Ok, we now leave in 32 hours and all the suitcases are still empty! :lmao: Tomorrow I have nothing to do except pack so hopefully I don't forget anything! :)

Good luck!! I made a start today but didn't get to the clothes. Packed my carry on with change of clothes, PJ. Bathing suit, extra flip flops, my travel folder with all my reservations, touring plans and travel insurance in it. I've been burnt a few times by airlines, where my luggage and me didn't arrive at the same time  and there we were in Florida with nothing! So now I pack a carry on with enough to get me by for a day or 2 just in case.

Ok, now I feel like I should pack! Leaving in 48 hours! :goodvibes

Well Im kinda neurotic. I start putting things in the "Disney corner" of my bedroom months in advanced. I also buy several new tops for myself and almost all new cloths for my kids. Its usually the only time we have family photos all together so I like them to look there best :)

Staying two weeks at the WL sounds heavenly :cloud9:......you are going to love WL CL. Our first CL stay was at the WL and it was amazing......the food offerings were great and the CMs were awesome :thumbsup2. Have a great trip and enjoy the Lodge :goodvibes.

Thank you so much! We are all very excited :cool1:

Congrats! You'll have a hard time going back after that!
(This of course is from someone who thought CL was a waste of $, until getting upgraded to RPC and has never looked back :) )

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Thats quite the upgrade :thumbsup2 We have a feeling that we wont want to look back. We have a shortish trip booked in Sept for the MNSSHP and are staying at CBR. That is more for the kids as I know they will love the pool. We are also booked for December in a deluxe room CL at WL as I figured with the holidays that was a no brainer. As for next year I have us booked AKL CL ;)

:thumbsup2 I'm going to start going thru my clothes now, to figure out what I'm bringing then have to wash it all :laundy: before packing it. Hopefully I will not over pack this time :lmao: What are the chances :confused3

I have already meet and surpassed overpacking :rotfl:I actually have an outfit for each day plus 2 just in case for me and plus 4 for each of my boys. My goal is to not do laundry at all on this trip as the laundry facility is rather small and it took a huge chunk of my day last time waiting for dryers to open up.
Have fun Sue! I cant wait to hear all about your stay as we have one booked for next July :)

I am notorious for over packing :rolleyes1. Can't wait to hear about your trip when you return as we are considering AKL CL for a short December trip. We've stayed at AKL before, but not CL. Have a great trip :dance3:.

You're welcome :goodvibes. The WL is great anytime of year, but is just gorgeous during the holidays......you will love it :goodvibes. I love how the CL seating overlooks the lobby......great for relaxing and watching the goings on below :cloud9:. We've haven't tried AKL CL yet, but are considering it for a future trip as I've heard nothing but great things about it ;).

I'd like to know too!!

I'm a wine lover too. I don't really remember the specific vintages offered at the lobby bar (Victoria Falls) but it is a lovely spot with lots of good choices :thumbsup2 We also love the bar at Kidani inside Sanaa. Only bad thing there is very poor cell phone service if you let your kids roam the resort. We usually just had our come down from the arcade and periodically check in with us.

 I am hopeful OFC will restore some CL love into my DH....he liked AKL even though we were FAR away from the lounge. He liked SL too, but didn't love the price, and if he didn't like that you can imagine how he feels about RPC....we'll get there...as a family. Hopefully 2013 :hyper: Occupancy was way low when we went due to Hurricane Irene so maybe that's why SL wasn't crowded

It will. As you know, our WL CL experience made DH want to do ONLY CL!!! :lmao:

I can't wait to see how our POLY CL experience compares! :goodvibes

We are trying Poly CL in July 2013 and I am very excited :yay:.....I would love to hear about your experience when you return. I have tried booking it in the past and every time I thought I was ready, I would read negative reviews and change my mind. After toying with it over and over again, I decided to bite the bullet and book it for our post cruise stay next summer. We've stayed GV at the Poly and just LOVE the resort , so I figured it was time to try CL since it's always been on my list to try. If we have a so-so or not so good experience compared to the other CLs we've tried, we will know for next time. But I keep telling myself that until we try it for ourselves, we won't know if it's for us or not. And I agree with you.....having the CL rooms redone is a big plus ::yes::. I am excited for next year as that will be a trip of new things for us as we are taking our first Disney cruise, trying Poly CL as well as trying YC CL prior to the cruise. We've stayed at the BC (although not CL), and thought we'd give YC a try :goodvibes.

