Hi everyone!

I have been lurking for a long time and I've debated whether to do a pre-trip report or a pre-dining report. I am a foodie. Pre-dining report it is!

This is me with my DD a year ago.

My name is Rosey and I'm an artist and satm. This honeymoon is seven years late. When DH and I got married, we couldnt afford to go. Now, we have a DD and have a sitter lined up for her, this trip is possible. DD will go eventually when she is nine. We are taking our honeymoon this year- finally!

I am frankly terrified. I am afraid that when I go, I will fall in love with WDW and not want to go anywhere else. This can happen yes?

I went to WDW when I was 8, and again when I was 14. I am coming back at 32. This will be DH's second time at WDW.

We are on the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan and staying at POFQ.

Your plans sound great! Congrats on finally getting that honeymoon!

Yes, it can and does happen that you won't want to go anywhere else. I actually fell in love with WDW twice ... first with DH and then after a 10 year absense again with DS (then 8). I am definitely one that doesn't want to vacation anywhere else!

Have a great time!

Thank you so much!

I think I am in for it now... Falling in love with WDW. I loved Disney as a child and have all their movies as well as Pixar ones. I can't wait to bring my Nikon DSLR to the trip. I am afraid my photo album will have too much food porn and not enough of me and DH.

Looking forward to your reviews! Hopefully you'll fall in love just enough that it'll be a very special place to you, yet you'll still want to go to other places. :thumbsup2

Thank you so much Here's hoping! ;) Your nickname reminds me that I must try the famous Dole Whip at the Aloha Isle. I think I better start listing all my snacks as well.

My plan is to eat so much that my DH will have to roll me onto the plane back.

Awesome plan! I think that's almost a guarantee with the Deluxe Dining Plan. :rotfl:

The dole whip might not end up as your favorite snack, but I highly recommend trying it. In fact, I recommend the pineapple-vanilla swirl dole whip, since I think the flavor contrast really adds something extra. :thumbsup2

I hope I can do my dining plan justice. I am usually a healthy eater with a healthy appetite.

Thanks for your recommendation. I was leaning towards the swirl because pure pineapple juice tends to leave my mouth dry. I was also looking into the jalapeño cheese pretzel which I can only seem to find in the Animal Kingdom?

I've never had it, but I think the jalapeño cheese pretzel might also be in Epcot (at the US pavilion).

And that's such a great pic of you and your DD in the intro! :goodvibes

 Hi Rosey and welcome to the Disboards!

I think you've made some great dining choices for your Honeymoon trip! I'm especially happy to see that you are dining at my favorite Disney restaurant, California Grill. I can't wait to read about your experience there, as well as all the other great restaurants at which you are dining. :thumbsup2

Hi Rosey! You have some excellent restaurant choices! Congratulations on the belated honeymoon but it'll be worth the wait. :thumbsup2

I can tell you that you'll still want to visit places other than Disney. But if you're like me, you won't ever get to any of those places because you keep going back to WDW! :rotfl2: You will definitely love an adults only trip - I did one with my sister and it was totally different than going with kids (not necessarily better, just different and fun of course)! My sister and I did the Keys to the Kingdom tour (it's adults only) and it's amazing so you might like that as well if you're looking for anything like that.

I'm glad to see that you have beignets on your list. They are great!

Congrats on the delayed honeymoon! I also fell in love with WDW twice. Before my son was born DH and I used to go quite often (including on our honeymoon). Last trip was when I was 5 months pregnant with DS until he turned 5. Now I say I need to move to FL so I can vacation someplace else!! Looking forward to your review!

Thank you! DD is about one and a half in that pic. The colorful carousel made such a nice background. I will definitely keep an eye out for the jalapeño pretzel in Epcot.

Thank you so much! I adore seeing your food reviews and I am thrilled you're here. I hope the bison is on the menu when I eat at California Grill during my stay. I never had bison before and it seems like the perfect opportunity to try it there.

Thanks! I feel a tad guilty about going without DD but this is a honeymoon after all and quality time with the DH. DD will eventually go to WDW when she is 9. I am really looking forward to it,

Thanks! I really think it is possible to fall in love with WDW. When I went with my family two times before, I loved it. I think it will be just as wonderful when we finally take DD with us in the future.

Fantastic dining choices!! Congratulations on your belated honeymoon xx

Thank you so much! I wanted to get a reservations to Le Cellier and Bistro de Paris but I couldn't get any. I started planning 70 or so days ahead. I wished I had even more time to plan but DH and I didn't even know we could go. We have the best sitter lined up for DD now and she is making this trip possible.

Congrats on your honeymoon!!! Looks like we will be at POFQ at the same time!! Your plans look great! I do think you will love wdw so much that you won't want to go anywhere, but there is nothing wrong with that! ;)

Hope you have a wonderful Disneymoon!!!

I can't wait to try the fresh, hot beignets at Sassagoula's.

What you said sounds right- if I fall in love and decide to just keep coming back, there is nothing wrong with that.

Have you finished all your dining plans as well?

I have just made another change? Hollywood and Vine is out. Cape May Cafe is in.

I just have to figure out how to get to the Disney Beach Club from POFQ.

What time is your breakfast planned for?

My choice would probably be to take a bus to Hollywood Studios and then walk, but if you're already tired of walking, you could take a bus to Magic Kingdom or Downtown Disney and switch buses (the risk there is you're more reliant on buses).

Our breakfast is for 9:05. I was thinking of taking a taxi? We will be spending the day at Hollywood Studios so I think we can take take the friendship boat back to HS.

Does that sound good? I figure the taxi won't cost as much and would save us ton of time since it is relatively close by.

You could ride the bus to Epcot and just walk there through the international gateway. It is just a short walk to the Beach Club resort from there, then you could take the boat or walk to Hollywood Studios after your meal.
