Show off your door!!

Many of the designs I used came from this thread:

Milliepie has a ton of blanks in her Photobucket & 4Shared files.

The stateroom ears came from this thread:

I printed everything on photo paper, laminated it, and then put magnets on the back. For some, I just used old business magnets from my fridge. After I ran out of those, I bought a role of magnetic tape at the craft store.

HTH!

ETA: I downloaded both the Disney and pirate font from the Internet so I could customize the blanks. The DISigners will do this for you but I needed so many that I didn't want to ask them to customize enough for four doors.

From my weekend cruise out of NYC this past weekend...

FYI - all the magnets you see were cut out using scissors... Just take your time and hold the scissors steady, and steer around curves by moving the magnetic paper only... You will get a smoother looking cut!!!

If you don't mind my asking, what kind of magnetic paper did you use. I've heard many horror stories of it ruining the ink cartridges

I actually use adhesive backed magnet sheets. This allows me to print my designs on regular paper and cut them out as needed.. I order mine ffrom Oriental Trading - 12 8x11 sheets for like $10 bucks or so...

They are easy to cut with scissors too!!

Here is the link to the item#

Hope that helps!!

I had printed my Mickey Porthole Ears wrong, so I took them down after the photo, but We did a Toy Story Theme with our door when we went to Alaska on the Wonder in June ;)

What do u call the decoration surrounding the room # and where do u find the graphic for them? I have searched dis but haven't had any luck. Thx for any help uncanny give. :)

where did everyone have their magnets printed? I found vista print, but b/c Im designing the designs then loading them, the site is charging me almost 4.00 for each design I load and want to print...is this right? are there better deals?

I print on white card stock at home, then use my scotch brand laminating machine (paid like 30 dollars for it), then use the adhesive magnets on the back. They seen to stay on my fridge so I thunk they will work on the ship.

I do the same except I dont laminate them I have never found a need to do it. I buy the roll of magnet tape and cut of a couple pieces and place it on the back. I try to at least use 2 pieces (opposite corners) so it sticks good when the door shuts and on bigger ones I use 4 pieces (each corner). I havent had any stolen and am still using a few from the 1st cruise 3 cruises ago.