If the is one thing I've learned in all of my trips to WDW and my years on the DIS, it's that everyone has their own personal preferences, and that we should absolutely give something a shot if interested, despite reviews. :thumbsup2

You know that!!!

I've had trouble booking Poly too...mostly because of the bad reports of the room conditions...but besides that, even if the room was in good condition, I just really didn't care for the decor....but....out with the old, in with the new!!!! From what I've seen of the refurb to come, it's going to be beautiful, and we are all soooooo excited!!!! I'm glad your going to get to experience POLY CL, I know it's your favorite resort and I'm sure CL will just push it over the top!!! :goodvibes

You are so right about personal preferences ::yes::. In reading Poly reviews, it seems to me that people either love or hate the resort, with alot of them saying it's too dark. I have seen people say the same thing about WL. We see the Poly and WL the same as far as room colors and although we don't see either one as dark, I can see how others would feel that way if they like a bright room......so if one seems dark, the other will too. I hope you enjoy the Poly as much as we do. I saw you go back and forth about it for your trip last month and I totally understand because I find myself doing that lately with resorts :rolleyes1. One of the biggest things (among many) about the Poly that we love is the size of the rooms......they are very spacious and all rooms come with a daybed (which comes in handy with two older teens ). Have fun planning for your first Poly stay.....I'm sure it will be fabulous :goodvibes.

We are in the process of planning our July 2013 trip and can't decide on GF SL or BWI CL.

We are leaning towards GF. But I have a question about BWI CL. I understand that some rooms are on the 3rd floor and the lounge is on the 4th floor and in some pictures I see a door that says Innkeepers Club on it, is that the entrance to all the 4th floor rooms and lounge?

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is are the rooms all contained in one area on the 4th floor inside that door?

We just stayed BC CL and I liked that feeling of going straight up to the 5th floor with your key and all the rooms were there and the lounge.

I think if I'm on the 3rd floor it will take away that club feeling and would probably be a far walk to get a snack or drink.

What do you all think?

:wave2:

Hello everyone! Booked our first CL room today at the Contemporary! I'm super excited! The CL choice was mainly since we are celebrating my mom's 50th birthday but I'm afraid I might get a little spoiled and want to do it for all of our trips :rotfl:

The trip is over a year away and I'm already getting ansty!

We are trying Club Level for the first time at Poly. I'm wondering if the IPO is able to help with surprises? My 3 boys have always wanted the Mickey balloons that you see in all the parks but I've always encouraged them to pick another 'treat'. I'd love it if they could have balloons waiting for them on arrival in the room. Any chance they could arrange this?

Our daughter has always wanted the Mickey balloons, too. When we stayed CL at WL last Christmas I had IPO get a half dozen of them to be in our room when we arrived. They just charged it to our room. It was a great welcome surprise!

Just wondering... has anyone ever received a discount for a CL room at the WL? We're booked in a deluxe room next summer and while we don't need a discount, it's hard thinking that we're spending so much!

Are club level rooms in general rarely discounted?

I know there's not a "real" answer and depends on availability etc, but just curious what others have found.

We just spent 11 days in a standard WL CL room at 40% off. It was the military discount. So, discounts are available.

While the CL rooms are always included in the discounts, the suites and Deluxe rooms at WL are not.

I'll be at the Poly CL over labor day weekend. I had a friend there about two weeks ago and got her to send me a picture of the the CL menu. I only have Wed-Sat., but it's been updated since the one you have posted on the Poly CL section. I'm going to go back and pull it up (posted it on the Poly thread last night) and post it here. I don't want to mess anything up, but if you might want to move it to the Poly section of this thread so that's it's updated, that might be nice for people going soon.

BTW, everything looks great!! Thanks for setting up the new thread/board!

I'm staying at the BWI CL and am wondering if its worth doing the online check-in or not? If I do it and don't like my room will I be able to change or if I do it will it speed up check-in? I can't make my mind up. I did send a room request for a room with twin beds, a Illuminations/garden view plus close to the lounge as my daughter has health problems.

While the CL rooms are always included in the discounts, the suites and Deluxe rooms at WL are not.

I was offered a whopping 5% discount on a deluxe room at WL...it's something, right?
