Refillable Mugs and Popcorn Buckets ?

Hi All! We will at USF for 2 days in August and my question is: I have already purchased a refillable mug and popcorn bucket and HP BB mug 2 years ago.... would we still be permitted to use them to purchase drinks and popcorn during our stay, or should we just purchase new ones when we get there ? TIA

You should be fine, I've got a few from years back myself and have never had an issue having them refilled.

you can buy any mug in the parks and it will be refillable for life.
it can be based on a character or ride, or.....

my mug isn't the red cup/mug one.

it's the mug of a coaster.

You sure can! They are reusable as long as you have them!

The Butterbeer mugs are refillable as well? How much do you save on that? I would never have thought to bring them back with me on our next trip.....but we sure do love that Butterbeer.

i have the bb mug and have used it for refills.
it's nothing like the discount for the soda mug refills.


i really can't remember the exact discount but i think it was $3.25 for the frozen one that normally sells for $3.99.
the regular non frozen bb is $2.99 but i don't remember that discounted price.

You have to do the bb refill in Hog's Breath, not at the carts.

And I have NEVER gotten a refill price for frozen; it's all I get, and they'll give the refill price for DH and DS's cold bb, but NOT on my frozen. (2 trips, multiple days, different CMs)

Remember that you can also use your BB mug to get soda refills

Though it can be a pain as you have to drink it all at once unlike the mugs with lids, but it's worth bearing in mind seeing as you already have the BB mugs

It says on the mug that refills are for day of purchase only. If they don't care why put that? Jw. Lol! Still the best purchase I've made this whole trip!

Sort of on topic, if you buy a meal plan at US, can you use it if you move over to IOA? Can you use it during the day and then use it during HHN later?

You'd have to buy the two park meal deal.

first, my bb mug doesn't have a notice good for day of purchase.

now on to this question.
the meal deal is park related.
you can buy a 2 park meal deal or just for the one park.
and it is only accepted at the 3 places per park that are listed.
it costs more for the meal deal for both parks on the same day.
the promo ends 30 minutes prior to park closing.

so, park closes at 5 for hhn prep.
this means 4:30 is the end of the meal deal you purchased for that day.
it is not valid for hhn, they don't sell meal deals on those nights.

there are different promos at the parks.

1. beverage deal.
buy this and it is valid for the day. pay one price and free refills that day.

2. buy any mug at the park and use it for beverages/soda.
the mug is valid for your lifetime for discounted soda refills.
you pay the discounted price when you use it.

3. promos in the park vary. sometimes it will be "buy 2 red handle mugs, get a third mug free"
those can be used for discounted priced refills.
