Brandi I a so sorry to learn about your uncle. As you said he is no longer in pain and at peace. How is your dad doing? Sending prayers for you and your family. If there is anything I can do…please.

I really was getting worried. Glad I made it before you had to hit the alarm. :lmao: Has everyone reported in now?

Ann,

I think we might need to do a roll call and make sure everyone is accounted for...

I have kinda been distracted this last week, so I am not sure if everyone has checked in.

As for my Dad he is doing a little better everyday, but he does have a strong support system.

Thanks for the offer,

Brandi

Here is the latest list of everyone visiting in 2012.
Just to keep a rolling year....

If you have any updates please let me know...

Please add me to the list for Sept 1st-8th.:cool1: Can't wait! Thanks!

....ahhhhh, life is good once again - I'm drinking a cup of coffee with THIS:

Oh yes, they'll give you a list of everything available when you check in. You are correct about the pools. The walk is about ten minutes between them, but you can always take the complimentary shuttle bus.

There are plenty of other viewing opportunities throughout the resort. On the room request, if you request a Zebra Trail room you would have the viewing windows on the way to your room. It's not that much farther to walk, and you would have to be in the first two pods to have the pool view. It's totally a personal preference, Giraffe Trail would be closer coming back from the parks.

I'll also be in a pool view room, but I requested Zebra Trail (just because I had a first floor room in the Giraffe Trail the last time I stayed there. I usually prefer a first floor room, but did not request a floor this time, because with Boma, the food court, showers, arcade, Kids Club, etc being over on that side, I wasn't sure there were any first floor rooms on the Zebra trail. Are there? Any particular floor I should request? Also where are the laundry rooms located. I hope to do carry on only this trip and may need to wash a load of clothes.

....yes there are, but it might be noisier than Giraffe Trail. Personally, I'd opt for 3rd floor, near the elevator if I were requesting Zebra Trail....

Take a look at this map: http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/aklmap.htm

After the 2nd pod of rooms on Zebra Trail, there is a laundry room on the first floor -- that's also where there are some first floor rooms! Enjoy!! :thumbsup2

....is that new? When we stayed in Zebra Trail, I used the laundry room and it was next to the Simba Clubhouse. Did they move it or add another laundry room? :confused3

According to the map it looks like those rooms would be overlooking the roof of Boma. Does that roof distract from the view of the pool?:confused3

Thanks! If those rooms are going to be noisy though, I might be better off on a higher floor. Third floor looks good. It'd be nice to be able to just walk straight out to the lobby.

....no. Boma's roof is actually more on the Giraffe Trail side, not Zebra....

....yup, you'll wind up right near the indoor fireplace/firepit, but there is also an elevator over there, near the public ladies' room, not to mention, another public viewing area. It's above the Arusha Rock viewing area - very nice to sit and relax with a cup of coffee on one of the rockers and watch the animals!
