Character Meals Super Thread!!

I was just discussing this with DH last night when deciding whether to go back here. My girls do love the dancing/singing/repeat visits you get at the other character meals - BUT - they actually have time to eat their food at Ariel's Grotto :thumbsup2

When we are the others they are either interacting, getting up to dance, taking pictures, or just scoping out who the next character will be to come visit us. At Ariel's - after the last princess comes by - we ALL get to relax and enjoy the food and still have wonderful memories with the princesses.

This is true......it's a very set pattern the princesses do. Not as much "chaos" and actually a relaxing meal. I like that each meal has it's own personality and there's usually a character meal that will fit everyone!! :goodvibes

Wanted to add some of the food pics from some of our trips. These are from Surf's Up with Mickey at the PCH Grill in the Paradise Pier Hotel.

Oh man, PCH is definitely the best as far as food AND character-to-guest ratio!! All those photos make me want to go right now!!

They had a page at the beginning announce right when they all came out but no curtsy lessons when we were there. I think we are going to do Surf's up next time we go especially after seeing your great pictures Diznee!

They seem to keep changing that meal....lol The page did the announcing, they taught you to bow or curtsey and then they even taught you how to dance. It was cute, but I always felt that the diners sitting outside were missing out on the show. This may be why they stopped doing that.

Surf's Up is a fun meal and we love the buffet because it offers different things. :hyper:

Wow! That food looks good at Surf's Up! For our trip, I narrowed it down to Minne and Surf's Up (DH only wanted to do one). We ended up going to Minnie's, but if I had seen those Surf's Up food pictures before our trip, I probably would have chosen Surf's Up! :rotfl:

So very true!!! I also like that Surf's Up is outside the park so we can hit it on the day of check out.

:thumbsup2 We did that last time too! This time, we're going to try Ariel's Grotto on a park day, then Goofy's Kitchen the morning we leave. Hopefully we'll get to try Minnie & Friends and Storytellers Cafe on a future visit. It will be nice to try them all & see which one we like best.

I think you should try them all.......each person/couple/family is different & each meal is different & the food is different. You need to try them all to find out which one fits you best!! We love doing all of them because they do offer different things!!

This might be a silly question but our plan was to split our two park days with a day in between to do character meals. We were thinking we would do a breakfast and then Ariel's dinner. Will not be able to do that because we'll need to be able to get into the park?
