I was wondering if anyone knew a fun place to visit (besides Disney lol)? My mom want me (13), my brother (almost 17), and her to go on a road trip this summer...
I live in New Jersey and the farthest she wants to drive is Tennessee... Any suggestions?

Have you visited Boston? I really enjoyed my visit. If it's not too far Canada looks awesome. :car:

We (my family) travel alot around here. I have a few ideas for you depending on how much she wants to spend and how long of trips:

1. Great Wolf Lodges are a little expensive but are great for older kids who like water activities. We have been twice and would love to go three.
2. Kings Island in Ohio seemed nice ( we were not able to go when we were in Ohio last)
3. Any large zoos ( I live in PA and just went to the Philly Zoo a few weeks ago. It was a blast.
4. Hershey Park ( also something we went to in June of this year). That offered many things, including chocolate products obviously. There is an amusement park and chocolate world that has many different tours and taste test options.
5. Knobels, a free admission theme park in Elysburg PA, has many large attractions. We actually just went today and we could ride anywhere from 3-10 rides for very low costs (estimated under $60 for whole trip including parking and family of 5).
6. Virginia Beach, or any beach for that matter, has a boardwalk with rides on the edge of the beach. It's clean, friendly, and has hotel options on the beach. We stayed for 3 nights & 4 days in July.

i sure hope these help you plan the next best trip for your family. I forgot to mention I'm turning 16, my sister is 13, and my brother is 12 so these options should be around the right range. :) :thumbsup2

I'm from that area. I was born in Ludlow. What did you do in Boston? Do you live there??? :)

Nope, but I was born in New Hampshire but moved far away from there when I was little. My dad is from Massachusetts and I went for a wedding. We also went sightseeing. We saw a lot of history things and did a duck boat tour. I love the east coast! :)

Oh I see. Well that's cool anyways. I have moved around a LOT so I haven't lived in Mass since I was 2 1/2. I like the east coast too.

Thanks for the ideas! Hershey Park and Great Wolf Lodge look really fun, I'll have to look into them more! :goodvibes

I was actually just at Hersheypark last Monday and Tuesday with my friends and it was fun! They have a new roller coaster called SkyRush that's kinda short, but worth the wait! :)

I live in lower NY, like really close to NJ, and some places I go to or my friends go to are:

Williamsburg & Busch Gardens, VA
Myrtle Beach, SC
Hershey Park
Ocean City, Maryland

I'm not sure of what part of NJ you live in, but Wildwood may be a choice too!:)

Thanks for the ideas! My brother was talking about Busch Gardens, so I'll have to look into that! We were also considering Hershey Park. I've been going to Ocean City, NJ since I was little, so is there a big difference between the one in Maryland and the one in NJ?

I went on skyrush. It was kinda short, but def worth the wait! <3 Skyrush!:thumbsup2

New York is also a great place to go too. I want to go there in the next couple years. There is many of things to do there!

I live about 45 min from NYC and go there pretty often.... I would definitely recommend going there! Times Square is really great and there's so much to do no matter what part you go to! :goodvibes

If you enjoy history, Washington DC is a must. Next for History ould be the different areas of Pennsylvania, mainly Philly though. Liberty Bell is in Philly. My next choice would be NYC.
