength. Worth every penny, which I believe was about $100/person. We also tipped our guides and purchased t-shirts. I think that there were only 16 slots, so sign up early!

In St. Maarten, we did a private tour through Capt. Bob. He was great to work with and we love our guide Oliver. The main thing we did on the island that everyone loved was zip lining. They took us to Loterie Farm. They have 3 different courses set up. One for kids (~48" and up), an adult course and an extreme course. DH and DN (niece-14) did the adults course. My niece said it was the greatest thing ever. My mom enjoyed the outdoor lounge area and could see us occasionally on the course. I did a pass of the kids course with DD (4 y/o and very tall). Since my mom was close, the guides let DD hang with them while I went to the adults course. When a new group of kids came up, he let her go again for free.

In St. Thomas, DH and DN did Disney's sea trek helmet dive and enjoyed it. DN did the teen adventure on St. Thomas (Screamin' Eagle Jet Boat) and on CC (Teen Wild Side - kayak, snorkle and bike ride). The Screamin' Eagle also had a family ride and DD has already said she wants to do it next year.

We loved this itinerary and ship so much that we booked the same schedule next year so we could repeat it all.

I see you did the jet boat...how did you like it? We were thinking about trying this.

Any excursions on St. John that start later in the day...after 11 am? We are going to be there January 1 and I don't want a first thing in the morning excursion after New Year's Eve. I know my teens will be partying late, and heck, so might I.

I wish DCL had thought this one through and had Jan. 1 be a sea day. I have an 8 am excursion booked but am second guessing myself because I don't want all of us to have a tired, crappy day.

We did a private tour with Bernards in St. Maarten. Good Value, got to see a few things that the group tour did not.

We did the Full Day Sail and Snokel to Turtle Cove. Best Excursion we have ever done. Great Crew, Good Food, Great Rum Punch. It was all day and you will be tired when you get back.

I've noticed there are a bunch of sail/snorkle/catamaran options. How can I tell which is best? I think my kids might like the 'fast boat' thing, so would like them to be able to do 2 things. Would it be best to do one half-day thing each day (we'll be in St. Maatens one day/St Thomas the next)

Nancy

Bumping this :)

Just wondering if any recent cruisers have done the Screaming Eagle jet boat in St Thomas? Looks really fun but wondering how rough it is? And, I assume you get totally soaked?

Thanks in advance!
