Prepaid Photopass + now offered at DL

Alright, I found out about this too late to preorder before I go. So, as I understand, my option now is to buy it when I get to the park and pay $99 for it? Is it something I can do without physically entering a park? We'll be arriving on a Saturday, but didn't plan to go to the park until Sunday.

Is there someplace I could go on Saturday without having to use up a ticket day to get this so I'm not missing out on hitting rides when the park opens on Sunday?

Most people who order on a Wednesday night get the package in their mail on Monday. The 14-day warning is just to cover any excessive delays. I would risk it if you are still 9 days out.

And yes, a cast member will escort you into the park to get a PP+ card free of charge.

When I order this, where can I trade it in for the card? we arent entering the park till monday and we arrive sunday and plan on going to goofy's for dinner and I would love to use it then.....

Thanks for the replies. I do recall when I preordered the PhotoCD a couple of years ago for our Disneyworld trip a few years ago that the package did arrive quickly.

I decided to roll the dice and placed the order. We don't fly out until next Friday evening.

And, it looks like the gamble pays off. I got my shipping notice on Friday and UPS says it will be here tomorrow. So, there's $30 saved.

Or, more likely, $30 that Disney will collect from me later for some pin, hat, meal, etc once I get there! :)

Another "newb" question... I can go to any character area that has thew photographers and they can scan my card right? pretty much any cast member with a disney camera???

Also I emailed them about my earlier question on using the voucher the day before our planned visit (we are going to Goofy's the night before)

Thank you for your request. You can go to Guest Relations at any park and request special admission into the park to claim your PhotoPass Plus
ID card. Guest Relations will provide you with a one hour pass so that
you can go to the Camera Center to claim your PhotoPass Plus ID card.
If you are not able to exchange your voucher for your PhotoPass Plus ID
card before your Dinner at Goofy's Kitchen, you would have to purchase
the Photo Package then request a refund at the Camera Center.
If you need to purchase the photo, please bring your receipt to the
Camera Center for the refund.
We hope you enjoy your vacation.

Okay I have a question are the Disneyland and Disney World vouchers identical? Because mine days to redeem it at a Photopass center at Disney World. Which if I weren't going to DLR in September that would be great because I'm going to WDW in Jan. But I am going to DLR in Sept and I need a voucher that works there not at WDW.

Bumping this hope you get a reply. If you don't let me know how it goes.:)

They are different. WDW is red and DLR is blue. Plus each mentions the applicable place (WDW or DLR) a few times on the voucher. Sorry

So I ordered my PP+ last night and have browsed the entire thread and still do not know where the voucher can be exchanged in DTD??Hope someone can help.

It can't be exchanged in DTD Jack. We found out the DTD info was incorrect.
You have to go to the camera store in either DL or DCA to get your card/lanyard.

Not to be too silly but with the photocd you can create online, they will mail this to you and then you can take it to any photo place to order your own prints is that the case?

Any canadian members have an issue with the cd shipping to Canada?

Once you have your photo CD you can print photos anywhere. I think you can pretty much do anything you want with them, but I would need to re-read the CD info before I say for sure.

Yes, you can. There's a nice license agreement (PDF) on the CD.

Thank you both! That makes is a pretty good deal considering the cost to do their prints via their website.

True, but the real value here is that you are getting the normally $30+ each Dining Photo Packages (Hard copy and on your PP+ card) and the normally $15 each Ride Photos (on PP+ card) included in the normal regular price of a PhotoCD.

For our 6 night stay, we are planning on going to at least 3 of the Dining locations and at least 15 photo rides, so that's over $300 for free (granted I wouldn't pay the full price for most of that, but you can see the value here).

I just wanted to let everyone know about my experience. We arrived on Tuesday, July 17th with no plans to go in park but we did have a reservation at Goofy's for dinner. I went to Guest Services and asked about an escort/shopping pass and was told they don't do that so I had to purchase a one day ticket for $87 and was told if I was back in one hour they would refund the money back to my card. I was back and it worked but I didn't like that charge/refund thing because some times refunds take longer to get put back by the CC company and that might tie up funds for someone who has a tight budget for their trip.

My exchange was fine. Make sure you get a receipt for PP+ because a cashier at the photoshop told me I could use that info if I lost my PP+ card. Also, I got receipts for most of my ride photos with the ride number after they added them. I checked my PP+ online when we got home and all rides with receipt or not were added. And, when in the parks I noticed way more PP photographers than I saw on my last trip. It was awesome!

Just wanted to post my experience.
