What's your favorite mod?

So, which one of these is your favorite moderate resort and why?

My favorite is the Coronado Springs. I love the grounds, the digsite pool is amazing, huge hot tub, down comforters on the queen beds, h20 products, and great bus service.

For us, it is cbr. I resisted staying here for a long time and now could kick myself. We absolutely loved it. The grounds were beautiful and so relaxing. The pool was fantastic for my family. My boys loved it and I can't say enough about the gated kids play area with an enforced height limit.

We haben't stayed at POR or FQ yet. We will but being native new orleanians, they are low on our list.

CBR got my vote! We love the lush landscaping and peacefulness of the whole resort. Even when it's at capacity, it never feels like it. It is such a nice break from the craziness of the parks.

We like the food court at CBR a little better. The layout just seems to work better.

We feel like we get 2 vacations in one when we stay at CBR.

I'm going with POFQ. My family enjoys that it's on the smaller side and no room is very far from the food court, pool, etc. I love to take the boat ride to Downtown Disney. It's more fun than taking the bus and trying to find parking can make driving there a pain. Plus you really get two resorts in one since you can always stroll over to POR for a full service restaurant or to pool hop.

I voted for CBR since this is the only mod we have stayed in. We enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Coronado Springs!! Door separating dressing area from room, Pepper Market, awesome bus times to and from parks (w/ return stop usually close to the gate), beautiful and clean resort, gift shop that had a Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty castle out to play with (which we bought for our DD for Christmas because she loved theirs so much), friendly staff everywhere!!

Having stayed at all of them, I have pretty much a three way tie between POR, CSR and CBR. We enjoy the spread out resorts with lots of pools and grounds. I missed quiet pools at POFQ although its a beautiful resort and I'd stay there again.

The mods are out favorite category of resort, I don't think you can really pick a bad one!

I've also stayed at all of them and, for me, it pretty much comes down to theming. POR is by far my fav, followed by POFQ, CSR and CBR.

We've stayed at FQ for a couple years and loved the size. Never had to share a bus with Riverside, easy boat ride to DTD, and liked the theme and feel. Small food court is ok. We liked building 4 as being closest to bus stop and parking lot.

The only Mod I've stayed at is POR. I love it there! I don't have any desire to try any other Mod because I love POR so much. DH wants to try CSR in the future tho. But I would be perfectly happy with staying at POR. The grounds are so lush and beautiful. We also loved the Murphy bed in AB at POR.

We absolutely love POFQ, whenever we stay in a moderate we always stay there. Everytime we are deciding on a moderate resort we always say we are going to try out the other ones (CBR or CSR since we have stayed at POR before) but seem to always go back to POFQ. We love that it is the smallest of the moderates and that it has only 1 bus stop. We also love the pool, the boat to DTD, and the decor/atmosphere of the resort. Also having beignets in the morning is another plus for us .

We love POFQ for the theme/lanscape.. compact.. boat ride to DTD.. Beignet!!
We can stroll along the river to POR and use their amenities since they are sister resort.

We have always loved to stay at POR. We love the layout, the views, and the atmosphere. We are heading back this Dec. and will be staying at the CSR for the first time. We have extended family going and we let them choose where to stay. We're hoping to fall in love with it too!

POR I feel it has a bit more to offer with:
Boat to DTD
Newly refurbed rooms
Queen beds
Beautiful landscaping
Great food court
Evening entertainment
Fishing hole
Marina, can rent boats to go along the river right to DTD
Nice main pool area and quiet pools.
Easy to get around with multiple bridges.

I have stayed at all of them and POFQ is my absolute favorite for its charm and small size, getting anywhere is just quick and I love the boat to DTD. POR is a close 2nd.. I really love it there too!

I'm kinda partial or bias to CSR..Which I consider the best Moderate..

Honestly either of the 4 are fine, but I'd rate them like this:
1st CSR
2nd POR
3rd POFQ

4th CBR...

Heres why?


1st off: Pool . Each resort's main pool is nice, but the POFQ is a lil bit on the kiddish side. CSR nice theming & never ever crowded at all. POR Very nice as well w/ a nice side crowd during all hours. Same w/ CBR. POR's is nice and close to the main bldg, which is very convenient too. CSR a lil far but worth the beautiful walk.

2nd: Rooms. This fairly even for all. It all depends on your taste. I believe all have updated rooms now. I was fortunate to saty in them for POR & CSR. I loved both. POFQ I didn't stay in for more than a day. CBR never stayed inside.

3rd: Food area. I think by far. CSR Pepper Market. Never a wait to be seated. no more than 15 seconds .honestly. Also they bring u the drinks for a really small tip. (not a big deal) All the others were so darn packed & it really discouraged me. I felt like I was back at the values.

4th: Transportation. CSR definetley gets the nod again. Never once did we wait to or from any park or DTD. The fact that its a convention hotel helps. But Both the POR & POFQ have a nice boat ride to DTD. Bad side is the buses there. LOng long wait, especially from HS Fantasmic show. Both buses returning to the resorts from there were a minimum 7 or 8 buses. CBR felt just about average.

5th: Grounds. All are beautiful. POR & CSR stand out IMHO. CBR is spread out and the theming to me doesnt feel like Disney. Plus main Bldg is no where near anything. Check in area. POFQ is very small. Kinda claustraphobic if you ask me.

Lets put it this way: This is Disney, No matter which you choose, they will make it a magical time regardless. Have fun choosing & enjoy!

For us it is POFQ! We love the small size of the resort, the Mardi gras theme, boat to DTD, and being able to use pool & everything at POR too!
