HHN website

Yes...so I'm hoping the poster will go ahead and purchase the EP as soon as they can.

I'm wondering if they have significantly increased the number they sell. I always buy mine well in advance since learning that lesson but I honestly don't notice much difference in the wait times for the EP lines. Of course, I was also there the year they introduced it and I think it was $25 for a Saturday night, now it's like $80!

At any rate, I misunderstood your post, no worries. :thumbsup2

Does there seem to be any particular overall theme developing? I love the houses so far but the theme seems random.
I'm not seeing it if there is, and it seems to be getting later and later that they let us in on it.

Of course, I still think the Bloody Mary year was the peak overall. We're addicted to HHN and have been since 2000, but that year was the absolute best with the website, story, theme, houses, and FLYING FRIGGIN' MONKEYS!

nothing was announced but there have been some discussions on a few sites i go to.

What they sayin', doll? I like all of the things they've announced so far, but I have to admit I can't see any common thread to tie them together.

What rides are usually available during the party? We are planning on going on 10/26 so I'm just wondering what ride attractions will be open besides the haunted houses.

last year the selected rides open were Mummy, Simpsons, RRR, MIB, Jaws.

probably the 3 same again this year. maybe a new 4th since jaws bit the dust this year.

we are newbies to universal and to HHN. So, I have a couple of questons?
Do they have some houses they do every year? Also, what are the other houses? I'm unsure of what exactly a scare zone is, I can only imagine.;)

We've purchased our tickets and the express, so we are ready to go.

Thanks to Raven for all her great information!!!:worship:

We decided not to do Stay and Scream, and changed our tickets to FF.

We are staying at RPH. I read somewhere there is a separate line or entrance for onsite guests to go into HHN. Is this right? And also where is it?

Thanks.

House theme are different from year to year. They have only released a few house themes this year so far: Alice Cooper's Welcome to My Nightmare and Silent Hill. The rest of the houses are a mystery at this point. The Walking Dead will be featured as a house as well. A scarezone is an area that you walk through where scareactors are wandering around. The zones are outside as opposed to being covered like a house would be.

The hotel entrance is located near the front gates and off to the right. There will be a sign pointing you in the right direction. Hotel guests will allowed to enter at 6pm.

Boo to youse too!.....;)

metro pretty much said it all for the hotel guests.
you will need your hotel photo id card, hotel key card and FF pass to use the private hotel entrance to the park.
if the guests at the sns section have not been released at 6:00 and you are entering the park at 6:00, you will be guided to the sns holding area waiting for the all clear from park security.

UO hasn't released the theme this year.
rumors about say they know the theme/icon, but until everything is released officially, we all tweedle our thumbs.

the houses can sometimes reflect the theme & icon in different ways.

most of the houses are congo line style.
line up and follow the peep ahead of you.
really unable to stand and look around once inside the houses.

the scare zones are in open, not confined, sections.
you can stand there and stare all you want........

there are shows at hhn.
some have been mentioned already.

i know you will have so much fun at hhn.

hhn virgins..............they always have a lot of fun.

:thanks:

Only 28 more days before we leave for our vacation.
I am really looking forward to Universal...especially HHN. I know I'll be scared silly:scared1:

tanx

after your trip, you'll be a pro at giving out advice!

macraven
We have 28 days until we arrive at Disney. :banana:We will be at Universal on Sept 17th.:woohoo:
I keep wondering if 1 week will be enough time. I suppose if it's not, I'll have another good reason to go back next year. I'm already thinking of trying to include 2 weekends of HHN. :rolleyes1

As for being a pro about giving out advice:lmao::rotfl:

1 week for the entire vacation or 1 week at the darkside?

refresh my memory, i forgot and i'm relaxed with a jack and coke right now.....

hhn virgins usually get sucked into repeat trips and longer stays.....

you'll be back, as arnold would say.

when you start planning for vacation 2013, you'll know you're hooked.

i always schedule to hitting hhn 4 nights in a row.

thinking about adding more to my hhn adventure this year.

hopefully the blood bags will be at hhn this year.
be sure to buy at least 3 of them.
it will prevent you from being scared.

1 month in all. 3 weeks at Disney and 1 week at Universal.
hhmmmm..jack and coke sounds tasty.

4 nights in a row for hhn sounds awesome.:thumbsup2 That will be us next year.;)

So what are you thinking of adding this year?

Blood bags?!:scared::worried::scared1:
So I'll need 3 and DH will need 3?
How do they prevent you from being scared?

The houses, years, themes all run together for me.

However, have to say that I loved the year with the Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th House, etc. Of all of them, that is the one I remember most. Maybe because someone, who shall remain nameless, told Jason to breathe in my ear when we were in the Friday the 13th house. I turned around fully expecting to see my husband, but instead saw Jason in full costume right in my face .....

Not only did I almost pee my pants and scream bloody murder, but let's just say it wasn't made any better by my (nameless, instigator) friend who tried to say, "Jodie! Jason was just going to tell you everything is OK. It's just fake!!"

Yeah, you know who you are ....

I know Saturday is the busiest day for HHN, but which is the busiest between Friday and Sunday? We are trying to make it mid October. We went on Sunday last year, which was our first time, and it wasn't too bad. We bought express passes
