The Force is Strong in This One: SWW and Celebration VI, Disney Done Differently

you were definately in the right place at the right time :thumbsup2

:lmao: about the movies....hmm maybe it is time to switch the movies :lmao:

There was some change in the movies a few years ago, if I remember correctly, but it's time again.

At the very least for SWW they should show clips from Star Wars on the screen!!

What a truly magical experience for Anakin! I don't blame you for having tears in your eyes. You can tell that Anakin was still laughing in the picture that you snapped when he was walking away from Goofy and Donald. :rotfl:

LOL, he was a little embarrased that he brought up conversation about the underware. The characters were pretty animated at that, rofl!

Hmm, some suspense. But it's real life suspense so that's not as fun because I don't want anything bad to happen to Anakin. :sad2: I can't wait to hear about these two amazing days, they must have been pretty special to almost match your wedding and children's births! :goodvibes:goodvibes

I'm a picky eater (like Anakin, used to be that extreme too, but have gotten much better as an adult), but I like hot dogs! :thumbsup2 Sounds like I could get that, granted it's kind of counter service equivalent food, but the atmosphere makes it worth it. Ice cream and my digestive tract don't like each other. :crazy2:

I :lovestruc:lovestruc the atmosphere at the Garden Grill! Probably because I love that prairie scene way too much. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Those days were very special. The goodness in humanity was magnified. People were so friendly, compassionate, and caring.

The suspense I speak of is for good things to come, lots of smiles and some tears as hearts were touched.

As for the bad, he did have a seizure on June 10th, the last day of SWW, just as he was falling asleep at night. It was a series of clusters that was put at bay with his rescue medication. He was perfectly fine the next day when he woke up! And went over 30 days seizure free after that!

Hotdogs are not on the adult menu at Sci Fi. You could always ask if they can make you one, the worse they can say is no. The picnic burger comes with 2 hotdogs on it.

I love the prairie seen too! Prairie dogs are so cute. That was always my favorite section of Zoo America in Hershey, PA.

Wow!! What a great experience!! Thank you to Anakin for talking to Goofy about that. I would have been embarrassed for Goofy, but Anakin was right he is Goofy and Goofy is as Goofy does.

Oooh, good suspense is the best suspense! :dance3::dance3: But I may be mistaken, didn't you foreshadow something bad happening to his mask/helmet? Glad he bounced back from his seizure! :cool1: I'm pulling for him to beat the no-seizure record! :cheer2::cheer2:

I love everything about the prairie, it's a weird obsession of mine. :lmao: Some people like marine biology, I like prairie ecology. :confused3 Bison are my favorite animals! :thumbsup2

What a wonderful magical moment !!! We are eating at SciFi in October itwill be a first for Carol but not me !!!

Ah, yes, the helmet. It's a matter of perspective if it was a good thing or a bad thing. You'll see soon...

Seizures are a strange thing. Some will wipe him out for a day or more, sometimes he loses memory or ability to do something, some look like he is chewing or mouth clicking, and sometimes he stares. He's had some seizures appear mild to us at the time, but really affect his memory and abilities afterwards; and others that appears really nasty but had little effect on him.

Both neurologists he's seen say surgery is the only way to stop the seizures, but it only has a 70% success rate up to 2 years, then the percentage drops. My sister-in-law had the surgery and she remained seizure free a little over two years, then they started back up. The neuro we see now, said if his increase, we should consider surgery, but for now we can wait it out since he is fairly well controlled. I think they will be surprised when we go back in September to hear he went a month without!

Look what arrived on Tuesday!

How's Anakin feeling today?

I wish I could say he is feeling great, but his cough keeps choking him. It's very scary to watch. It was really hard to get him in with the doc again today. First person I talked to said that there were no appointments left for the day so she transferred me to a nurse. The nurse said there is a 1:45 appt, then said, "oh, that appointment was just taken." So I asked her how that appt could be just taken if they told me there were no appointments and transferred the call to her. She said there is some type of protocol for how many days have to be between appointments for the same thing. Never had a problem before with this office until the last week or so. They called back and said they would fit him between patients at 3:45 but there might be a long wait. So wish me luck sitting with him for a long time.

That is so frustrating!:mad: I'm sorry to hear is cough is not improving (getting worse?) I really hope it isn't anything serious. I really want him healthy for Celebration!! I have never heard of that protocol before and it makes no sense to me... :sad2: Clearly if you need another appointment for the same issue, they didn't help you the first time! Good luck sitting with him, I hope they are wrong about the wait! That is tough for any kid, but especially one with ASD. I hope they figure something out this time! If they can't, is the ENT a possibility? :scratchin

Exciting mail!

I am so sorry to hear that Anakin is still having so many problems. I can only imagine how frustrated you are with the Dr's office. I would be not the happiest of campers. I'll think happy thoughts that it isn't too rough waiting for the appointment.

sorry Anakin is still not doing well...hope the dr will be able to figure out somehow to give him some relief :goodvibes

those are very cool tickets! you all are going to have so much FUN :dance3:

Tink , I am so sorry I missed your call. What did the doctor say about JJ? Give him a hug for me please!

We are back from the doctor and he saw his pediatrician. She wrote for an antibiotic so hopefully he will be as good as new soon!

hope the new meds will get him feeling better soon !

I hope your son is on the fast track to recovery!! I hope the antibiotics do their job quickly!!

I have been enjoying your trip report so much! My grandson has aspergers and is on the autism spectrum. He is 6, but normally we still bring out huge double BOB, as he can isolate himself under the huge canopy when need be.

This September will be our first trip without BOB. It will be interesting to say the least. There are times that my grandson determines when we leave parks, whether or not we eat at CS or in a restaurant, as you say, pick your battles.

Looking forward to more!!
