I think in order to add them here again we have to go into your albums and code your pic links. Is that OK with you?? I didn't want to do it without your consent. :)

Yes, I'd love to add some to the first page, but am not sure how to do it. As it is, posting pictures through photobucket is a pain (IMO). There's GOT to be a better way to quickly put pictures up on this board!:confused3

To post others' images, all you have to do is right mouse click on the image and choose "COPY IMAGE ADDRESS." Then simply paste the image address into the little yellow postcard icon above and...

I read your post on the other thread and thought I would reply here :). Glad I could help (somewhat) with the GF refurb information. I also wanted to say that GF RPC is amazing. The food offerings are the same in both RPC and SL, but the atmosphere in RPC is much better, IMO, and the CMs are some of the best :thumbsup2. Plus the RPC lounge is so spacious that even when there are alot of people up there, it isn't as chaotic as SL.....makes for a much more relaxing trip ;).

Thank you Mickeynut1 that is good to hear. "Someday my Grand Flordian RPC stay will come." (hearing music played in background to this)

We order water from wegoshop every year. I just ordered 6 cases for our August trip the other day. I also order diapers for my DD and Greek yogurt for myself. I have never had a problem with them. They only charge you what the grocery store charger, plus a service fee. They will shop at multiple stores if you need them to. They will go to Costco, Target, Publix, Walmart, etc. I usually opt for Walmart.

Thank you for the Wegoshop tip. We ordered water from GG last time, sounds like Wego will be less expensive. :thumbsup2

I also prefer to order a case or two of water to have for our stay. The tap water at WDW is really awful. After having been turned down for more than a plastic cup of water to take to my room from the lounge on our first CL stay I just find it easier than either paying Disney costs for bottled water or hope to have a CM/resort who is willing to give us a bottle or two.

Please don't think I am saying anything against the CM's of these wonderful resorts. We both drink a lot of water while in Florida, we come from a dry climate and are water drinkers.

If we have any left over we leave it for the IPO as they don't have water provided for them. Also, the bellservice desk was very happy to receive it a few years ago.

No problem. I really like their service. This will be our fifth time using them.

No problem :goodvibes. I never thought I'd stay RPC, but once I did, it really spoiled me ;).

Good Morning Everyone!

Here are a few recent pics of the AKL lounge....

Ya know...I wish we had spent more time at AKL Club Level. We frequently travel with friends, but my DP and I go down 2 nights early and try a resort that we haven't yet try, and in 2010, we picked AKL. We wanted to stay CL both nights, but they were sold out. I tried on the phone and computer every day, and begged (politely :rotfl:) at check-in, but they only had a CL room for one night, so our CL experience at AKL was limited. I thought the lounge was gorgeous, but I was annoyed that the rooms were so far away from it.

hstrickland, can I cut and paste your pictures to the AKL post on page one?

Don't mind at all:thumbsup2...and you're right...it was a bit of a walk to the lounge. Thank heavens our room wasn't at the end of Kudu Trail!

I love the pics....thanks so much for posting them :goodvibes. I thought YC CL was what I was going to book for a few nights prior to our cruise in July 2013, but my DSs brought up staying at AKL again. We've had both a pool view and savanna view, but I have been wanting to try CL there and seeing these pics is pushing me that direction :rolleyes1. I see it is like WL CL in that the lounge overlooks the lobby (which is one thing I love about WL CL ;)), with the exception that the seating here does not go around the railing like at the WL.

I was annoyed that the rooms were so far away from it.

you're right...it was a bit of a walk to the lounge. Thank heavens our room wasn't at the end of Kudu Trail!

This is one thing I have read that I don't like. Are there any rooms close by the lounge or are they all a distance since the CL rooms are savannah views?

:rotfl: Mine too :goodvibes

Maybe this is why I can't get there....Nothing else will compare

Our first CL stay was at WL and we LOVED it :lovestruc. Next was GF SL and then RPC. I didn't care for SL much as I thought the lounge was small and it got very chaotic. The RPC lounge, on the other hand, is very spacious and the CMs are top notch (same goes for WL CL CMs) :thumbsup2. With that said, WL CL ranks right up there with RPC for us. As much as I want to try other CLs, I'm hesitant because I'm afraid they won't live up to those 2 experiences :(.

 I am hopeful OFC will restore some CL love into my DH....he liked AKL even though we were FAR away from the lounge. He liked SL too, but didn't love the price, and if he didn't like that you can imagine how he feels about RPC....we'll get there...as a family. Hopefully 2013 :hyper: Occupancy was way low when we went due to Hurricane Irene so maybe that's why SL wasn't crowded

If I remember correctly, the lounge is on the 6th floor, somewhat centrally located, and the only other rooms on that floor are DVC. All standard, non-DVC CL rooms are on the 4th floor. We had to walk down the hallway, past the "center" of the resort, and board an elevator to ride up 2 floors to get to the lounge. It's by no means the end of the world, but having stayed RPC and at the Inkeeper's Club, I can tell you that the distance between our room and the lounge was much shorter there.

OK, so on the main page, there are now pictures attatched to CR, GF-RPC (though I'd like much better ones), BWI, AKL, BC, and YC.

I'll spend the next day or so combing the resort picture threads for pictures and asking appropriate permissions.

When were the AKL "recent" pictures taken? My wife might be in the one - can't quite tell.

We loved the OFC and thought the food offerings were great and the CMs were amazing.......I'm sure your DH will love it too :goodvibes. RPC is pretty pricey, but a good discount makes it a little easier to take ;).

I didn't realize the DVC rooms took up the whole CL floor.....thanks for that information :). That makes sense then why it's a hike to the lounge from a standard CL room.

Thanks for compiling all the different CL pics :wizard:.

Great job! :thumbsup2
Reading this thread makes me so excited to get back! :cloud9:

I have a couple of questions about the itinerary I received from the IPO.

1. It lists our flight info and talks about the ME. We didn't have the info when I originally booked the resort reservation but did have it when filling out the IPO questionnaire. Do I still need to contact ME with my flight info.

2. I had emailed the IPO a room request. Wasn't on the itinerary. Is this information typically on there.

Thanks! I am feeling like I am in a planning lull and now obsessing about the details of stuff I have already done/booked.
