I just looked at my voucher booklet that I got in the mail. Oddly it says that each person in my group gets a refillable mug! Could this be a misprint?? I swear the reservationist said one per family. As far as Im concerned it says one each so I will try to get that.:rotfl:

No misprint. Each person in your group receives a refillable mug. :thumbsup2

Yeah its definitely one per person. They don't expect you all to share one mug! In my family, that would be asking for a fight! :rotfl:

How many people keep their receipts for the mugs with them? Are the receipts really necessary to get your refills? Is this the only place that requires the receipts?

You don't need your receipt to get a refill if you have the mug with you. The poster referring to using a receipt was referring to a particular place at the Boardwalk that does not put the drinks into the mug..they give you a paper cup because it is not a self fill station and they cannot take everyone's mugs behind the counter for sanitary reasons. Most of the time people stopping at this one placec can just pour the paper cup contents into their mug, but in the case that they don't want to take the mug to the parks with them, they just have the receipt and use the paper cup.

I have read in several posts that at some resorts you can get juice. Does anyone know which resorts? :confused3

Unlikely that you can still get juice for your refillable mug. For example, Pop Century used to have apple juice as a soda dispenser choice, but that option was removed a few years ago.

just adding a little levity here. a little "diddy" about the mugs, sung to the tune of "red solo cup"!

(not agreeing with the sentiment, or encouraging reuse, just laughing at the song)
Cute. We saw people refilling everything from the paper cups from their rooms to Dasani bottles. One morning when I was mixing my mocha, I turned around to see Disney security headed my way. No idea what was up, but I was very glad that I wasn't "cheating."

Wondering if anyone has ever gotten them to give you the mugs early for split stays. We recently gave up free dining for 11 nights so we could do a split stay at AoA and CSR. The package doesn't start until CSR but we will have 4 days at AoA prior. Wondering if one could use the "length of stay" to request mugs even if switching resorts during stay. Doesn't make much sense to pay $60 for mugs 4 days before receiving them with the package?
I would talk to whomever you booked through (Disney, AAA, a travel agent?) It does not seem unreasonable to me to get your mugs at the beginning of your visit.

GOOD NEWS, everyone staying at AofA.The pool was open 24/7, so their pool drink station was too. Very handy when we had a Magical Express luggage disaster and were up until 3 a.m. washing clothes. At least we could drown our sorrows in soda.

The mugs are credits on your dining plan, not part of your resort stay. So you can get the "free" mugs whenever your dining plan kicks in and you have those credits available to use.

I really can not wait for the chip system to come into effect. I hate when I see people "stealing" the drinks. I am glad that security was after someone. Not paying for it only drives up the cost for us that are honest and actually pay for what we use.

I too found the "My Disney Cup" song funny, since we are big Solo Cup users at block parties...

Does anyone know when the chip system is going to be installed and if it will be at all resorts?

An RFID chip system was tested at All Star Sports last year, but it ended and I haven't heard anything about whether or not they're going to go any further with it.

Yes, it's been quiet about them moving forward with the RFID chips in the mugs.

Maybe they'll be able to tie in your mug purchase to your RFID wristband (that they are testing) and you can refill in any cup/mug you want. That would be very green. We could just bring back mugs from previous years we want to bring.

I came home from our trip with a bad chest cold, which has now become pneumonia:sick:. I'm drinking ginger ale from my Disney mug to try to cheer myself up (gotta push those fluids, you know).

I am sorry to ask this as I am sure it has been asked several times already. BUT I read a bunch of pages.

Is the design on the mugs this year the same as last year? The only pictures I saw were both of the old mug.

They are the characters by the pool. We just got back yesterday and I saw pink, black, and blue tops.
